      @@pensarebasketball NGL bro. The way Scottie’s number are holding up against Jokic, Kawhi, etc.
      Reminds me a one of my favourite quotes: “Everything is hard, until it is easy.”
      It’s all starting to look so easy for him!

      @GOATiology he's indeed breathing rarified air. Why does it feel like the media is just waiting for a 5 point stinker to throw water on everything. Sigh. These people. Josh compared him to Andrea Bargnani today.

    This channel is changing the narrative on Scottie. Too bad it took one game televised to 132 countries documenting Scotties dominance for mainstream media to finally notice. There's no escaping it, they're even discussing Pascal trades to get Scottie proper help. Your channel is making a difference in the Raptors media space. Thanks Rob for what you do.

      Thanks so much as always Jonathan. Really happy this community is so supportive of Scottie. You're almost all such smart people, so many of you are independent thinkers, critical thinkers, athletes. Love this community more than this community loves this channel, I promise lol.

    Scottie Barnes 2023 average: 22pts, 8rebs, 7assists, 1.5 steals, 2 blocks
    If the raptors are north of .500 half way into the season, it will be Scottie's first all-star appearance (of many to come).
    Great video Rob!

    Great stuff. Gave me chills. I've been a Barnes believer from Day 1. It was his composure on offense that impressed me, how he'd pause for a beat if there was an opportunity blooming, and make some smart passes that took real vision to execute. I thought, if this is him figuring out how to play in the NBA, look out. Now he's seeing his distance offense come together, which is only going to open more opportunities for passing as well as drives to the rim that I think he gets a lot of joy out of. So much to say about his defensive game too. Absolutely a thrill to watch. Your neighbour knows what's up.

    @iainbrewin 11 месяцев назад +1

    This is great stuff but lets be realistic and honest. We all know what he can be but lets let him grow and develop without these types of expectations right away. These numbers will most likely drop throughout the season. So lets not turn on him when they do. Enjoy the process. Love this guy! He is special and we are lucky to have him. The future is bright.

    • @pensarebasketball
      @pensarebasketball  11 месяцев назад

      They might drop. They may also rise. You have no idea how much the offense suppressed him last season. Also he's a strong start, weak middle strong finish player. That's been the pattern. I expect by seasons end he's north of 5bpm. That would be higher than any Pascal, DeMar or Fred season. If he holds 7+ or wow if he goes to 8-9-10 you're talking MVP talks.

    I’ve been vocal about Siakam not being a max or #1 since the title. I loved Scottie’s pick. I loved roty. I’ve been pissed off that last year after being roty they still kept him as a third or so option. I was angry we didn’t tank and possibly even gotten Wemby or scoot , pieces to build around Scottie. Teams that do it right.. get 2 pieces or rarely win or succeed with just 1.
    Happy for his play so far. I still feel like he’s definitely not there just yet. I feel like his shot isn’t as good as it needs to be and hope he can work on it and get there

    The numbers jump has been interesting that it coincided with a change in coaching. Our movement does seem a bit more fluid with quicker passing and hand offs and I don't know if that suits Scotties play and youthful energy more maybe?
    I'm sure it's a combination of many factors including the ones you've covered but I've noticed he doesn't seem the carefree smiling Scottie anymore cracking up the veterans I'm not saying he doesn't smile or have fun ever but he's definitely grown up a lot and just seems a lot more focused on every play
    It's a long season but might see what odds I can get on Scottie Barnes becoming an all star or winning most improved player already 😂
