- Sudhir Sukumaran is a Malayalam actor, who has acted in more than 30 Malayalam films and serials. He is often mistaken for a North Indian. He was a model before being invited to act in the hit 2003 Dileep-starring comedy film CID Moosa. His role was that of a terrorist.
His other film was Vinu Anand’s 2007 film Heart Beats, starring opposite Biju Menon and Indrajith. Kanichukulangarayil CBI (2008), Moz and Cat (2009), Malayali (2010) and Yakshiyum Njanum (The She-devil and Me) were other films of his.
Sukumaran is married and enjoys working out. He often posts photos of himself exercising on his Facebook profile. He often collaborates with fellow actor Dileep in movie projects.
His first film as the main character was in 2012’s Dracula. While he received praise for his physique and appearance, the film was a critical and financial failure. Critics described the film as “unintentionally hilarious”. Sukumaran brought further negative press by allegedly beating up his Dracula co-star Rajeshwari Nambiar on the road. She alleged that Sukumaran followed her car on a bike, dragged her out of the car and roughed her up. She alleged that he had made romantic advances towards her in the preceding days and that he was taking revenge for her scorning his advances. A case was filed at Kadavanthara police station in Kochi. Sukumaran, who was in Hyderabad for a film shoot at the time, was asked to return to Kochi.
His film Bhaiyya Bhaiyya with Kunchacko Boban and Biju Menon was a success. He worked together with Dileep after 5 years in the Evan Maryadharaman, which is to be released later this year. Due to his facial features, he is often casted in North Indian roles in Malayalam films. After the apprehension of the infamous professional thief Devinder Singh (Bunty Chor), Sudhir Sukumaran was casted to play him in Bandi Bunty- A Story of a Thief, a Manoj Ram project.
