I love how everyone said exactly what I was thinking. "Now make a U-turn"😂
Sounds like the Michigan Left, where they require you to turn right, and then make a U-turn, to minimize the impact of your left turn on thru traffic.

I love this series of jamesh and the google apps ❤
Meanwhile Apple Maps:
Go straight under the river to arrive at the destination
Or “turn right ahead” on a one-way going left
That reminds me when I was in Florida and I was dealing with the directions and the map kept saying go forward and we didn't understand what it meant bc there was a water canal in front of us..after about 15 minutes we figured out there was an underwater way to go through so we really felt dumb after that XD
"we're gonna be turning RIGHT and you're gonna tell me a new way to get to my house."
"okay. make a u-turn. make a u-turn. make a u-turn."
im starting to think google maps is trying to assassinate him
“please make a U-turn”
Where I use Google maps I've literally never gotten that without there being a no U turn sign in plain view at the same time, and sadly I've gotten that message often.
And then Google maps says, "You're gunna wanna drive 283 miles and take exit 218 from i80, then take the next left back onto i80, and drive 283 miles back to your house."
exactly
Yeah, only so much you can do when you enter the freeway 😅
@@homerman76 lmao your pretty much fucked at that point
I was very confused at seeing I-80 and exit 218, until I realized the one I'm familiar with is exit onto hwy 281 lol.
I call that a "You missed a turn and you gotta use the freeway" move by google
That " Ding dong ding dong ding" was personal
Then when you turn the opposite direction your gps starts freaking out and repeats proceed to the route over and over instead of instantly rerouting.
Today is my birthday and I have no subscribers
Or it does that frustrated tone bc you missed the turn or exit

Google Maps always wants to do illegal things too😂😂. Wants me to turn over double solid lines 😂
That's not illegal, it's only illegal to cross the line to pass
Depends on the colour of the lines. Yellow is actually a suggestion. White lines are legal boundaries
Yup, it's only illegal to cross the yellow if it's a pair of double yellows instead of just one double yellow
It’s illegal depending on the state.
I believe it’s always illegal in Texas. In Washington it’s legal as long as you don’t obstruct traffic in either direction.
Same, there’s a junction outside my work that specifically has a “no right turns” sign and yet EVERY TIME, Google will try and make me do a right turn there if I’m going that way. It’s hilarious.
“rerouting..”
“your new route will take 10 years, 2.7 months, 8 days, 2 hours and 52 minutes”
"Now simply turn left. Ignore the sign telling you that you aren't supposed to, and the good reason for that sign being there. You wanted the fastest route, right?"
Stop in the left lane in front of cars going 55mph, drive over the median, then through two lanes of traffic, and into the entrance of the wrong parking lot that's not even open. That's what it tells me to do if I navigate to my job
@@AJ-Palermolmao 🤣
I like how maps re-routes me and then I proceed to turn into some random parking lot to complete an overcomplicated U-turn because the alternative route adds 10 mins.
I like how maps will try to make me go around 8+ blocks instead of doing a u turn. Oh, and, also route me from point a to point b, knowing part of the road has been shut down for 1+ month(s) and will remain that way for 1+ more month(s), which means i have to find a way around the road closure without its help.

Google Maps: **Arrived at Destination**, found myself in the middle of a river.
Apple maps: **Please go left, then right, then North-east, South-west, Antarctica, Mexico, North Korea after all that go 300 steps right then go East 5000 km and go 11000 meter Z-axis..........so much much eternity later.... you've reached your destination** (Mariana Trench)
😢😢 I just want to go to a water park (at least google was near enough).
"Now turn towards Shlinkforp lane, 71.8 half-miles across the 6th dimension"
I once did this and it told me to make an illegal u-turn and when I didn't it told me to turn THE WRONG WAY on a one-way street.
One of my favorite "features" of google maps is when you take the time to look at the route, and then make adjustments to avoid roads you're not comfortable with. And then as your driving, google decides to just ignore all the changes you made and point you to go on the very roads you specifically took the time to plan to avoid. And then you have to either stop the car completely and reprogram it or you need to fumble around with it while going 65 miles an hour on some claustrophobic death corridor.
But my very favorite feature is that there is no way to turn this awesome" feature" off in the settings. It just happens sometimes! How exciting! I'm curious how many people have literally died because of it!
