@@justjoshinaroundz1249 The blue line shows the direction the opponent is inputting for DI. If you have a quick reaction time, you can use this to choose the right follow up to continue a combo.
Exactly my point if someone reading this is going up against a kazuya at their school or their friends or online. The switch DI will probably work. These are some of the best players in the game. I don't even blame the OP for not knowing this because I tried to play kazuya but I couldn't do it. @@sullivanish Makes perfect sense… I’ve got like 2000hrs in the game and been playing kaz for the last couple months but I never clocked in on the blue line… my brain just censored it out I guess
Again the example you showed is two of the best players in the world where one was able to use his mastery of the game (which few can match) to hit another pro in a tournament. The people that the person reading this will fight at their school or online will most likely have trained follow up meticulously in the training mode and auto pilot the wrong move. So unless you plan to be making it to like top 30 in one of the biggest smash tournaments in the world I would say in most cases the switch up DI will probably work.
lmao he was already doing that, first off even if he got out he would still be at hella high percent, and second not di switching on the last hit was probably a mix up too, because he did the di switch on every hit before that.
im ngl, im not a good player by any means but to this day, I still can not visibly see the blue line even when spectating. When playing, yeah i completely forget its even there
So u dash after EWGF, and the auto turnaround let's u face them with the nair in they happen to go behind u, and if they DI away from u, you'd be in position to follow up with the nair, is that what's going on? Also would it still connect if u dash and they don't DI at all?
Nah that was knowing high level players have to always mix up its like a parasite to them you punish them once for something they won’t do it for the rest of the set lmao
Interesting to see a video about this. I've been arguing this in comment sections against Kazuya players for months now. That the dash set up likely makes it a guaranteed true follow up. Just curious, did you happen to read any of my comments? Though I hink the real reason you don't see this from lower Kazuya's is simply because they're not aware this is possible. Just like you don't see clean f-tilt/n-air chains from lower Sheik players. You have to know you need delay the n-airs slightly to make it a true combo. It's the type of thing that is easy to miss but kind of obvious when it's explained to you
You basically just gotta be very aware of your positioning when hit with electric and where to di (go to platforms with mxied di to force a ferps tech mixup or di off stage to avoid a combo continuation also with mixed di etc)
@Scriggle this video is talking about option select which is the counterplay to mixed di when there are no platforms. An electric near a platform is a 50/50 because ferps tech (the followup to when someone lands on a platform) must be buffered. Thus, you cannot react to di with option select and do ferps tech at the same time.
Yeah its nice (even though kaz has the worst auto turnaround out of any fighting game character in smash) but you definitely cant even comprehend how hard it is to use kazuya.
