I was laughing when you were setting up your Hutch. My symmetry issues were kicking in, and I kept saying, "Center it on the wall Bill. Center it! 😂 Seriously though, you were brave to lug furniture and paint in Florida's summer weather! Meanwhile, I had a wonderful visit with Elizabeth here in Maine. ♡
Can you switch and put the China cabinet on the wall with the picture, and put the picture where the china cabinet was? Nice end tables for the living room!
I love how the Florida house is slowly coming together using furniture that isn't new. It makes it more quaint and welcoming. My next home I want to furnish it with mostly used furniture. I like the older sturdy durable furniture that was built to last.
I was going to say exactly this. Furniture back then was all solid wood, no cheap particle board. It will last for years and years more if properly taken care of, they built to last back then.
My entire home is furnished with family heirlooms (handed down) and other people's family heirlooms that I buy in antique stores and "junk" shops. All the pieces are beautiful, well made and much loved. I cannot understand the obsession with online shopping and purchasing poorly made items.
The slush color is a perfect match for the existing color and it came out really nice. The china cabinet is very elegant and fits perfectly in your Florida dining room. The house in VA will look better too with less clutter and after you move the washer/dryer into the new room extension. Great progress as always! Bet you miss Elizabeth!!
Hey Bill I am also 66 and a Florida native. I grew up without air conditioning and I was 16 before I was ever in a room with it. It was so mind blowing to me and my first home I bought had central A/C and I have never lived with out it ever since. I bought my first home in 1975 just one year after graduating high school. We also grew up in Florida with just one small gas heater in the house. The winters were cold and the summers was hot. So about 18 years ago I bought my second home in upstate SC. and so I do what you do and have been doing it for 18 years. I will be heading south at the end of October. Many blessings to you and Elizabeth.
It's such a blessing for you to have this place. You and Elizabeth are making it so comfortable and homey! My husband, Trev, and I still enjoy escaping the Canadian winters in our travel trailer and touring around Arizona, Texas and New Mexico, but I can see us one day getting to the point of purchasing a 2nd 'home' down south. Probably a piece of property we can set our trailer up on for the winters and make a 'home base'. I'm enjoying seeing how this 2nd home develops for you guys!
Bill...I was born in Florida & have lived here for 72 years. When I was around 10 my Aunt Helen came to visit us in the summer from California. Her ankles swelled up from the heat. She said she would NEVER visit in the summer again. 🤣That was when I discovered people who don't live in Florida cannot take the hot weather.
Hi Bill, from the Florida panhandle. How we live here in the summer time is: We don't go out, unless it's absolutely necessary, we live inside😊. People who come for vacation do exactly that; they vacation. But they would find living here on a permanent basis, year-round, a different experience. If the temperature doesn't get you the humidity will. And I don't like being wet in my clothes.!😅😊 Thank the Lord for whoever invented air conditioning. ❤ You and Elizabeth are great blessing to your RUclips Community. I've learned so much watching you work on the houses. And enjoy watching Elizabeth create her Thrive Life recipes her wisdom from the word of God. Thank you both for sharing your life with us. God bless you and keep you.❤🎉😊
I love that little house it's a hidden gem. What a nice little getaway reminds me of my grandmother's house it's such a warm welcome when you pull into the drive. 🙂 God bless 🙌
LOL, yes, our Summer heat and humidity are not for snowbirds! I don't think I live very far from where you are - Definitely more west of you - and this time of year I try to do as little as possible outside. That's a challenge, because I do my own yard work, raise chickens, and have a 3500 sq ft vegetable garden. In the next few weeks I'm going to have to spend my mornings preparing the garden for Fall planting, mainly brassicas, English peas, and over-Wintering onions and carrots. Gardening is so different than it was where I grew up in Virginia, but it does allow me to grow enough to largely supplement my food budget and stretches my Social Security! God has certainly blessed me!
Not surprised your subscriber ship has increased. Your both so down to earth. It’s very special having a family heirloom to use and enjoy. Your grandmothers is beautiful. I have my maternal grandmother’s buffet. Its at least 100 years old now.
The house is really coming along pretty! Especially with the furniture and the outside painting!👍👍👏😍 Elizabeth is going to be delighted when she goes back to Florida!🥰
Bill, you are amazing a wonderful father and a wonderful husband. I watched your sons video. empty hammock and he brought tears to my eyes. He is an amazing man. Blessings and love to both of your families❤
Well done Bill. Wisely timed and good save on the external walls needing that quick lick of paint. Thanking God for His travelling mercies for you both. Much love my friends until we meet again at the next video, blessings from Australia 🇦🇺🤗🙏💞🙏👍👏👊🇺🇲 ps, nice choices you 2 on all the added furniture also 👍👍God has def been good in supplying your needs 😍🙂😃
Great job transporting the furniture and then getting things put in their proper places. And still time to get the outside painting done, all in just a couple of days! Elizabeth will be so appreciative! Do you think she might rent you out to do a few projects?? 😃.
That looks great, but, please center the hutch, it’s offset to much, but Elizabeth may have told you to sit it that way so if mommas happy, the world is happy👍🏻🥰
I just set it there. Elizabeth will make the final placement. But if I had pushed it further to the right, it would have been back in the corner behind the shelves, and the drawers wouldn't open.
Can't believe how well those night stands fit in your room - just perfect. So nice to have treasured heirlooms in both houses which makes both feel like 'home'. Was so good of you to make that trip Bill and I know Elizabeth is so appreciative of all you do. So nice for her to visit her sister in Maine...that's really lovely....I enjoyed the videos Elizabeth did with her sister a while back where they were crafting and sewing together. I pray you both a good rest after your journeys. God bless from Canada's west coast! 🌻
I just set it there. Elizabeth will make the final placement. But if I had pushed it further to the right, it would have been back in the corner behind the shelves, and the drawers wouldn't open.
I'd have to watch the video again to see what folding chair you are talking about. But NOTHING is permanent yet. I just set stuff in the house, and Elizabeth will move things around and make the final placement.
As a Floridian who moved in 2016 From California (a much less humid state than even Virginia) I can tell you that you get quite used to the heat. Unless you are doing manual labor you just go about your day. Everything is air conditioned. The cold is what I hate. You have the best of both worlds.
You need to center the bed in front of the window and put your desk against wall facing out.that way you chair can go under desk leaving more floor space!??
Hello Bill Looks great ! Your grandmothers China cabinet is lovely ❤ Keep us in your prayers we’ve decided to put our home here in Tampa on the market in January we’ve decided to make our new home at Hilton Head SC .. We love the Carolinas and I’m super excited for this new chapter in our lives 🤗 The Lord is good ❤🙏 Take care Brenda
Your FL home is really coming together… looks great! We purchased a lot along the forgotten coast, hoping to build a very small cottage for a winter home some day. East TN winters are getting a bit too cold the older we get. God bless!
The Forgotten Coast (Franklin County, FL) is a large rural county, sparsely populated and tucked behind the pines of the Apalachicola National Forest along the Gulf of Mexico in the panhandle of Florida.
I love your Florida home, your grandmother’s China cabinet is absolutely gorgeous and your floors are fabulous! Please give our best to Elizabeth and look forward to seeing her in the next video 😊
Last summer, it rained everyday, so we had overcast skies and a break from the sun (but not the humidity). This year, the rain keeps passing us by. The sun is brutal. I think I can stand the humidity more than continuous bright sun. But it does cool down quicker and stay cool longer in NW Florida than in central, so that’s something to look forward to. Nice job burrito wrapping the furniture. The fresh paint looks great, too.
I didn't place it. I just set it in the house. It will be up to Elizabeth to place it. Also, if I pushed it any further to the right it would be back into the corner behind the shelves and the drawers wouldn't open.
I really like your night stands, end table. All the all the furniture you took down. I just noticed your hand through from the kitchen. I really like your Florida home. God bless you in all you do.
I’ve watched your channel since the little trailer! The thing I see is you both work very hard to keep your life still within your means. I also believe others are benefiting from things you share! Because of pops you made a life change, because of health issues you made another life change, and had the sense to figure it all out! Elizabeth does much better in winter in Florida, she breathes better and absolutely glows. I love seeing her that way! I worry about you Bill and your knee. It obvious it gives you some pain. So take care brother! Love you guys!
I was laughing because there you are bringing the furniture to your house in Florida and end up painting the house, my husband would have looked at it and said yeah I have to paint that and probably would have done it 2 years later. Your so ambitious. Everything looks really nice. You and Elizabeth have done a great job making it a home.
Good to hear from you all again. Smart move w/the furniture. Please stay hydrated. I am 59, live in Pensacola, & yes the has drained me as well. Hugs to Elizabeth. God bless.
Everything looks great. I love the pieces you brought down. They look perfect. When you get down for winter, Elizabeth will have fun puttering around and getting her little items in the hutch and so on. Looks great. You are such an industrious fellow and Liz is blessed in you and you in her to be sure. God bless. Have a safe trip.
We would entertain ourselves cuz we have nothing they didn't play the radio when we were driving we had to seek songs are you know I spy things like that that was pretty deep yet you should drive hundred I thought that was great thank you so very much for that video happy😊
Might I suggest you push the desk to where the bed is? Then the bed in the dark corner the same way it is with the lamp bringing much needed light to that corner? Just a thought.
Looks great! Editing was good to and kept interest - You tube allows glimps into peoples lives one would very much like but never going to know. I enjoy that! Also it i nice to appreciate the nod to the continuity of generations. Missing in our culture today. Also your videos make me aware that I can like and share while viewing with really good people that perhaps share some differences in world view but where what really matters is shared. Also something that is missing in our divise culture right now. Thank you.
Glad to hear the other painting project is Later! Thanks for all the videos! I know Elizabeth is very grateful for your extra efforts to get the furniture down to Florida! Hope someday soon you can upgrade your car to pull your other things back and forth.🏍️🚲🚲
The end table by your desk could even be turned so that the length is against the wall giving you more walk way and the door would face your chair for desk storage?
Well done on all of your projects. Elizabeth will be so happy when she sees all you have done. I like the color of the paint you chose, too. I was noticing the splash up of dirt on your exterior walls and had a thought... If a small level of dirt in that area was removed and you put down landscape fabric down in that corner and covered it with a non-wood mulch or that pretty white rock, would that prevent the splash up of dirt on your pretty newly painted walls? Just a thought. You two are wonderful and I so enjoy your channel.
Sweety they do make foam mattresses or sponge ever since I discovered those mattresses I will never go back to an old bed they sell them at Walmart they r so comfortable
Good Job Bill. It's really looking good. Take your time, and enjoy time too. The old furniture is really nice and it's from family and you didn't have to buy new. I like going to thrift stores, good will, etc. Drive carefully and thanks for sharing !!
The Florida house is looking terrific! Your grandmother's hutch is beautiful. Difference between men and women: Men bring all the furniture in and set it up and are pleased. Women appreciate what the man has done but knows the pieces all need to be wiped down/cleaned again and glass cleaned. Probably styled too if there are things to use. You went above and beyond painting the new siding. Looks great!
it was 105 temp here yesterday in Tulsa Ok looking forward to 95 Sunday. But its hot here in Summer and Very cold in winter but its ok I love Elizabeths taste in decorating I will be 75 next Thursday bought me a Pioneer woman small crock pot 1.5 quart she does have beautiful kitchen products. I am great grandmother of two life is good. Be blessed.
I beg to differ that they don't make quality full size beds anymore...I just bought my granddaughter a full size bed...and the quality is impeccable...it all depends on where ur shopping...and that's with anything
Hi there Bill always have been interested in what you are doing between both houses. It's all looking so well done. You will appreciate having a little more space in both homes. You can feel very satisfied I'm sure. Just remember to enjoy being in them, it will all come together eventually.
You've done a great job fixing up your Florida home. The added furniture makes it all look more complete. Really like that china cabinet. Have you thought of adding a ceiling fan in the dining room? Seems like a Florida thing.
They are a Louisiana thing too-they are in every room of my house except the dining room. This is the honest truth-I bought my house 22 years ago-the fans were here-I only changed the glass globes on them. They have been on since the day we moved in, and they have never been turned off. In winter they turn in one direction to push the warm air back down and help circulate it. In summer, I flip the switch on them to keep the cool air circulating. We can't live without them because of the high temps and high humidity.
I was laughing when you were setting up your Hutch. My symmetry issues were kicking in, and I kept saying, "Center it on the wall Bill. Center it! 😂
Seriously though, you were brave to lug furniture and paint in Florida's summer weather! Meanwhile, I had a wonderful visit with Elizabeth here in Maine. ♡
Me too😂
I also was saying push it over just a little more to the right!!
I loved seeing you, too, Teresa! (Thank you for hands on my shoulders right when I needed it.) 🥹❤️
Can you switch and put the China cabinet on the wall with the picture, and put the picture where the china cabinet was? Nice end tables for the living room!
Me too! If something is a little off center or a little crooked it drives me nuts! 😄😄
I love how the Florida house is slowly coming together using furniture that isn't new. It makes it more quaint and welcoming. My next home I want to furnish it with mostly used furniture. I like the older sturdy durable furniture that was built to last.
The older the furniture The better built.
And older furniture can be refinished or painted because it's real wood!
,
You're a good husband! You always think of Elizabeth first! She'll love it! Be safe!
The house in Florida just keeps looking better and better. Great job!🙂
A lot of the older furniture were beautifully made and lasted a very long time. ❤GREECE.
I was going to say exactly this. Furniture back then was all solid wood, no cheap particle board. It will last for years and years more if properly taken care of, they built to last back then.
Made locally, not China.

You need to center the China cabinet on that wall, it's to close to the edge of the window. 😊
I just set it there. Elizabeth will make the final placement. But if I had pushed it further to the right, it would have been back in the corner behind the shelves, and the drawers wouldn't open.
Place it next to the front door on the empty wall?
Bill, nicely done! Thanks for sharing. 🌴😎🌴
Really beautiful in the dining room - but ya gotta hide that folding chair lol.
I'd have to watch the video again to see what folding chair you are talking about. But NOTHING is permanent yet. I just set stuff in the house, and Elizabeth will move things around and make the final placement.
And put the food Staples in the kitchen not in the beautiful dining room

Hi Frances
Thank you so much 🌸
I have my grandmother's china cabinet as well-- I love it! place looks great!
Great job moving and painting everything! Enjoy it.
That Florida home is just perfect for you and Elizabeth. It is coming together beautifully !
the thought of an extended roof drain would be super helps with NO water near building.letting it flow out on the lawn. we found very important...😊

I tried many configuration ps. This one was the best.

Loved that your twin came to help you paint... lolol

The rich mahogany floors in Florida look great with your Grandmother's China cabinet 🤩
I’m amazed at how much furniture you got in that small trailer!
My virtual vacay with Bill & Elizabeth
Bill.. have a safe trip home.. tell Ms. Elizabeth she is in my prayers.
We are used to the summer heat! But, wow, we really got high heat this past July!
Perfect fit for the night stands and end tables Elizabeth really knows how to shop the deals. Your winter home is looking great.
It's only been 8 months since I injured my knee. These things take time, and it's slowly improving.
I was laughing because there you are bringing the furniture to your house in Florida and end up painting the house, my husband would have looked at it and said yeah I have to paint that and probably would have done it 2 years later. Your so ambitious. Everything looks really nice. You and Elizabeth have done a great job making it a home.
It is very early in the morning!
Night owl or Up early downloading first thing?? Semi insomnia (not severe) for me!
I don't upload so early in the morning. I upload in advance - sometimes days in advance - and then schedule the video to release automatically at 5AM.
You tube videos are usually 2-3 weeks old before we see them.
The paint did a lot to the house. You do good work.
Good to hear from you all again. Smart move w/the furniture. Please stay hydrated. I am 59, live in Pensacola, & yes the has drained me as well. Hugs to Elizabeth. God bless.
Everything looks great. I love the pieces you brought down. They look perfect. It must been forever sense I seen these videos the house has grown
The house has grown? This is our winter home in Florida, and we only just bought it last December.
I miss Elizabeth in this video, hope her visit with sister all well.
My husband and I thought the same about the summers, after awhile you do get used to the humidity...
No... you don't. Sorry.
Maybe angle your desk to allow for both night stands? Nice finds!
THE HOUSE IS REALLY COMING ALONE GREAT. LIKE THE COLOR WITH THE GRAY AND WHITE. NICE FLA COTTAGE HOUSE. YOU SCORED BIG TIME.
I would try turning the night stand by your desk long side against wall. Would give you more room to walk to your desk.
They sure don’t make furniture like they used to, that’s for sure. That cabinet will last for another 100 years! 😊
The heat is unbearable in FL! I can't wait until we get to some cooler temps!
Really nice china cabinet. Paint looks nice too.
Your work ethic is amazing!!! Thanx for sharing.
Its so hot and humid here but we survive.
Very cool. You both were at opposite ends of the country. She will be so thankful you were able to get the furniture moved and the siding painted.
Paint job looks great👍. So do the furniture additions! Safe travels back home 😊👍
Such a cute place. Jist took a road trip to west virginia from california..so beautiful.we stayed at a historical home..
Painting outside in Florida summers heat? Wow! I do all my painting here in fall spring or winter, hydrate well
It was early morning. It wasn’t hot yet.
Love the Florida home! Thanks for bringing us along!
Glad to hear the other painting project is Later! Thanks for all the videos!
I know Elizabeth is very grateful for your extra efforts to get the furniture down to Florida!
Hope someday soon you can upgrade your car to pull your other things back and forth.🏍️🚲🚲
Paying off the house was the first financial priority. Now that that's done, we can start to think about vehicles.
I hope your knee is healing well.
your home is coming together beau
The end table by your desk could even be turned so that the length is against the wall giving you more walk way and the door would face your chair for desk storage?
Well done on all of your projects. Elizabeth will be so happy when she sees all you have done. I like the color of the paint you chose, too. I was noticing the splash up of dirt on your exterior walls and had a thought... If a small level of dirt in that area was removed and you put down landscape fabric down in that corner and covered it with a non-wood mulch or that pretty white rock, would that prevent the splash up of dirt on your pretty newly painted walls? Sweety they do make foam mattresses or sponge ever since I discovered those mattresses I will never go back to an old bed they sell them at Walmart they r so comfortable
Good Job Bill. It's really looking good. Take your time, and enjoy time too. The old furniture is really nice and it's from family and you didn't have to buy new. I like going to thrift stores, good will, etc. Drive carefully and thanks for sharing !!
Elizabeth is alot like me , and if your not in a hurry you will find perfect stuff. So nice!!
Looking good!
Great job! Random question...please ask your bride where she got your bedspread pls. Love it!
We actually found it at Wal-mart. 😊
@@LiveSimpleLiveFree thank you 😊
The Florida house is looking terrific!
I dusted everything after they were in place. I just didn’t show it on video
it was 105 temp here yesterday in Tulsa Ok looking forward to 95 Sunday. But its hot here in Summer and Very cold in winter but its ok I love Elizabeths taste in decorating I will be 75 next Thursday bought me a Pioneer woman small crock pot 1.5 quart she does have beautiful kitchen products. I am great grandmother of two life is good. Be blessed.
Makes such difference when you put new paint on it. Makes it nice again. 👍
Looks great. Maybe consider laying some mulch down on the ground where you just painted to minimize rain splashing on walls. It might help a bit.
I beg to differ that they don't make quality full size beds anymore...I just bought my granddaughter a full size bed...and the quality is impeccable...it all depends on where ur shopping...and that's with anything
The furniture stores that we shopped at had VERY FEW full size beds. And they were large stores.
I ordered ours on line and everyone that visits wants to take it with them lol , agree there are alot of good double beds on line ..

Hi there Bill always have been interested in what you are doing between both houses. It's all looking so well done. You will appreciate having a little more space in both homes. You can feel very satisfied I'm sure. Just remember to enjoy being in them, it will all come together eventually.
Love that front porch!
So do we!
Thanks for sharing the progress. Home Sweet Home x 2
It's always a pleasure watching you work Bill (when I'm not!) lol
You've done a great job fixing up your Florida home. The added furniture makes it all look more complete. Really like that china cabinet. Have you thought of adding a ceiling fan in the dining room? Seems like a Florida thing.
That's a great idea which will also help to circulate the cool air when the a/c is turned on.
There is a ceiling fan in the living room (that's at the other end of the same room), but I have no plans to add another one.
