  • Story telling with Murali Venkatrao
India is a land where wonderous tales of heroes, villains, magical weapons, gods, demons and damsels are used as a means to convey deep scriptural truths. The greatest of these stories is that of an epic war between cousins. Known as the Mahabharata, it is war that as unnecessary as it is inevitable. The hero of this tale is Arjuna, the greatest warrior of his times; he is guided by God himself in the form of Krishna. On day 15 of this war, Arjuna and Krishna head into their greatest battle. In front of them is the enemy, arrayed in a mysterious battle formation known as the Padma - the Lotus formation. At the center of this impenetrable lotus is the enemy, who had killed Arjuna’s son. Arjuna has vowed to kill the enemy or die trying. What happens next? As the story unfolds outwardly with myth and magic, we begin to realize that it is a deep allegory for the path of a spiritual aspirant who rides into Battle of Life with God himself as the charioteer. The characters become more personal and familiar, and the heart is uplifted in the timeless human aspiration to know God.

He is world's greatest storyteller. I believe he is the only one who can actually force you to visualise whatever he recites. Listening to him is like watching movie. He is no 1 storyteller in the world. His language command is far better than the native speakers.

My 14 year old son, was reluctant and I asked him to listen to the story for 20 mnts and leave if he still did not like. We ended up listening to the whole story. Murali Ji is blessed with great charisma to narrate stories. I am so glad we came across this video. I’m going to look up for more such stories and watch it with my son.🙏

I am confused now. He said in the middle its all allegory. So these events did not happen in reality ?

    • @Luvwyb
      @Luvwyb 4 месяца назад

@@jeffmullan8206 it did happen in reality but he was just expressing that all the characters in this epic can be symbolised like even a warrior like arjun panicked at a moment so this is a symbol that anybody could panick anytime and at that time we have to go to the lotus feet of God
So he just said allegory because the history can be taken as a symbolic way too

Oo great Murli, you shoot me with arrows of enlightenment, and cause great upheaval. After listening i realised my 14th day. And thus started my 14th day, and i think this 14th day battle will last a very long time. The enemy is covert, sneaky, just when i think i've beaten it, it will ambush me. Oo great Murli, give me a celistial weapon too

Shri Murali is an astounding story teller! It's divine grace that he has this skill to hold our attention and immerse us in the story. I was in a trance throughout and felt like I was in the midst of the Kurukshetra. I assumed the role of Arjuna, Abhimanyu, Drona, Duryodhana, Jayadratha and the great warriors all at once. 🙏 Reminded me of my mother who used to read one chapter each day in my childhood, from the Mahabharata written by Shri Rajagopalachari. 🙏

exchange, tears rolled down and I bow before you in your respect.
Please continue telling us these mythological stories.

Amazing! I watched this entire video with so many mixed feelings and emotions... at some point my heartbeat was racing, then I was in tears at the part where Abhimanyu was killed inhumanely and I could just feel the sharp sting in my heart as I imagined Arjuna's reaction after getting the news of His dear son's death. Then, I realised that we are also fighting the same battle now, that is, besides the enormous material/worldly desires that we yearn for, the pandemic that's causing so much destruction in our lives is another great battle that we are facing - waiting right at the 'end of the padma chakra' - waiting to be killed and defeated! Let's do all that we can, with all that we have, to fight this battle and the divine force will take care of the rest. Om Namasivaya! 🙏🙏🙏

    If anyone Interested.
How 100 kids were of same age? Yes all 100 kids were born together.
Story: Mother's name was Gandhari. She felt sad that even after she got conceived first her sister in law Kunti (pandava mother) delivered but she waited. 2 years passed since she had conceived, she was healthy but she dint delivered. Out of spite she beat her stomach saying "Why don't you all come out?". Then she delivered a stillborn. Thankfully Doctors (Vaidyas) of the king's court had solution. They separated the stillborn and made 100 pieces and they had a technology and kept each pieces in Kumbhas and these pieces grew fully like a human baby. So they had like 2 mothers. Gandhari and pot. 😅. When they matured they were born. That's why she had 100 sons( 101 some days. 101 was a girl) at one time. It proves that at that time people could grow baby in lab. Like testtube baby or lab grown idk how to explain it. They were much advanced civilized.

While Bhima and others are reactive, Dharma Raju never allowed deadly responses during childhood.

    Sir! 🙏🙏🙏
I have read the story of the death of Jayadratha slightly differently.
When Arjuna gets mentally ready to enter the fire, Krishna plays a trick.
He hides the setting Sun with his Sudarsan and the sky becomes completely dark.
Everyone thinks that the Sun has set and the Kouravas are ready to celebrate the immenet death of Arjuna and the prospective end of the war.
The Sudarsan now moves away revealing the bright setting Sun.
Arjuna has enough time to sever the head of Jayadratha and send it flying onto the lap of his own father.
