    This totally worked on a Sony Bravia kdl-55hx800. Thanks so much! The screen was blinking with "No signal" but the screen otherwise looked fine, and LED indicator light was either solid green when on, or solid red while in standby. The video shows holding the "input" button down but I followed the instructions exactly, and held down the "power" button (on the side of the TV) down for 30 seconds while the TV was completely powered down and HDMI cables unplugged. I turned the TV back on and plugged an HDMI cable in and it works again. Thanks again.

    Hi, I have a Vizio p65-c1 that began having hdmi port issues a month ago (possible power surge). The TV worked ok with 2 hdni ports working since then. During this time it took longer than usual to get a signal to display. Two days ago the power no longer turned on the TV. After researching this I decided to bake the main board @ 320 degrees for 10 minutes and returned the board to the chassis. Power came back on again but now I get backlights but no picture and no sound..Where the splash screen "V" should be displayed, I see a white blur almost like fog on the screen. Checked cables. began troubleshooting TCon board by disconnecting cables to the panel. Saw half screen but still fuggy. Help please?

    I have a specific issue with my sony setup. I have a xh9096 tv and a ht-xf9000 soundbar. They’re both brand new and just updated to the latest firmware. Both are equipped for eARC and and are connected through arc ports via HDMI cable. The problem I’m having is there is no screen on my digital terrestrial signal when the hdmi is in, but when i unplug it, the tv works just fine. Although, when I switch to Netflix or RUclips the soundbar works perfectly and the picture is on.
    So, no picture and audio when trying to watch tv from a digital signal, but when watching netflix and youtube, everything’s fine.
    I would really appreciate if You could help me out.

    I have a problem. HDMI 2 doesn't work for regular TV, but HDMI 1 for DVD works. And HDMI
    3 works. Does that mean the cable box is bad? Thanks

    I hoped the video would show me where are the inputs. My hdmi is not fitting and since it’s not labeled I needed a show me, not write me.....I can get written instructions on the Internet. I go to videos for actual demonstrations. This was not helpful for me but seems helpful for others...

    My issues seems to be internal. I have 4 HDMI ports, HDMI 1-3 works fine, HDMI 4(ARC) doesn't work; I connect it with my PS5 and it shows on the TV PS5 deetcted but there's no audio or video on the TV. I also connected it with my laptop and the laptop detects that it's connected to an external screen and detects my TV brand and model no but no audio or video on the TV.

    Every time I turn on tv it initially open with video 2 but how can I make it start with HDMI as soon as turn on tv...I always have to press home and then inputs and then HDMI ....isn't there shortcut or I can set it to open directly with HDMI plzz help

    I don't believe it, I have a KDL19s5700 and its 11 years old. It stopped working with HDMI ports 1 and 2. I perform this reset and its back working again! Thanks :)

      Did you unplug the cord then hold the power button on the TV while still unplugged??

    What is this idiocy? Why does the text say "hold down power button" while the video clearly shows a finger holding down the "input" button? What is the point of holding _any_ buttons, when the TV is completely disconnected from power?

      Hold down power button due to discharge current from tv quickly.
      Not for turn on tv.

    I have sony bravia KDL-40EX520. I have tried all your options. Upgraded to latest software too. Factory reset also done. But my problem not solved. Still not displaying anycast dongle device hdmi signal.
    And that Anycase dongle is working in other TVs
    ..please help me to fix

    I have a sony bravia (non smart tv) model and i bought an anycast (like a chromecast) which i tried to connect on the hdmi port at the back of the tv and it says "unsupported signal" i all ur suggestion and it still wont work but the anycast dongle is perfectly working i even managed to connect my anroid device to it but the tv just cant display anything.
