You removed the two BEV infill pieces and left them out. There are actually two infill pieces for the ICE model which you need to add. There are versions for with pdc and without pdc
You also need the correct bumper part. You could maybe route out the plastic from the non-pdc bumper with a dremel, but gettin the correct part works fine. There's also a bunch of wire and the sensors themselves that need to be disconnected as part of the process.
Cool! 3 questions. First what kind of plastic sheet was that that you added to the grille, and where can you buy it? Third, now that you know where the pedestrian warning box is have you found a way to edit the sound it produces? I was thinking it would be fun to make the Knight Industries Two Thousand pulsing sound... whew whew... whew whew!
Love this video, I'm going to do the exact same mod myself, including the black plexiglass. Is there a specific reason you made so many holes in the plexiglas on the top? I'm trying to create the shape with cardboard now so I can transfer that to the plexiglas.
Love the look! Gonna have my Cooper se in december and will definitely do the same. I already bought the black trimrings for the front and back. But the grill is also a must have! You convinced me😩😂
Hey Matt I’m not sure if you watch rich rebuilds which I did a couple of times I haven’t in a while but he just got a mini with a blown engine and he’s going to convert it to electricity and I just thought you might be interested in that,That’s it, have a great rest of your Sunday my man thanks for all the hard work and great videos
Can you let me know if you noticed any differences in efficiency? I would love to do the same modification but don’t want to affect the spectacular efficiency that I am getting with it. Let me know.
You can disable the pedestrian speaker with Bimmercode but only in drive. It still makes a noise in reverse and I swear that is a different speaker. It sounds like that speaker is in the rear.
@@TechForumTesla There must be two speakers then with Bimmercode disabling the front speaker only. I can definitely hear the speaker behind me when I put it in reverse.
@@dbajonr I'm not sure about that. I only taped up thr speaker in front and the sound going forward and backward is drastically reduced. I.E. only one speaker.
Looks great Matt, I've been looking at grill swap out options. Glad to see someone's had a go first! I'm wondering if you saw the same mounting points for driving lights, and possibly battery hook up on the SE. I put a set on my Gen 2 Cooper S and it really set it off. I was replicating the WC50 JCW. Cheers, Matt
You can opt out of the yellow caps when you buy it, unlike that ugly ass grill. Well, you can get the ugly ass grill without yellow in it, but it's still ugly.
This is what we really wanted when we bought the car.
Last touch: a little brushstroke of yellow on the red S.
@@ecokraus3819 or yellow vinyl wrap.....
Hi Tech Forum - Do you mind sharing what that grill cost and the part number? Looking to do the same to mine!
The new grill looks great! Much better than the factory BEV grill.
looks so much better!
Please will you follow-up this video as I’d love to know how you’ve got on with the modification and how has it affected range?
11:45 Where is the external temperature sensor's mount position? I haven't had any luck figuring this out.

That looks good! I wonder what how the economy changes with the slightly different aerodynamics
I too would love to know whether you’ve noticed any change
Cool!

looks amazing!!!! do you believe that any s type grill will work with the f56E???? thank you!!!

Wow, that looks much much better than the stock yellow grill. So, have you anything in store for the mirror caps?
We are considering it.
I also ordered tail light blackout rings and a gloss black cap to cover the chrome grille strip. Those haven't arrived yet.
Would love to see you try some more mods, like bimmercode tweaks, lowering springs, thicker rear sway bar, wheel spacers, and side scuttle light swap.
How bout the yellow side mirror?
OMG that looks so much nicer, luv it! just need to get an "E" for the front
The Mini looks Magnificent! Stunning was what I heard it got called! Thanks for sharing the video.
Looks perfect! I have one on order and want to do the same mod... where did you purchase the parts?

I just got done watching Rich's video where they removed the engine.
Do you know if it’s possible to swap that front bumper to the new model 2022 ?
How about a tower brace or fender mods too?
Do you know if the JCW body kit would fit on the mini electric?
Great work! Looks sooooooooo much better.
Hello ! Where exactly on the new grill have you drilled the holes for the zip ties to fix the block of plate ? Greetings from Germany !
Just needs a yellow s on the grill , great job

Yes. He lost 50%.

The sound is reduced with a few layers of gorilla tape. It is reduced in drive and reverse. So, it is the same speaker.

Wow that looks fantastic. Amazing job
I'm looking to do this...but not at that price.
Looks fantastic!!! Nice job!
That looks super! Welldone. And thx 4 the Video!
Do you want to sell your yellow parts?
Put it onto a petrol one and troll people ;)
Hi, Number parts?
Looks amazing!
Bit the yellow mirrors gotta go too lol
Nice mod looks really clean 👍🏾
nice job.....looks great!
Nice job!👍🏼
Looks great!
Mini should have done this from new, cost effective and looks so much BETTER. Just my opinion.
I'll install that too
13:45 The next mod for me would be to replace the yellow rear view mirrors with black covers, or just spray some black paint.

Great job! You should really think about moving to a home with a large shop for all your projects.
Problem is, our house is paid off (or will be next week). I have a hard time moving to a bigger place from a paid off house.
So much netter!
The original grill is ugly as hell! The repacment looks great.
