    I love the concept of the strandberg but the pinging that happens with the zero fret when you bend

    Killer. I gotta get my hands on an evertune guitar like that. Not going out of tune or auto tuning should be a must have.

    I used to own that exact model jackson DK2M...I regret ever letting go of it. The jackson virtuoso sure is sick though.

    I actually bought an ESP because of the first guitar in the video, I saw it in your various music videos and had to have one because yours is gorgeous. Also the bit at the end of the video is top tier.

    While I'm no shred-master, I've always loved Ibanez, but as you said in the video, playability can vary quite a bit from model to model. My S1XXV was only about £300, but it plays so much nicer than my JEM. Even if the JEM does look a billion times cooler 😂
    Also, hey Ricki

      Haha so weird isn't it. I think the setup is a lot to do with it, but it's worth guitarists discussing which ones are nicer to play because it's hard to tell from a picture on a website or just cz it's some beasting players signature model.

    Schecter Reaper models have thinner models than some of the Ibanez models with 18-20 mm necks.

    Look into the Edwards E-Maiden! They’re Japanese exclusive, but they’re around $1,500usd and they’re half scalloped. I got mine a couple years ago and it’s my go-to!

    There's a lot of cool stuff here, and it's interesting how surprised you were by the Strandberg. How much does the headless bit affect playing? Also I did watch your video about your course for beginners, I'd definitely be interested in a video about guitars that are the most beginner friendly or have better bang for buck.

    • @FraserEdwards
      @FraserEdwards  10 месяцев назад +1

      The headless aspect doesn't affect anything, that was a super nice guitar to play. Try one out in a guitar shop, but give it about 15 minutes to adjust haha. Yea bang for your buck beginner guitars is a good idea for a video, I'll look into that. There's also a guy called Guitar Max on RUclips who I think does videos like that and might be worth checking out.

      I hope I didn't come across as a know it all. Apologies ! 😊
      I only play headless guitars now, and they usually weigh less than 3.5 kilograms. They are amazing for anyone with back pain, and the Endurneck is excellent if you have trouble with your wrists or arms.
      The sound of a Strandberg is quite unique. They have part of the wood taken out for chambering which gives them a more resonant sound for clean and acoustic style playing.
      I've played both Strandberg and Ibanez Quest guitars. I love them very much. If you want a high quality headless guitar try the Ibanez quest. I would recommend trying the pickups because I am considering switching them out for higher output pickups like bareknuckle pickups or even a fishman for metal playing :)

    • @Nickshreds890
      @Nickshreds890 10 месяцев назад

      Anyway, I hope that helps :).!!
      I understand where you're coming from, Fraser, but headless guitars are perfect for me because I have chronic pain and had to give up on playing guitar for 6 months to a year before getting a headless guitar. I used to play ESP, LTD and Charvel guitars and I still like them but I can only play them for a short period .
      I think headless guitars have a lot more benefits other than being light. You don't need to worry about the neck warping with a Strandberg because it has carbon fibre inside it to keep it in place.

      I don't know really! Do you have a local instrument dealer, like a Moroccan Strandberg dealer? Looking for second hand ones on eBay or Reverb might be cheaper and have more options too! I've bought a few guitars second hand.

      Squier tele with fret level, crown, 6 brass saddled bridge,hot rails or tone zone pups does the trick, as funny as that might sound lol, it actually works well.. a fender HM strat, or a Heartfield talon v if you can find one is nice, a Warmoth soloist build is killer, ibanez, esp,Ltd, Schecter are probably the gold standard music man jp is nice.
