You need to use lithium batteries. It doesn’t appear you’re using those. You can also purchase a solar panel to attach to it for a
and then you won’t need batteries at all.

Well I tried the Max after I tried the Lithium. They lasted roughly the same amount of time. Interesting tip about the solar! Might try that!

You were using Energizer MAX batteries. The instructions say you need to specifically use Energizer LITHIUM batteries. That is all I use in all of my equipment, they are simply the best and last longer than any other battery I've tried. Second, consider setting the cameras back to the default settings. Motion Clip Length: 10s, Video Quality: Standard, End Clip Early if Motion Stops: YES, Night Vision: Auto, IR Intensity: Medium, Photo Capture: OFF, Auto-Update Thumbnail: I have mine turned on, but it does not seem to affect battery life and I really like that feature.
I have TWO blink cameras at my front door at two different angles. I've still got the original batteries in them both, and that was 18 months ago. I get an average of 4 to 8 recordings a day at my front door. If you have lots of activity at your location, you can't expect that kind of life from your batteries. Consider getting a wired camera, something like Wyze. Or set up the Motion Zones to filter out areas you don't want to record.

Well I went to the Max because the included batteries only lasted 10 days. But maybe I will give the lithium another go. My settings are actually pretty close to the ones you describe, but it gets triggered maybe 20 times or so a day.
I'll keep mucking around and see how I go. If things improve or I find the perfect balance I'll definitely do another video. Otherwise, as you say, I may need to look at at a wired or solar alternative.

Mine lasted over 2 years with plenty of use

What settings did you have it on. I'm so surprised.

@@motivatedtravel are you using lithium batteries? They are active about 8 hours per day and I use the motion zones to reduce unwanted triggers from passing cars on the road on some of my blink cameras. Sensitivity at 6 and re-trigger 15 seconds.

That's not good to hear - weather shouldn't be affecting it.

Blink cameras just suck in general. I can walk by it all day and it'll notify me twice

Mine as been working great, but it turns out if you want it working great you get no battery life, making it a poor choice for me personally.
