Bro omfg you are a freaking life saver iv been dealing with this issue for so long and have never figured it out iv looked all over and no one every mentioned that bottom fuse box, it’s been about 5 years and today I fixed it
Rene Ratcliff I did that and changed the fuse which made it work when I push the button, but it still won’t work when I open the doors or push the dome override button
Thank you!! The ones that the book labelled were all fine, but no light. I went to all LED, and figured I'd blown a relay since every fuse listed was good. Well the relay block I needed was way back behind the instrument cluster, tore everything out, only to find out that no, it wasn't even there? I'm convinced that the book is from 03 or up, with the cover from the right one on it lol it never said a word about interior fuses under the hood. Looked, found it, BLOWN, pop new one in, good to go
I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado my dome nor my reverse lights worked I replaced “TBC 2A” (Fuse) on the interior fuse box located on the driver side it’s a TRUCK BODY CONTROLLER also, make sure to check “TBC 2B” it’s a truck body controller as well. This fixed my dome and reverse lights problem.
I got an 05 sierra and the interior lights come on when i open the door, and i can use the switch by the steering wheel to turn on the interior lights. But the map lights and dome light wont come on with the buttons next to the lights themselves. They both stopped working at the same time and with new halogen bulbs they would turn on but were extremely dim. Replaced with LEDs and they wont turn on with the buttons next to the lights at all
The reason crtsy fuse blows,is parking brake cuts into wire.follow parking brake up and you'll see the wire harness runs on it,find wire and tape it up
I have 2002 chevy tahoe my light switch turns on my headlight and interior lights but not my dash lights should i just try my switches from junkyard or is there a dash light fuse ?
symptoms was 1:non of the courtesy light (dome light) was not function 2: later I found that my obd 2 scanner port was not Function so I found blowen (15 ) and also i found dome light (15) fuse blowen same time , so i replace those and now operating like it should be,
I have the same problem my interior lights won't turn on when the door is open but they won't if I turn them on manually, I already tried changing the fuse and also check the override switch, any ideas
@@killamekilla8971 I don’t have ctsy fuse in either one of my fuse boxes. But I have intpark and it’s under the hood. Check that out. It supposably for interior lights and few other lights as well
I have same problem with my 97 chevy tahoe but I was the one who accidentally blew the dome lights by accidentally trying to put in leds now theyre still not working checked all fuses all afe good. Took off dashboard and still cant seem to find the problem.. any suggestions.?
Jeffhdz Perez the led bulbs wont work on direction turn them over and try that they are directional power has to supply one side ground the other side if they don't work one way flip them over
In my 2005 tahoe, open the drivers door and lights may not come on. Sometimes when I leave the vehicle the radio stays on and the instrument cluster lights stay on. I'm told that the switches for each door are located within each door at the latch itself. Slamming the door corrects the problem for me but for how long. Of course, a simple pillar switch would be too convenient for a fix so having to take the door apart may be the only real fix.

This just saved my ass thanks bro... cryst 15a fuse under the hood towards bottom right
The way I fixed the problem was by changing the CTSY fuse. It was blown.
Were is this fuze at?
Rene Ratcliff , your advice help me thanks
in the fuse box under the hood , it probably says Cryst LP or something like that its a 15
Rene Ratcliff I did that and changed the fuse which made it work when I push the button, but it still won’t work when I open the doors or push the dome override button

Rule of thumb: replace the bulbs first while fuse is out then connect fuse

*Parking brake? What do you mean the brake that you push down with your foot or??*
Orange wire on mine is chewed up from the park brake.
