No offense, Guzu because you seem like a good dude and you create good content. It's more like 290 extras who should have no lines but think they're the main character and maybe 10-20 people actually worthy to be called a side or main character. A lot of the people in the guild are insufferable and unwatchable.

I said "290 extras" and when you understand how a content guild is ran they utilize the smaller creators in the same way a director would use extras in a film compared to how they utilize the "10-20" streamers that you constantly see involved with bigger audiences aka the "main" and "side" characters. I said "a lot of the people in the guild are insufferable and unwatchable" because after being highly interested in the project in general and watching hours worth of raids, dungeons, leveling, tribute chests, events, duels, guild meetings, drafts, reactions and a lot of various "onlyfangs" tagged streamers both big and small on various platforms this time around it's the opinion I've arrived at thus far. I realize that some streamers slip into the rage bait category so they're purposely acting in that manner to attempt to attract more hate watchers which makes them more insufferable than watchable to me. I don't have to know each member personally to know if the image they project on stream is of an insufferable and unwatchable person and you don't have to agree with my assessment or opinion.. that's the wonderful thing about free thinking.

ZNN is so satirical it elevates the drama into a full blown parody rather than just fanning the flames like everyone else does. I think thats why its ended up being so funny and arguably the most entertaining thing to come out of OnlyFangs. Sunglitters definitely deserves a lot of the credit though everyone loves her. With all that said drama still has it's place. Nobody is going to forget the Pirate moment, even Josh himself said the line. Though he is right its basically reality TV for nerds.

As someone who raided MC/BWL in 2004/2005, I no longer play, watching the Only Fangs drama is reality TV gold. The more things change the more the stay the same...

The entire story, all the deaths, the events that happened all the way up to T1s wipe being done in such a legendary style that its going down in the books with moments like Leroy Jenkins.
I've been on Alliance, but this fresh run while also playing HC has been some of the most fun with some of the coolest people I've met on wow.
But nothing lasts forever. As I soon approach 60, many people I've played with have already moved on. Some couldn't make it, they gave up after a brutal death. Others achieved their goals and retired from the world. And soon, my time will come to fish my last fish off the docks of Booty Bay.

Any big creator that's like "TRUE" is comical. Like your entire worth originates from making content for people that are terminally online. You don't make it by casually being consumed.
That is not true. I casually consume content from various spheres - I did not care about state of affairs in Onlyfangs prior to Pirate situation.
I do not care about any loot drama, cause that's just boring - there is only two outcomes, either one person gets it, or another, so what.
But I am very onboard with HC raids of Onlyfangs, cause that is engaging and can result in any unexpected way. In first raid (Soda as RL) half of raid nearly died because someone said to shortcut jumping over lava crack that deals 2000 per second. Or on second raid (Tyler RL) - they were 3 seconds away from -40 wipe on Geddon. That is very interesting to watch.
But when OnlyFangs stop raiding like this - I will not watch any of these streamers, I will bounce away to some Hololive stuff, or something else that I am vaguely interested in.
That's 100% valid way of choosing content - one week I am onboard with some WoW stuff, then some event in Hololive draws my attention away, then something else apprears, etc etc.
It didnt become a drama guild. it was MADE AS A DRAMA GUILD. Jersey Shore for terminally online people was the absolute plan for the guild. Sodapoppin was 100000000000000000000% aware of this. That was his selling point.

Every guild in every MMO ever has clique and drama. All of them.
I think people way overblow how much "drama" there has been. The only actual drama was the whole pirate thing. Outside of that its just been memes and funny content.
Ya it's like 5% "actual" drama where chatters are ppl malicious and mean, and 95% innocent fun about video game mistakes.
Not to mention Grubby has been one of the main stars rising from all this... and the dude doesn't have a toxic bone in his body.

I think it was great. There were a couple negatives and overwhelming positives and hilarious moments.
ZNN with Sunglitters has been some of my all time favorite WoW content.
here's the thing, Only Fangs has 100% came with drama. But i've discovered so many cool Streamers/Content Creators that i wouldn't have found on my own without it (Guzu being one of them). So you know, you take the good with the bad.

The reason Onlyfangs is successful is because it has the drama for the drama Andys but theres also incredibly high level world of warcraft moments that only happen in hardcore with the best players.
This season also has the benefit of other gaming communities switching to wow for the first time and a bunch of females from various content creation websites having a go.
its wow not that hard. Not even a little and dont say play i then cause i did. I used to sell unkilled players oin ebay all day long. ALL DAY LONG yet they are playing because even as pathetic as wow is and its players there isnt anywhere for them to go so they scream and cry to keep themselves relevant because they got 15+ years in and have NOTHING ELSE to get your clicks to pay them.

I really love the drama. Reality TV shows are just boring since I don't relate with a bunch of hot people in a house but I do relate with a bunch of nerds slaying dragons. I hope they get better at it with the storylines instead of doing amateur improv all the time like other media did with improving wrestling for example or other reality TV shows

I myself noticed how I saw the Pirate drama but felt like it was some kind of dogpiling - and chose his side initially. I.e. was contrary to popular opinion. I had certain reasoning for that, etc etc. But after some time I can see how it was clearly very roachy thing to do from him. Plus I saw how other mages manage to play and utilize 1rank abilities skillfully, how Pirate was preaching about how the mages should save groups like not so many hours prior, how he started witchhunting both fellow streamers and audience.
And now I can see how I didn't have enough information initially but already made a decision based mostly to oppose the perceived unfairness.
tl;dr - people not only want to join the crowd, but also want to oppose it. That's how the drama is fueled basically.

Drama can be fun sometimes to watch, but the drama stuff quickly got out of control in OF. The Pirate drama was funny the first day, the second day was like "ok I guess people are gonna milk it one more day", 3rd day 95% of streamers were still feeding into the drama. I than didn't watch any WoW contet for like 10 days, I open reddit to check something and the first post on my recommended is another LSF Pirate post with like 2k upvotes and 400 comments (btw I never visit LSF), people were literally fully watching every single VOD of the guy and clipping stuff, this particular clip was from a VOD from 3 months ago. The drama kept on spiraling afterwards, it was so unenjoyable to watch asides from a few events like the hide and seek one.
LSF is one of the main reasons the drama picked up so much in the guild, that place is a cesspool and should be wiped of the internet, I still remember what that sub did to Reckful and Etika. It's so eerie to see some of the streamers who openly spoke up against that sub when the whole Reckful and Etika incidents happen, nowadays try and farm as many clips as possible for LSF.
What's an example of the drama actually getting out of control from the streamers? There were only like 2-3 examples of ppl getting a little out of line with the Pirate drama, most streamers were actually quite fair--it's of course the 1% of bad apples out of the chatters.
@@roadrunne255 I don't even care that some streamers got out of line (even tho 2-3 is a crazy amount, I only saw one but I wasn't that invested in the whole thing), that also can be funny some times and usually those streamers recognize their mistake later on and apologize.
It's the fact that it was so dragged out, everyone was beating a dead horse for over 3 weeks and some people are still beating it, I bet you there's a top post popping up every other day on LSF still of someone digging up something from an old VOD (I don't go on that SUB but this is my assumption knowing how the sub used to operate years ago). After I watched this video I got a short recommend from Pirate (that's YT algorithm for you), out of curiosity I opened the short to read the comments, sorted by new and there were over 30 comments from the past 10hrs (there's much more ofc this is only for the past 10 hrs) talking about how he uses a voice changer and are basically flaming him, the short is over a year old btw.
In a year or two you're gonna maybe look back at this whole drama and realize how bat shit and pointless this whole thing was. Is this the first time people saw someone missplay in a video game and having an ego about it ?

Honestly the drama is what everyone was interested in. One can only watch clips of ppl dying to the same things over and over and over so many times before it gets old. It was really the world PVP and fun BG moments that made classic clip videos entertaining. Watching redundant pve clears is yawn

I never understood the boycott calls for Blizzard or any other company. I disliked their inner company decisions as much as the next person, but if I like a game I do not care what name is behind it, I will play it because I enjoy the game. People dislike Blizzard? then they should make better games and I'll gladly jump ship. All boycotting would do is at best get the company ruined, at worst nothing, and in all situations cause me to have to play a worse game.

Its just sad how youtube went from top tier machinima montages, every single creator being unique and special to a loop of reaction videos and drama farming. I personally blame the algorythm.
I mean the algorithm is only partly at fault, the audience ultimately drives the algorithm because if they don't watch the video (not counting bots), then no one will. Ppl watching "low-hanging" react content, is very similar to eating junk food in a lot of ways. There are still a lot of high quality videos out there, but it's a lot less risky and less effort to just produce low-hanging content.
We live in a world where people find any reason to hate almost everything and also cry when somebody doesn't like the things they like.

There is a huge difference between being online a lot and being 'terminally online' where you're entire existence is streamer drama and a real life reality show. Josh and Guzu both come off as genuine people enjoying what they do and don't fall into that category.
@@randdomize858 The majority of gamers/streamers have a life outside of gaming and twitch contrary to popular belief. Do they enjoy some gamer drama? Sure. Just like most non-gamers sit and watch Love Island every night. As far as I'm concerned "terminally online" is something which really only applies to twitter weirdos who spend every waking hour in their echo chamber both in their free time and work hours. Those are the people who have zero grasp on reality.
@EmpyreanDreamer It's not just streamers it's fans too. Even if they work all their free times is twitch and reddit/twitter. I think most streamers are self aware enough to know they are catering to these types of people they know what gets views. I dont even watch twitch or play games anymore but I will still watch a Guzu or Josh video every now and then because I enjoy it and I give them major credit for that.
I've interacted with people who only want to talk about gaming/twitch or the newest reddit circle jerk and to me that is terminally online it's their entire Identity.

@EmpyreanDreamer The difference is those people usually have at least some social skills to have a real life conversation. The problem with falling into the online trap is you start to resent real human connection and hate people. Terminally online people can end up with literally 0 social skills and hating real life.

*For anyone stuck in that situation please trust me things get better once you make the choice to not let gaming and being online consume you. It's tough to break out of but life is much better and more fulfilling once you make the choice to change. Don't let streamers and gaming/social media companies take your soul and trick you.
