I love it! I try to spread those tingles to the folks I come across. So many beautiful and handsome people. Once there was a young Queen walking looking forward. As she passed me I curtsy and say "Queen". That little smile she gives to acknowledge me keeps me alive for a day. 😁💖 Weird thing though when it happens to me, it scares me a little. 😅 If their eyes are sincere, I blush. 😁😂🥰

I’m 40 years old and told an 18 yr old Mexican kid that he was so handsome. He said “Who, me?!?!?” I wondered if his mom or friends ever told him that after his response. He finished working on my car, pulled out his phone and said “So, can I have your number?” I said “No!! I was just complementing you! You’ll get a lot of girls, trust me.”

I grew up in a predominantly white community. Never really knew or had any black friends. I attended college out of my home state and loved the cultural diversity of the school. On my very first day of college I sat next to this beautiful black girl in one of my courses. Just after I sat down, she leaned over and told me that she thought I was very handsome. I was from Montana and she was from South Carolina and her Southern accent, directness, and genuineness had me floating in the clouds. She and I became very close during our 4 years at school. She was one of my closest friends. She was the most direct and honest person I'd ever known, so I came to believe most all black girls were like her. Since knowing her, I’ve always been a big fan of black women and love it when a black woman pays me some attention or a compliment. One of the many things I learned to appreciate while at college is the beauty and sex appeal of a black woman.

Black men have incredible compliment game too! I still remember during finals week my junior year of college, I had just gotten out of an exam, felt really bad about it. A guy jogged down the hall past me, obviously on his way to an exam. He turned around, still jogging but BACKWARDS, and just said, "Girl, you're so pretty. Everyone knows that about you." and then turned around and kept jogging. First of all, how was he so charming running with a backpack on? Second, I swear he blessed me because I ended up getting an A- on that exam. Third, it's been almost 10 years and just thinking about that makes me blush. And it makes me look back on years of insecurity and avoidance of male attention because as an asian woman, sometimes men are weird about that. But he seriously helped me get some confidence back. Because if it's finals week and a man wearing jeans and a backpack running to a final makes time to stop to say something nice to you, you have to accept that you're not as ugly as you think.

This is cute, but also bittersweet imo.
People looooooove the way black women make them feel or inspire them. They enjoy being nurtured and uplifted, but do they love to give it back? Do they love us?
My newsfeed is FULL of really weird subliminal messages about black women that I am intentional to reject, and I have to actively search out uplifting content to wash my brain.

Agreed but we also need to watch ourselves and black men because too often when other races compliment us or find us attractive it will be written off as “fetishizing.” This way other black people will condition us to keep our esteem low, feel suspicious about compliments and not want to date out. All of God's Creations should get some recognition from time to time, and a Good Vibe is a Great Thing.
