Canelo fought more champs than any other fighter this era including some of them against the advice of Oscar. You know haters have run out of guys to call avoided when the best they can do is undisciplined bottomfeeder Benavidez who dumped his belt twice while publicly rejecting Plant unifications along with dismissing Smith, and rejected a 175 title shot even after being stripped. Meanwhile Benavidez got caught lying back and forth about an offer from Canelo with his promoter being too broke to deliver on Canelo paydays yet team Benavidez still said they'd refuse to cross the street to DAZN.
Benavidez's resume is so padded in 11 years in the division his top opponent is one of his leftovers while Canelo took the fights he ducked out on and overall has 20 wins over champs, including the only fighter in history to either claim Ring belts or unify at 154, 160 and 168, the only 4 belt 168 undisputed in history, and the only ex welterweight besides Thomas Hearns to be champ at 175.

The Benavidez fight isn’t going to happen because Benavidez is not going to go to Matchroom to fight Canelo and he’s going to try and demand a 50/50 split like he’s in a position to negotiate.
It’s why Wilder/Joshua fell through. It’s why Shakur/Devin fell through.
There’s a clear A-side and a clear B-side. David needs to be willing to do business and it’s clear that he and his handlers aren’t.
It goes to show you how bad some people really want it. Canelo accepted 5mil vs mayweather who made 41mil. With many people in his corner telling him to take his time, you are not ready for him.
So how bad does david and his team really want it? We will see.
His father already did an interview and clarified he was willing to accept all of Canelo offers and demands so there’s really no excuse, even Oscar is literally telling Canelo to do the same thing PBC asked.

Haymon didn’t intend to give Benavidez that fight when Canelo was under contract with PBC and Reynoso has even stated PBC never made Canelo an offer to fight David.
PBC isn’t even paying for the fight…how badly did they really want it if they didn’t include it in Canelo’s contract?
