    What an amazing tutorial! I love it. As you can see in my profile picture, I made one without the brim (will try that later) and because it, I received an amazing response to it. I am in the process of making a few more in solids, etc. Awesome. Thank you so much. I enjoy all of your tutorials.

    This tutorial taught me that I have been crocheting in the wrong part of the stitch for YEARS!!! I always go through the eye of the stitch and could never figure out why my pieces came out with uneven tension. Once I started going through the top of the stitch it started to look like your's. Thank you for posting this!

    Thanks for this tutorial. I commented on pt II as well. You are a great teacher and offered excellent tips. i learned a better way to change colors. I used the recommended I hook with red heart with love yarn. My tam was too small. I started over and used the recommended hook size for my yarn wish was a J hook and it came out perfect. I was also able to smoothly add the brim. thank you again

    • @HarrietLandess
      @HarrietLandess  10 лет назад +2

      ***** I'm glad you found it easy, for a medium reduce the number of rows by 4 and for a small reduce by 5. Small/Medium are really not very different because you want to leave room for growth.

    Hello Harriett, I simple adore this Rasta tam. I have a friend who has very long dreadlocks and has a hard time finding a tam to cover her locks. Do you have a written pattern that you would like to share so that I can follow along with your video? I would love to make a few of these for her, because Michigan winters are coming up.

    • @HarrietLandess
      @HarrietLandess  10 лет назад

      Tam Witcher I do not have a written pattern at hand, I did write one sometime, I'm not sure if I still have it. How long are your friend's dreads? The tam in this tutorial will hold locks up to 55 inches which is pretty long.

    • @tamwitcher8702
      @tamwitcher8702 10 лет назад +1

      I'm not certain of the length of her dreads, but from what she's told me they are at her behind. I've made 2 tams following your pattern so far & I think I need to use a larger hook. I've used an I & J hook.

      Should be the stitch after the chain 3.

      Yahyness W No, she starts in the next one. So you have the chain 3 then the next stitch you do one, then one, then two in the following stitches. Hope it helps! :)
