    I hope you got it graded, that’s a beautiful piece. Much nicer than my 1922 which graded MS63 with a little nick or 2 on the obverse.

    This is my all time 2nd favorite American gold coin. My first being the Buffalo. Especially the 2013 reverse proof.
    I had planned on owning one of these within a couple months, but have had to scrap the old game plan and rethink my stacking or even survival strategy, having been recently laid off because of the coronavirus.
    I fully expect to bounce back though. And when I again have some surplus cash, this coin is near the top of my list.

    Hi BYB, I have joined the sick club, you are lucky to still have your voice. Your coin has a nice reverse but the obverse has problems on Liberty's leg, so it's best not to get it graded. I have a 1924 and it's nice to have at least one specimen. As Kerris said, non 999 gold is taxed, so we avoid American gold eagles, but gold Buffaloes are good as are most others.

    • @BackyardBullion
      @BackyardBullion  6 лет назад

      +MétéoMan not the best club to be a part of! Hopefully on the mend now! Thanks for the feedback on the coin - I am leaning towards not having it graded at the moment, just not worth it to my eyes.

    • @YoloBagels
      @YoloBagels 6 лет назад

      It's actually the numismatic value that makes them so valuable. Unfortunately most american gold coins were melted down in 1933 so existing gold is worth much more than its actual spot price.

    Argentor in Belgium has them on offer for spot + 6,5% For me that is too much still. Centenario is spot plus 1,5%. Both are nice old coins indeed! Slabbing will not change the value I bet.

      @BackyardBullion  6 лет назад
