About Metalocalypse: Dethklok
Metalocalypse is Adult Swim's blackest, most brutal comedy. Coming straight to your face from Brendon Small (Home Movies) and Tommy Blacha, it centers around the band Dethklok, a global metal sensation with enormous economic power and social influence. Dethklok includes Nathan Explosion on vocals, Skwisgaar Skwigelf on lead guitar, Toki Wartooth on rhythm guitar, William Murderface on bass, and Pickles the Drummer as...himself. Unfortunately, these guys are more interested in boozing, doing drugs, and causing mass destruction than in putting out new albums. Their careless attitudes cause band manager Charles Ofdensen almost constant strife as he tries to salvage Dethklok's public image and protect them from a mysterious organization known as The Tribunal. An absolute monster of a song. Brutal vocals, machine-gun double bass, and Skwisgaar's solo at 2:44 is a masterpiece. Burn The Earth is just as good today as it was back then.
Been a fan since the first pilot of home movies. Keep thinking I have “out grown” the Klok. But here I am with this song rent free in my head 10+ years later.
I love how everything dies and completelly gets destroyed but the penguin just reduce in number.

I'm a picky bastard and there aren't that many bands that i like each individual song of theirs. Dethklok is the only one and I find it funny that my most favorite band comes from a cartoon about a filthy rich band that can't do jack shit other than do good music and commit mass homocide on their concerts xD

It got canceled because Brendon Small was asking for a massive amount of money (somewhere in the millions) to do the Metalocalypse movie. When adult swim told him no, he left, no more Metalocalypse.
Since then, I hear there's a metalocalypse movie slated for 2023, so in the end we happy.

I remember hearing this back in high school, I graduated in 2009 right in the middle of the recession. Gas was over $4 a gallon + minimum wage was way less than $10 an hour.
Not much has changed, except everything is even more expensive, minimum wage still hasn't kept up & my hair goes down to the middle of my back so...... I guess it's a mixed bag, some wins & losses lol

The intro to every episode is basically designed to trigger a seizure.
It fits the hate the audience theme of dethklok.
It saves on animation time to make every second frame just white. It also eye rapes the audience which is pretty metal.
