The thing is it depends on compatibility .. if it was 19 year old and a 32 year old then it would be weird but they are both mature enough and compatible...A 19 year old and a 32 year old doesn't have much in common and their maturity level doesn't match...but a 36 year old and a 48 year old have a lot in common and they are both mature enough..so it isnt weird

@@spillbee i think there was already something going on between arjun and malaika when arjun was dating arpita. I vaguely remember an interview/page 3 news in which it was mentioned that arpita left arjun because he was fat and used to come to their house more for malaika then for her. She suspected something was going between them then.
Actually I am from an engineering background and most of my friends were guys and 60% of them wanted older girls coz according to them younger girls are like who will throw tantrums(from their past experiences), won't understand the emotions without speaking and will be more hard to handle. Either they will be less expressive and sacrifice or will be shy to enjoy or give a meaningful advice. So they prefer older girls. Its funny coz I know many guys prefering elder ladies even for their lack of motherly affections at home or having toxic parents they need someone to handle them better.
So it's all about emotions and mental bonding than age.

Nobody is normalizing her 'extramarital affair'. For all we know, they were already separated. The matter here is, now that the parties concerned have moved on and are not hating on each other, why is everyone else up in their business and telling them how to live their lives? Its obvious Arjun and Malaika are not together just for 'fun' or 'timepass'. They have risked getting ridiculed and shamed just to be together. Despite all that they are standing up for their decision, so they must really love and respect each other. But people always have to spread negativity.

I know a lot of people will attack me for saying this, but I have studied biology so here's my point.
Marriage was never about love, it was more about having a safe space where children can grow up in healthy two parent family and be put foremost, as they should be, once they exist.
Female reproductive age is way lesser than males. If a woman crosses thirty, pregnancies become complicated. Males can become fathers even when they're older.
So the idea of younger women marrying older men was not to oppress women. It had a scientifically proven biological reason behind it.
No hate to people breaking gender norms. Find love wherever you find it. Lucky you if you do.
I'm just saying that our ancestors weren't all stupid and not everything in society was made to oppress women.
