Hey everybody! Thanks for all the kind words and feedback! For your information, this track was made for Jamuary, so I had exactly one day to start and finish this! Some feedback is very valid, but keep this info in mind when saying it ;)
Thank you all for the support though!

@@3manonmusic435 I'm listening on 8" speakers and there is no sub / bass below 100 herz.
think of it as an experiment. 😎

Added to DnB playlist 😋
@@Ratzfourtyfour heck yeaaa thanks man!
Ahh yeee polyrythms are so IN
Btw do you have any tips for not making polyrythms sound like garbage? I've been getting there through experimentation/trial and error but I haven't found any rules or tricks to achieve it by design
@@denisladouceur8789 honestly it depends on the polyrhythm and if it works in context
Like for example when I make cinematic stuff I do percussion in 3:4
But when I make more experimental songs I can allow myself to go WILD with them (check out 2 videos prior)
Also the last drop of the video has a 6:9 polyrhythm lol
9/8 aint bad lol. It's a pretty normal feeling rhythm, considering how strange 5/4 feels
@@Torturantula oh I never said it is bad, just insane in the way of crazy and not normal
Some feedback:
The lack of drum break chopping hurts my feelings 😢😅
You could actualy delete the second building since it really removes the trance element od drum and bass and devudes the sections too much, instead you can put the second and last drop together but stil distinguishable with the tempo automation and the crash👍👍
What's funny is that i created the exact same type of tracks almost exactly a year ago 😂😂.
Keep up the good work📈📈📈
Getting strong KGWL vibes... ruclips.net/video/-01sgnVgkRc/видео.htmlsi=DPp484QrgTpPrBI4
@@ecwpdx ooooo I'm digging that vibe and I get it! Thanks for comparing me to that!
It's not really "insane", I'd say... I mean, you tacked a bit on the end of a 4/4 and it sounded cohesive, but traditional players do this and more as a matter of course. It sounds good though!
Okay thanks for the feedback!
Also I would say that the melody itself sounds more than just an extended 4/4, but for the drums I totally get you
Nice idea! Here's my version of the idea I borrowed from you :)

@@SlunkieB cool liquid atmosphere! I had a really tough time counting the 9/8 in it though because you kinda made the 9/8 span over halftime. I eventually did count it correctly. Sidenote by the way, setting your youtube video to made for kids is kinds weird because it doesn't allow me to react that way
@@3manonmusic435 Thanks! And thanks again - it wasn't supposed to be made for kids, that was left as an accident... Switched it!
It's not 9/8, its 9/4. Quarters are kick and snare, hat is playing eights.
But sounds awesome
@@recstazy ah right. The listening experience can definitely give the feeling like it's 9/4.
I did have the time signature set in 9/8 before I started working on it though! Also if you focus on the melody, like the beginning pluck, you can definitely hear the 9 over 8 because that is playing eights
I think you should reconsider equating 9 over 8 and 9/8. 9 over 8 means to evenly fit 9 notes in the space of 8. This is not the same as having the time signature set to 9/8. And the other commenter can stuff it, because there's no reason to say 9/8 is wrong even though I do agree that a 9/4 pulse is more easily felt (only once drums are added). No polyrhythms detected here either.
@@3manonmusic435
Not a polyrhythm tho..
@@Nicdehouwer I'm fully aware, but because of how youtube's algorithm works I had to put it in the title for it to get as many views as it did...
Also in the last drop there definitely is a 6:9 (lol) polyrhythm going on! Take a listen again!
@@Nicdehouwer it kinda feels clickbaity though I know, I apologize
@@3manonmusic435 that, and it also makes you come across as less familiar with the term than you actually are. I'd get rid of the tag altogether.
