Highlights from the late-blooming Venezuelan prospect (#16, brown and grey jersey) at the recent Nationals of the under seventeen category, where he and his state team, Miranda, were crowned champions of Venezuela. Márquez demonstrated flashes as a wing, although he was used as the de-facto big of an undersized team; netted double figures of points and rebounds, as well as altering and blocking shots around the rim with his length. All of this while being under the tournament's age, as he's a 2006-born.
The 6'6 forward hailing from eastern Caracas is targeting to continue his development abroad.
