  • Professor Lizbeth de la Cruz Santana discusses her project, El Paso del Norte, a mural inspired by the stories of undocumented individuals, created with the help of her students at Baruch College's Department of Black and Latino Studies. Chef Jorge Cárdenas of Ix Restaurant in Brooklyn prepares gourmet dishes inspired by Guatemalan Maya cuisine, featured in the New York Times' Best 100 Recipes and Hungry Town column. Multidisciplinary artist Alberto Ferreras, known for works such as "B as in Beauty" and the "Somos" installation at the Museum of the American Latino, spent over two years researching and selecting photographs at the Library of Congress for the immersive video installation "American Latinos 1935-1945."
