WOW! I just graduated ultrasound school. I wish I had seen these videos before while attending the college. I can only pray to have an opportunity to work with an educator like you. Thank you for making it make sense!!!
In my personal experience, it is much more satisfying to loudly complain that the US machine is old and useless than actually bothering to learn how to use it. Jokes aside, great video. Thank You very much!

This guy is living in a dream world. If I can't do a block in less than a minute, the surgeon will get pissed and won't ask for any blocks in the future. Few people can spend this much time just messing with the ultrasound.
You don’t have 15-30 seconds? Then, don’t do the block in the future, but offer pt before case to place it postop. Let the surgeon be the obstacle to their pt’s pain relief. You are cutting corners for the surgeon’s benefit, no jury will sympathize with you for doing a block and getting a complication, without optimizing view. Know what line you’re not willing to cross!
Well, generally a good video, but could be better. I think you should adjust the focal point first and see what you get from that. Only then should you go for the other adjustments. Doing all the other adjustments first is a bit like setting the volume, brightness, bass level on your stereo, and only after that choosing if you play jazz, rock, a cappella choir, or opera. Also, I think the gain for the shallow parts here is very low. Do you even see the needle tip on the way to the target?

Would narrowing the beam, make a difference? Is that something to do?
Narrowing the beam is for phased array probes. Can't be done on a linear probe.
Wow

you are not working for the surgeon but for your patient
@@davidscb3632 in the US, if you don't do what the surgeon wants they will find someone else who will and you will be out of a job.
@@maxdiputs2863 not the surgeon employees you right ?
@@maxdiputs2863 in Germany there is a shortage of anaesthesiologist, so I can basically do what ever I want 😋😍
