great cover! i was listening closely to the original and i think that the part that starts around 9 seconds is a slide on the first little 11-12-11 lick but actually a half step bend on the second one. i haven't seen any youtube covers yet that play it like this though.
I am use GE200 (Mutli effect) for this recording. The setting is based on 1 clean amp + 1 overdrive. Bending is a hard technique for beginner. You can just play note by note instead of bending
maybe you didn't setup your guitar after you bought it? You may need to your action (the distance between fretboard and the strings) lower, it helps you to press the fret more easier. Also, when you press the fret, your finger should press really close to the fret to minimize the effort you put.

The first thing you can do is to practice the "sliding" technique. In 0:09, it is a slide and slide back but in a very fast speed. You need to practice the movement slowly and then try to speed it up.

it is a preset called Blues Player (P018) but I lower the treble and the gain.
