@@geneyoon11 hey I got a question. Is it better to get the Pentax 645 or mamiya 645? I’m thinking the Pentax to do some of its automatic features and stuff, but I’m also thinking about the mamiya because of more mechanical, less batter operated parts. There could be other things. Idk. Can you please tell me what you would prefer between the two (as least bias as you can lol)
I do I do I do 😊 I bought one in 2009 for less than $350 Mint, but when the resurgence occurred I chatted with the seller, he sold the same Mint for twice that I paid for. I still have it locked up, vacuum sealed in my Pelican. I have the autofocus 35mm FA, 45-85mm FA, and the manual 55mm A and 150mm A. It’s either being used for street or landscape photography. I mainly used Ektar 100 for day and Delta 3200 or CineStill for night (Long Exposure Only). The one thing I love about my camera, it’s the Multi-Exposure Mode. Double or Quadruple your exposure onto a single frame. I’m probably going to sell it in the near future, my friends of friends have asked to buy off the kit for $1000, I may consider it and get the Pentax 67 😜.
Great video, fun as usual - I enjoy your videos... Please keep up the good work! Would have liked to see a comparison of features with the 645N & 645Nii - also there's other options than ebay... Local shop. I went to a local shop to look at a 645N and it had minor damage which I used to negotiate the price heavily. :) Another advantage of the 645 Pentax system is the availability of lenses. Unlike other systems they have lenses readily available for affordable prices. If someone wanted more than just the 75mm 645 lenses from all of Pentax work as well as the 6x7 lenses with a simple adapter. Focus confirmation works with manual focus lenses too so if you're using the older A series lenses you'll still get a beep to confirm focus. There's leaf shutter lenses in the 6x7 system that work and another option to that pancake 75 you have is a Tilt shift 75 from the 6x7.
Yo! Oh snap man this is all wonderful information. I've never shot on the ii version but would love to. It's seriously a camera that so many people sleep on, but packs a punch for what you pay for.
so when film gets more expensive and not enough are made, lots of people stop photographing with film , they sell their cams , more cams on the market and they will go down in price....so, for me will come a good time, i photograph film since 35 y and the price of film i do not really care...😊
The only thing I don't like about this camera is the design, it's really ugly hahaha. And it's a shame because Pentax really had great designs over the years but somehow this camera came up weird. But, besides that, it looks like a great camera and it's even cheaper than a Bronica I was hoping to buy.
Anyone else own this camera?
I have this, the 645, the 645Nii, 645D, 645Z and the 6x7 with lenses ranging in focal length 28mm to 600.
@@PaulSafford what a stacked line up

@@EdwardGiggleTooth OMG, exactly in the same situation.....
I'm afraid if I go with Pentax I will be missing EVF and modularity...

A great camera ! I have enjoyed mine over the years.
I can't believe people don't talk about this camera more tbh
Really wanted this camera awhile back - thinking this video is just gonna make me want it again 🙃
Yup, haha...
Hahaha
Not having an interchangeable back may also be a plus, it only means NO dark slide, no chance for light leak. 👍🏼👍🏼. Cool vid.
These are very great points!
Good point, didnt think of that; keeps it simple.

What flash syncs with this?
Honestly nearly all flashes should work!
Maybe it's a bit on the heavy side but the ergonomic handling more than makes up for it
Totally agree

hahaha I'm with you on the design. Thankfully I use it for the images it produces and for that, it's great
