the Mutant was the 1st ever experiment of Hammond and his partners trying to create a Dinosaur. It didn't go as planned. So they put that mutant on an island away from the park. glad to see it finally gets it's own spot in the film franchise.
I always loved the Jurassic franchise but this movie feels very different from the other stuff i'm used too. The dinosaurs look awesome and very unique from what we'd seen earlier, i'm excited. But i'm surely going to miss the old cast, Owen, Claire, Alan, etc.
The scene in 2:37 might be a flashback or prologue showing how the mutant dino was created and how things went wrong, that's why we can see what looks like a scientist seemingly being abandoned along with the mutant dino inside a sealed room. Also, the mutant dino looks smaller there than when it showed up at 2:18 indicating that it may have grown since then.
@@JJnuel1Adam possible but i hope its the D-rex as that is what indominus was supposed to be and at 1:33 you could hear a indominus sort of call so i think its D-rex, even more evidence of some other products that showed us that it was something like what we saw in the trailer
I hope this new island is one of the Five Deaths like Isla Muerta, Tacano, or Peña. If this were to be the first research facility where Ingen tried to clone dinosaurs, at least have it be somewhere that we heard of before in the franchise and not a new Island that comes out of nowhere.

Overall my thoughts about the trailer are the following... Pros: - It visually looks really good - I like the tone direction they are going for atleast based on this trailer. - The new characters seem to be more grounded than some from the last few films. - We are getting more lore about Jurassic Park. - The filmmakers are no longer afraid to use Spinosaurus in a film Cons: - The basic premise with the whole collecting DNA from the "3 biggest dinosaurs" (2 of which are not dinosaurs) to make a medical breakthrough sounds like a plot line from an episode from children's cartoon - I'm not yet 100% sold on some of the animal designs. I like that the Quetzalcoatlus is a more normal size and the color is good, but the head is weird. The Spinos have a weird fat neck and the head seems too crocodilian (not unlike the JW Baryonyx, which is one of the worst designs in these films) but the sails look good. The titanosaur is an odd choice to begin with, because that's not a species or even a genus, it a whole clade with multiple families in it, so we don't know what exactly it is and I'm certain they ain't gonna explain it. They could have picked one like Argentinosaurus, Dreadnoughtus, Patagotitan or something like that. Design-wise I don't mind the fins too much but I'm also not a big fan. - The mutant dinosaurs looks scary and adds to the horror vibe, but something like this can never work in this franchise in my opinion. It doesn't make sense and I think the constant need that the filmmakers feel to keep adding monstrous abominations as antagonists just undermines the impact of the real dinosaurs in these films (real being used as a relative term here, since they are all chimeras, but atleast the others are based on something from the fossil record)
@@Andrey.Ivanov Absolutely agree, you've hit the nail on the head. After seeing this i'm really questioning Gareth Edwards' understanding of the franchise as a whole. This dosen't look like Jurassic Park (except for the Quetz flying through the fog amongst the rocks, that was perfect).
Characters really seem great so far, obviously beautiful visuals that look very vibrant and remiscient of Spielbergs style, majority of the dino designs look great (wish they used a different Dilophosaurus design and the mutant dino looks ugly as fuck,) the story is a bit out there in some aspects but for the most part it feels very Chrichton-adjacent. Overall I'm sold I just wish the mutant wasn't there

So let me get this straight, the dinosaurs we see in this movie are actually made before 1993? So this was the original (Isla Sorna) that means ingen Succeeded in making accurate dinosaurs and actually created a mosasaurus?
@EmirMohan some says it was Hammond's first ever creation and it's called the d Rex(a tyrannosauriod with 6 limbs) which was the first ever to fail, given that it has a total of 6 limbs maybe the mosquito on the amber had caused it to have more limbs
If tou look when theres the guy with the flare in the top right corner you can see a dinosaur head and when there the guy with the radioactive suit you can see behind him a shadow of a dinosaur i think that might be the mutant dinosaur
Ive just rewatched the trailer for like the 56th time or whatever and its definitely the d-rex or at least the concept art we got. First of all the legs we can see that their chunky and as if they were more in the front. Then we see the face, sort of. we see its more round and flat, with small eyees in the front and smaller, more rigid teeth. And finally in the lab scene we see its little arms so yes it does indeed have 4 arms. its a human dinosaur hybrid, mutant horror thing andi cant wait.
I HAVE A THEORY: Nima, one of the characters from Jurassic Park: the telltale game was talking about living on the Island in the 4th episode. The trailer shows carvings on the walls of the cave when Johnathan Baily and Scarlett Johansson inspect the nest.
Im too oldschool for the new hybrid monsters, not gonna lie, im not very excited to see it. But atleast they showed it in the trailer and it looks like it could of been lot worse.
