19h35 INGO my husband and I had to leave the SDA church many years ago We have learnt from Oswald Chambers about dying to a RIGHT TO OURSELVES He gave up a bed during WW11 when he had an appendix attack and died !

Such a beautiful topic. I hope there will be some follow up information to encourage those who are in ministry service. I know of some working in ministry who believe they must work themselves to death to be like Jesus, and make others feel guilty for not doing the same. Putting self last should never be assumed we deny our body temple of it’s need of rest…. Or other basic needs of health. Our first duty to God is to worship Him through health, and properly preparing our body temples for His in-dwelling spirit.
It is not essential for us to be able to define just what the Holy Spirit is. Christ tells us that the Spirit is the Comforter, "the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father." It is plainly declared regarding the Holy Spirit that, in His work of guiding men into all truth, "He shall not speak of Himself." John 15:26; 16:13.
The nature of the Holy Spirit is a mystery. Men cannot explain it, because the Lord has not revealed it to them. Men having fanciful views may bring together passages of Scripture and put a human construction on them, but the acceptance of these views will not strengthen the church. Regarding such mysteries, which are too deep for human understanding, silence is golden. AA 52.1
Written in an era in our church when the majority of its members did NOT believe in the Trinity…. Very different now, still we may not be able to understand fully but we can know Gods spirit is not a third person…

Ingo another reason he said I thirst is because it fulfilled a prophecy about him, proof that he is the Messiah. Psalms 69:21 which I believe is there to stop all the fantacism that exist in the sda church over food. So many people pride themselves in not eating vinegar but they mistakenly believe he didn't partake of it so that's proof it's evil and we should not eat it at all ever. It becomes fanaticism quickly. But Jesus clearly did partake of the vinegar. KJV John 19:28-30 28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. 29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Jesus received the vinegar to emphasize he is not looking for another group of Pharisees. He is looking for a people that believe his words: KJV Matthew 15:11 11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
The Messiah is returning to RAPTURE His Church (1 Thessalonians 4: 13 - 18). Watch: "You don’t want to leave your churches where GOD is not, to come to where the LORD is!" on Prepare in Repentance & Holiness. Amen
