The really insane thing about Dimash is that every song you year from him will amaze you. You think you've heard everything, and then he does something amazing.
Dimash is THE greatest vocalist of ALL time! The music was composed by famous billionaire Russian composer/music mogul (on piano) Igor Krutoy. Igor came out of retirement in 2018 to work with and compose for Dimash when he first heard him sing in 2018. This is Krutoy’s annual competition for singers New Wave in Russia. Dimash was a guest here in 2021 and he was also one of the judges. This was the premier performance of this song. However Dimash has sung it very differently since then, every performance is incredibly amazing! Dimash is also a great composer. He has just released his latest composition masterpiece The Story of One Sky, a music video 13 mins and 40 secs long (it cost Dimash over 7,000,000 USD, the most expensive MV ever created) Dimash also acted in the MV and he wrote the screen play. It is truly a work of art, (although it’s extremely harrowing)…. Dimash is also a multi-instrumentalist (7 instruments), he plays really well! He’s 28 years old and has been attending music school since he was 5. He has 2 degrees, Classical and Contemporary vocals, a Masters in Composition (for which he received a perfect score) and he’s currently coming to the end of his Doctorate in Musicality and I’m sure his latest masterpiece The Story of One Sky will go towards that! About He is famous for having an unusually wide vocal range and his ability to sing in more than fifteen languages. Dimash was born Dinmukhammed Kanatuly Kudaibergen in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan on the 24th of May, 1994. When he was only five years old, Dimash began taking vocal and piano lessons at the children's section of the Akhmet Zhubanov Music College. He continued his training throughout his school years and eventually attended the music institute of K. Zhubanov University. Well, you're the first person I've seen who knew what the instrument was! It is indeed the Qobyz but it's a traditional instrument of Kazakhstan which is where Dimash comes from. He has a 7.2 octave range and has sung in 14 different languages including Kazakh, English, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese and Spanish. He's classically trained and has a degree in vocals, a master's in composition and is currently doing his PhD alongside recording, touring the world, recording monumental music videos and doing the odd modelling job or public appearance. He sings everything from Opera to Rap and if you're going to go further down the rabbit hole I would definitely recommend SOS, especially the 2021 version from his online concert he did during the pandemic. It's the song that shot him to stardom in China where he appeared in a show called I Am Singer which is a vocal competition for established artists.

As for recommendations, of course, everyone has their own preferences, but regarding the performance of SOS, it seems to me that the Belarusian version (Slavianski Bazaar) is the best. IMHO.

Holy cow alright! Go down the Dimash rabbit hole - you won’t be disappointed - he will give you something mind blowingly different every time. There’s always more - unbelievable talent, voice, stage presence. This is just one facet of the talent of Dimash - he sings in 15 different languages (2 fluently - his native Kazakh and Russian) and he has good English, otherwise lyrics are learned phonetically - an incredible talent in itself. He is a skilled musician, plays 7 instruments, is a composer, director, producer, actor, model, academic (2 degrees including a masters in classical bel canto/jazz vocals, composition and currently undertaking his Doctorate in Musicology), businessman, humanitarian and patriot. On top of that he is as humble as he is talented. His versatility across most genres is amazing. I have been a Dear since 2019 and listen to Dimash constantly, like hours every day. Also going to my first concert in Malaysia in June. His concerts are usually almost 3 hours long.

This is one of the oldest ways of making musical instruments in the history of mankind. It is not due to technical backwardness or the lack of metal devices. According to the ancient beliefs of many people, only in a single piece will the living singing soul of the tree remain, which will sound in the instrument. Yes Kobyz but its from Kazakhstan as Dimash is a very proud Kazakh, nothing here is middle eastern more Central Asian. Yes he can sing all the notes, all the octave and all the genres. Dimash is a most highly educated musician up to his present PhD studies. Only 28 years old he was 27 here, and he has been on stage for 23 years, professionally for the last 12 years since he was 16. Winner of so many prestigious international vocal contests there is no space here to list them. From an amazingly musical family and all his friends are musicians. He is well known in the music industry with offers of collaborations worldwide from people such as Hans Zimmer. Dimashis a superstar with innumerable fans worldwide and fanclubs in every continent. He prefers live solo concerts where he can be with his Dears, as his fans are called because we are his family and are very Dear to him. His stadium concerts are epic and he is a rockstar 💖
I think Central Asia is just lost in perception of people outside the region. You say Asia, and people can only remember China, Japan, Korea, not even India or Russia, less so any other Asian countries. But Dimash made the region known to the entire world.

Great reaction! Yep, that's a Qobyz or Kobyz, kind of a violin/cello precursor - no frets, no fingerboard, all horsehair and one piece of wood. His high notes are crazy - F6 on this one. But his high mix is really high for a guy with that ending F#5 as his big killer note in various songs, but I think he did something like a C6 in Confessa. Kind of scary, like there's too much energy to be safe. He did show off his improved low range on this song and it shocked just about everyone. You're also quite right about the attention to detail on the design of the song. The composer was on the piano, but there were at least 2 others doing the orchestration and a separate lyricist. So overall it is a very classically structured team to put together to make this song successful. This was the debut performance of the song. I don't know of a studio version. It was done so well, live at a music festival, that I don't think they need a studio version. I've never been a big fan of live concert recordings for home listening, but things are changing.

His range of pitch, technique and musical style is superbly impressive. You'll probably really enjoy Sinful Passion which has a 23 second phrase and some incredible vocal acrobatics! You were Dimashified. You may have been shocked by Dimash but I was shocked by you finding Dimash by your first listen being stranger. This one is a heavy song to be introduced to Dimash by. Everything he does outdoes the one before. He has so much live stag material that it will freak you out. Sometimes he has to do mic tricks so that people can know that this stuff really is live. Wikipedia has his career as starting at age 2 with two professional parents introducing him to the stage and his career at th3 music academy at the university starting at age 5 when his grandmother found he had perfect pitch and at five he also one his first piano contest. You did not stumble on an ordinary person or singer. Dimash is a maestro vocalist practicing with or without a vocal coach 3 hours a day. He was a child prodigy and still is an adult prodigy. Starting his career earlier than his two idols Michael Jackson and Freddy Mercury who both abused their bodies in different ways and Michael had surgery to keep his voice high and Freddy had beers lined up on the piano on stage while he performed and slept with anything that moved without protection. Dimash is clean and and a humble kind shy person not putting himself further than those he performs with. He has so many talents that we have to be thankful that we’re living in the century of Dimash, the vocalist in a hundred years. This was 5 octaves not 4 no offense. Dimash sings in every register and can sing each note with more than 10 techniques.

Basically, whenever you see Igor Krutoy at the piano performing with Dimash, it means that he’s the composer of the songs he sings. It was Dimash’s idea to incorporate the beautiful and haunting sound of the Qobyz, the traditional Kazakh string instrument: what a brilliant addition to the composition! It gives much more depth to the meaning of the song I think. Also, listening to Stranger is in and of itself a musical journey where we’re accompanying Dimash through this “stranger’s land” with each and every vocal technique and singing style which denotes a different culture and path in life. I wouldn't advise reacting to The Story of One Sky until he has at least a couple more Dimash songs under his belt. Yes we'd love everyone to see it but it's a very complex song for someone who doesn't know what Di is capable of yet.

He has 6 octaves, 2 or 3 subtones, and whistle notes. He has one in Unforgettable Day that my ears can't hear. I haven't heard him do country yet, but I sure bet he can yodel. He is from Kazakstan, which is Asian, but his religion is Muslim which explains the vocal 'warble'. He is such a warm and humble young man.

He also performs many songs that have very deep messages,lots of feelings,lyrics are important. Dimash got his big break on The Singer 2017. This was a competition program in China. The performances from that program are a good starter. English subtitles are available. Opera 2 from this program is great. Dimash is THE greatest vocalist of ALL time! The music was composed by famous billionaire Russian composer/music mogul (on piano) Igor Krutoy. Igor came out of retirement in 2018 to work with and compose for Dimash when he first heard him sing in 2018. This is Krutoy’s annual competition for singers New Wave in Russia. Dimash was a guest here in 2021 and he was also one of the judges. This was the premier performance of this song. However Dimash has sung it very differently since then, every performance is incredibly amazing! Dimash is also a great composer. He has just released his latest composition masterpiece The Story of One Sky, a music video 13 mins and 40 secs long (it cost Dimash over 7,000,000 USD, the most expensive MV ever created) Dimash also acted in the MV and he wrote the screen play. He is famous for having an unusually wide vocal range and his ability to sing in more than fifteen languages. Dimash was born Dinmukhammed Kanatuly Kudaibergen in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan on the 24th of May, 1994.
When he was only five years old, Dimash began taking vocal and piano lessons at the children's section of the Akhmet Zhubanov Music College. He continued his training throughout his school years and eventually attended the music institute of K. Zhubanov University. He graduated in 2014 with a classical music degree centred on vocal ability. He continued his musical education by studying contemporary music Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana.
He successfully received a Master's degree in Composition and was even recommended for the PhD program. Throughout his time at university, Dimash entered four major singing competitions in Kazakhstan. He won the National Zhas Kanat Contest with a perfect score of 180 out of 180, which was unprecedented in the competition's history. In December 2014, he was awarded a laureate of the State Youth Prize Daryn.
He released his first album in China the same year, and it went platinum in thirty-seven seconds!

Well, you're the first person I've seen who knew what the instrument was! It is indeed the Qobyz but it's a traditional instrument of Kazakhstan which is where Dimash comes from.
He has a 7.2 octave range and has sung in 14 different languages including Kazakh, English, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese and Spanish. He's classically trained and has a degree in vocals, a master's in composition and is currently doing his PhD alongside recording, touring the world, recording monumental music videos and doing the odd modelling job or public appearance.
He sings everything from Opera to Rap and if you're going to go further down the rabbit hole I would definitely recommend SOS, especially the 2021 version from his online concert he did during the pandemic. It's the song that shot him to stardom in China where he appeared in a show called I Am Singer which is a vocal competition for established artists.

The gentleman playing the Kobyz is master Olzhas Qurmanbeck, the best player in Kazakhstan 🎻🔝 The Kobyz is the first stringed instrument ever. Kobyz is an ancient tool of the Kazakh people. It was used in ancient times by steppe shamans-healers for various rites. Kobyzy is made from a single piece of wood. This is one of the oldest ways of making musical instruments in the history of mankind. It is not due to technical backwardness or the lack of metal devices. According to the ancient beliefs of many people, only in a single piece will the living singing soul of the tree remain, which will sound in the instrument. The open body and strings of the kobyz from a bunch of 30-60 untwisted horse hair give a very thick, overtone-rich timbre. 🔝🔝🔝

Yes Kobyz but its from Kazakhstan as Dimash is a very proud Kazakh, nothing here is middle eastern more Central Asian. Yes he can sing all the notes, all the octave and all the genres. Dimash is a most highly educated musician up to his present PhD studies. Only 28 years old he was 27 here, and he has been on stage for 23 years, professionally for the last 12 years since he was 16. Winner of so many prestigious international vocal contests there is no space here to list them. From an amazingly musical family and all his friends are musicians. He is well known in the music industry with offers of collaborations worldwide from people such as Hans Zimmer. Dimashis a superstar with innumerable fans worldwide and fanclubs in every continent. I think Central Asia is just lost in perception of people outside the region. You say Asia, and people can only remember China, Japan, Korea, not even India or Russia, less so any other Asian countries. But Dimash made the region known to the entire world.

Igor Krutoy (Krutoy means 'Cool', *1954 in Ukraine SSR). He lives and works in Moscow/ Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family is in the US now. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.
Dimash said also in an interview about the collaboration with Igor Krutoy that it is important to him that the songs are written in such a way that there is room for variations ... so every performance of a song is a surprise and every Dear can choose his favorite presentation... I can not decide.

Great reaction! Yep, that's a Qobyz or Kobyz, kind of a violin/cello precursor - no frets, no fingerboard, all horsehair and one piece of wood.
His high notes are crazy - F6 on this one. But his high mix is really high for a guy with that ending F#5 as his big killer note in various songs, but I think he did something like a C6 in Confessa. Kind of scary, like there's too much energy to be safe.
He did show off his improved low range on this song and it shocked just about everyone.
You're also quite right about the attention to detail on the design of the song. The composer was on the piano, but there were at least 2 others doing the orchestration and a separate lyricist. So overall it is a very classically structured team to put together to make this song successful.
This was the debut performance of the song. I don't know of a studio version. It was done so well, live at a music festival, that I don't think they need a studio version. I've never been a big fan of live concert recordings for home listening, but things are changing.

You were Dimashified. You may have been shocked by Dimash but I was shocked by you finding Dimash by your first listen being stranger. This one is a heavy song to be introduced to Dimash by. Everything he does outdoes the one before. He has so much live stag material that it will freak you out. Sometimes he has to do mic tricks so that people can know that this stuff really is live. Wikipedia has his career as starting at age 2 with two professional parents introducing him to the stage and his career at th3 music academy at the university starting at age 5 when his grandmother found he had perfect pitch and at five he also one his first piano contest. You did not stumble on an ordinary person or singer. Dimash is a maestro vocalist practicing with or without a vocal coach 3 hours a day. He was a child prodigy and still is an adult prodigy. Starting his career earlier than his two idols Michael Jackson and Freddy Mercury who both abused their bodies in different ways and Michael had surgery to keep his voice high and Freddy had beers lined up on the piano on stage while he performed and slept with anything that moved without protection. Dimash is clean and and a humble kind shy person not putting himself further than those he performs with. He has so many talents that we have to be thankful that we’re living in the century of Dimash, the vocalist in a hundred years. This was 5 octaves not 4 no offense. Dimash sings in every register and can sing each note with more than 10 techniques.
Stranger is a very good performance to discover Dimash. And then, there are a long list of other masterpieces in all genres (opera, rock, folk, ballads...). He is the best singer of the world, and perhaps of the history, because beyond his insane vocal range, he has a total control of his voice, in all registers, of his breath, and a powerful stage presence. And last but not least, he is an extraordinary person: very humble, always polite, trying to transcend borders, cultures and religions, fed by philosophy and literature, an impressive young man.

Thank you so much for reacting to Stranger, yet another masterpiece composed by Igor for Dimash! Basically, whenever you see Igor Krutoy at the piano performing with Dimash, it means that he’s the composer of the songs he sings.
It was Dimash’s idea to incorporate the beautiful and haunting sound of the Qobyz, the traditional Kazakh string instrument: what a brilliant addition to the composition! It gives much more depth to the meaning of the song I think.
Also, listening to Stranger is in and of itself a musical journey where we’re accompanying Dimash through this “stranger’s land” with each and every vocal technique and singing style which denotes a different culture and path in life. Dimash is such an amazing storyteller and performer! And of course, he’s an insanely masterful and talented vocalist!

He has 6 octaves, 2 or 3 subtones, and whistle notes. He has one in Unforgettable Day that my ears can't hear. I haven't heard him do country yet, but I sure bet he can yodel. He is from Kazakstan, which is Asian, but his religion is Muslim which explains the vocal 'warble'. He is such a warm and humble young man.

Happy to see you experience Dimash. Your channel is about to be bombarded. For future reference,you'll always want to look for English subtitles with his video's. He performs in multiple languages. He also performs many songs that have very deep messages,lots of feelings,lyrics are important. Dimash got his big break on The Singer 2017. This was a competition program in China. The performances from that program are a good starter. English subtitles are available. Opera 2 from this program is great. Look for the video that is captioned Dimash sings Opera 2 not knowing dad is in the audience. It was posted by Irises in The Sun. Sorry I don't know how to do the link thingy. His youtube channel contains other live performances, official music videos,etc. He is well known for never performing a song the same way twice. So you can watch him perform a song at a venue,watch the same song at another venue,then turn around and watch the MV of that song and all the performances are different. He loves to add special treats(as I call them)to each version of a song. His MVs are fantastic. They are nothing like the regular MVs that other artist put out. Hope to see more Dimash from you.

Also, his latest MV, The Story of One Sky, while 12 minutes long and very intense has a very strong message. He composed the music, wrote the script, and played the major role. You will see more of his range and what he can do with that voice. Most talented artist I have ever had the pleasure of hearing and since finding him in 2017, I can tell you I listen to Dimash every day. Add the fact that he is a very humble, beautiful young man who is so respectful and honoring of his fans, family, country etc and you have a true gem.
