I've built this farm in my world. I hooked a dropper to one of the bonemeal collection chests, powered it with the same line as the dispenser that grows the moss and routed bonemeal via water streams back to the hopper line that feeds the dispenser. This way for every one bonemeal used exactly one is delivered back and the farm can run forever fully automatically. Edit: I use composters in the collection area to convert all the collected moss stuff straight to bonemeal.
@darknightoftroy First, try adding more items to the hopper clock: 5 items is the absolute minimum, with 4 items cobble generates rapidly, with 6 items I ran this farm in my single player world for 12 hours straight and not a single block of cobble was generated. If the above doesn't help, than your "something very similar" may not be good enough -- the core of the farm should be exactly as Etho's. *Piston timings are extremely important for this design.* Finally, I did not test this on a server. Server lag or server plugins might break the farm. Good luck!

I would be more than happy to support you, and I hope the small amount I put forward can help keep the amazing content flowing. Love you brother, thank you for making the world a better place!
As a first time viewer, I really loved watching and listening to Etho's commentary while he built the redstone mechanics for the moss farm. I found it nice and relaxing - it also gave me some ideas for my own farms, so I appreciate leaving those parts in. :D
you can probably do something where hermits can rent the back wall of your farm and use it as a billboard for their shops, maybe a really big ad or a couple smaller ones
Scars latest video: Now I don't carry ender pearls on me, because I'm not a nerd. Etho: Snoops all over Scar's base using ender pearls. 😂 That moss/bonemeal far is genius by the way!

@@HulluHurtta I guess we should all have known better, hermits are masters of trolling, and Etho is the king of trolls. I'm kinda bummed we'll have to watch someone else's video to see Etho's real hiding space.
It’s crazy how long Etho has been making my (our) favorite content on youtube, from chocolate island and boat mechanics to here. Etho really is the most consistent part of my life, and I think lots of others probably have a similar feeling. It’s like getting to hang out with your best friend from middle school, except he’s your neighbor and you see him every week 😄
I never realized the irony of Iskall building the no wings club in the sky... omg lol honestly your entire base falls into that irony but you remedy it with the tridents. Looking forward to more of that riptide stuff!
I think part of why he made the NWC was to help encourage people to use other means of travel. Like horses, boats, tridents, minecarts and enderporters. I think he said the whole riptide trident thing would be boring with wings. Its been a while since i watched his episode.
I really like that you actually show the redstone contraptions. Last season I wanted to replicate the Googler and boy was it a painful experience trying to piece all the limited information together from a single video. Whilst this moss farm was very easy to replicate in my own world and it works like a charm.
16:08 Move those hoppers so that they feed into the top of the dispenser. Where they are now, no moss can grow beneath them. It won't provide a huge boost to the farm but it's such a simple fix you might as well.
I love how etho and iskall have been living together for like three episodes and they're already arguing like an old married couple 'If I get a 1000 days you get me a donkey' 'I hate donkeys' 'I want you to give me two donkeys' 'Okay I will get you two donkeys'
Etho, I heard of immense temperatures in some regions of Canada, you even mentioned it in the end of the last video. I'm Russian myself, we have around the same climate, so STAY ALIVE, I'm with you! x)
i personally love watching the redstone !! its so satisfying for me to think of different issues in my head as im watching---like how is he gonna generate the stone uniformly, how is he gonna get rid of the carpets---and watch the way you problem solved kind of in real time, and see if i could've thought of the same thing or could keep up with your thought process. i feel like it really improves my redstone skills the best just to watch this error-identifying process (it helps contextualize redstone through my own programming lens)
Thank you for explaining and walking through the redstone, it really does help get a better understanding of how things work. Also can I say, You and Iskall have such a great chemistry together... a punny, pranky, goofy combo that just cracks me up every time... its also good to see you interacting with others a bit more casually then before. Keep up the awesome work my man!
It’s like with Cub, he said that while digging the hole for his slime farm he already killed so many slime that he had enough slimeballs for the rest of the season probably
When you get a chance if you haven't looked at it already. You might want to go and look at XB's moss farm. It is nice to see different designs for the same type of farm.
Building redstone is not boring! Thats one of the redstone build i usually will enjoy really much. Please keep more redstone build coming. I enjoy it so much, etho!
You gotta keep in mind, Etho has been around a long time. I recently watched some of X's Hermitcraft Season 1 episodes. And one of them featured that hopper clock. And even then, it seems to have been around a while. Etho IS a master of the subject.
@@etepmaximus5886 to that point, the best way to get better at redstone is to just do it. Follow a door tutorial, make a filter, try and make a system yourself. Redstone is made of basic components, some are things like observers and repeaters and some are in world constructs like logic gates and etho clocks. The more you mess around with it the more you will intuitively make the "multiblock components" and know why. Also if you make a crappy redstone door that works it isn't a crappy door, it has character and charm and is YOUR door. Etho's man cave is filled with "basic" 3x3 doors with a hole in the middle so he can throw an ender pearl through it and not deal with double piston extender nonsense. Even Grian learned basic fly machine magic by osmosis from Mumbo. Eventually you get it and don't have as many 🤯 moments looking at redstone. Or you can chose to be great at other things like how Scar can build like no other.
*Awesome farm, Etho!* I've built it in my world. I feed all the collected moss stuff straight to composters (one per each hopper). Then I hooked a dropper to one of my bonemeal collection chests, powered it with the same line as the dispenser that grows the moss and routed bonemeal via water streams back to the hopper line that feeds the dispenser. This way for every one bonemeal used exactly one is delivered back and the farm can run forever fully automatically.
This is pretty much the perfect etho episode, messing around with other hermits, cracking jokes, doing unique redstone builds, putting in a ton of effort. Keep it up!
This has been such a great intro to this season. It's been amazing seeing the collaboration and all the hermits seem SO much happier to be teaming up and getting back to sort of basic Minecraft gaming. Hermits I never used to watch I find myself tuning into because everyone is so happy! I love this season so much.
This fine sophisticated entertainment ethos offering us is so beyond entertaining!! Loved the hype, collab, and the cool idea of mass production room. We just can't get enough of etho!!!
I love the no fly club!! I think about pretty often how much I missed you enderpearling everywhere, there was just something very etho and chaotic about it. The elytras are fun but it's nice to take a break and go back to the old ways for a while.
Loved seeing how the moss farm was made!! Awesome how it's at the center of the other bone meal farms. Making even farms have good aesthetics! Only got lost at the point where Etho was wiring in the water flooding system. Well, maybe a bit before that. lol. But both the moss farm and drowned farm are something I need to make so it was really great to see these examples!!
Etho you have to find a place on that road and make a moss shop because I'm sure some hermits would rather buy than farm moss. Then give discounts for people riding donkeys
I started watching Etho when I was in middle school and now I'm halfway through college- it's so lovely to still see new videos and hear how happy he still is :) btw Etho, you really got me through some tough times as a kiddo, thank you!

I can tell how much fun etho’s having this season. I may not get every part of the redstone, but i do enjoy seeing you build it or at least get the jist of it. I also like the idea of the inside of the mountains being full of farms and mad-scientist style lairs.
The part of this video where you rode around the horse trails and checked out a bunch of bases and the tag game made me so happy! I love seeing all the collaboration this season; it makes me feel like you’re all excited to be there :)
0:17 ''We're gonna go for Cooper! I think thats a good name''
*Cooper's face seems to change to a sad one*
Etho; ''aight imma just quickly cut away there''
I love etho that last shot of the massive drowned farm could’ve been the Thumbnail but he made it a random part of the half built moss farm. Please never change etho
Etho is known for never really making thumbnails
to be fair a big rectangular prism of moss is much less impressive than a redstone contraption
The drowned farm made me think of the maze from Harry Potter for some reason 😅
its a shot of the finished moss farm.

At 15:05 the sound you make when you see the cobblestone is prizeless. Lmao.
That's the 'Doc Brown when his model car set his garage on fire' gasp. 😂
I was expecting him to say "nO hOhO"
sounded like part of his soul escaped his body
At 3:43 I love that Etho instinctively switches to his looting sword for shooting the ghast, even though he isn't going for the tears.
When etho put in that second ring of glass I actually didn't see it coming
Not gonna lie, he got me with that one. LOL
The moss farm looks so cool as it runs, I’m copying it in my world 100%
its so cool how he and ilmango came up with very similar ideas! (im not hating and saying one stole from the other. Just wanted to say that before someone gets mad)
@@pvic6959 it’s kind of impossible to build any other kind of farm the idea is simple turn stone into moss

Kingof the ladder was an amazing episode! Just full of old jokes and amazing content!
King of the Ladder is my comfort YT video
King of The Ladder is an epic video :D
That was probably the best episode of Mindcrack Etho ever made.
I really like the light-heartedness and silliness you're showing more and more in your editing and commenting style, Etho. It's been there for a while, but you seem so comfortable doing little bits and putting on a funny between-your-teeth voice, it's very nice to know you're having fun!

You should make “roads” of water pods to use the trident on instead of the elytra
*like the dream smp*
@@roboticenby They weren't the ones that invented them right?
I doubt it but I don’t know
I think that's what they're already doing, albeit on a smaller scale
How about EATS road 2.0?
Your giant green billboard looks like the perfect place for some pixel art.
Or even some more 3D stuff like the animals on his base on last season :> Either would be neat!
I was thinking of the same thing! It would be nice if it is decorated with murals.
I would ABSOLUTELY love to see a collab with Mumbo and have a huge feed tape art installation around it. Seriously.
This is my first (and probably only) channel I have ever paid a membership for. Etho, we love you. You have built our childhood, and given us memories we can never forget.
Etho has the most supportive community i've ever seen on youtube.
Maybe tied with Xisuma
@@konkey-dong or maybe goodtimeswithscar
It's cause he's one of the least toxic channels on RUclips
aw, you're awesome too!
Hermitcraft in general tends to have a good community.
you can probably do something where hermits can rent the back wall of your farm and use it as a billboard for their shops, maybe a really big ad or a couple smaller ones
"We assert dominance over our redstone." Quote of the day.
Today X called the Enderman farm "the ender ender" and it brought me straight back to your LP 🙂
Scars latest video: Now I don't carry ender pearls on me, because I'm not a nerd. Etho: Snoops all over Scar's base using ender pearls. 😂 That moss/bonemeal far is genius by the way!
Lol, scar trolling everyone by "hiding it in the chimney".
Yeah, they all hide it one place on camera then move it straight after
Was a great move, I got excited for a moment when Etho did mention chimney at least as third place he thought it might be in. First thought he just missed it when it wasn't there.
@@HulluHurtta I guess we should all have known better, hermits are masters of trolling, and Etho is the king of trolls. I'm kinda bummed we'll have to watch someone else's video to see Etho's real hiding space.
Always good to watch more Hermits ;) And if one is short on time which is understandable, that's what Hermitcraft Recap is for!
"Etho realy is the most consistent part of my life" So true! A happy Etho is a happy world!
There are a lot of us subscribers who've followed him for years. We've not grown as much as for some other RUclipsrs, but we're more loyal than most.
I never realized the irony of Iskall building the no wings club in the sky... omg lol honestly your entire base falls into that irony but you remedy it with the tridents. Looking forward to more of that riptide stuff!
Really? Iskall mentions it in his video.
@@seregruin I must've missed it! I tend to watch hermitcraft while I'm doing other stuff. I watched that episode never realizing haha
I think part of why he made the NWC was to help encourage people to use other means of travel. Like horses, boats, tridents, minecarts and enderporters.
I think he said the whole riptide trident thing would be boring with wings. Its been a while since i watched his episode.
Him calling it a “hopper clock” and not an “etho hopper clock” always gets me.
Makes sense though. If you go to Korea to eat "Korean BBQ", it would just be "BBQ".
I love how etho and iskall have been living together for like three episodes and they're already arguing like an old married couple
'If I get a 1000 days you get me a donkey'
'I hate donkeys'
'I want you to give me two donkeys'
'Okay I will get you two donkeys'
Thats called compromise 😆
Keep up the awesome work my man!
only etho would build a drowned farm and get the trident in the middle of building it

Etho doing redstone: «This is actually not that hard»
Me: 🤯
You gotta keep in mind, Etho has been around a long time.
@@jasonreed7522 Yeah, I think I will stay with the building, which I’m the best at.
“Okay Etho is a bit of a genius, turns out”
26:50 when your farm is so efficient, you got a trident before the farm is complete 😂🤣😂🤣
Redstone with etho is always a blessing, you explain what each part is so well!
The trident farm being made of moss looks kinda sick
Yeah, looks like one of those "invisible" cloak things, where it distorts (Since moss matches grass) the environment.
Dang ethos upload schedule is like old days.
Yeah and it's amazing
only the OG's remember :') jokes aside, im so happy hes really feeling it lately. You can tell hes having a blast and i love that for him
A trident shop can definitely make some money now with all the no-wings club
Keep it up!
just started watching , im hooked already

Welcome
Etho's series in season 7 was great, I would recomend it
You two need a super nice road leading up to the no wings club house. Seeing as the 2 projects go so hand in hand
Me whenever Etho uploads: okay, I guess I’m watching this now
Scar went live at the same time on twitch, and he he rarely does. The choice was obvious.
My 2 favorite hermits living together. It’s a dream come true

Just leaving a comment to show my support for Etho! Feeding that algorithm
I love the no fly club!! I think about pretty often how much I missed you enderpearling everywhere, there was just something very etho and chaotic about it. The elytras are fun but it's nice to take a break and go back to the old ways for a while.
15:03 quickly went up to my top 5 etho moments
also the moss farm is fantastic and easy to follow, def gonna build it myself!
That drowned tank looks unreal and so unlike what etho usually builds!
The farm gives me Ethos LP mob farm vibes 😆 used to be a giant cobblestone cube. Then a penguin. Now it's the pyramid near Sandy Desert
I started watching Etho when I was in middle school and now I'm halfway through college- it's so lovely to still see new videos and hear how happy he still is :) btw Etho, you really got me through some tough times as a kiddo, thank you!
Do not tell iskall how quickly you got a trident, he will be super upset.
well... he probably built for hours on that farm.
The whole episode you sound so excited. Good to see and hear!!
Definitely liking the no elytra, or at least only when really needed. It was pretty cool imagining the shops along the road as you mentioned it.
I like how iskall is like "maybe etho and I could share the egg time" and etho just goes "nah don't let iskall know" LOL
I had actually forgotten that you would sometimes show your redstone work in older videos.. I love it! I'd love to see more of it. I'm not the greatest at redstone but your creativity and knowledge is so interesting that I've gotten more into redstone more over the years. Great episode as always. Thanks, Etho!
that moss farm has such a satisfying touch..especially the sound! it sounds like one of those old steam engines i had as a toy when i was small
