Congratulations sana Angie, I went through the same and even waited longer 8 months and even decided to forget about the wedding. Spent a lot of money on chai and I know a few people in the office of No Impediment and MFA. I prayed and then stopped praying about it then one day they decided to release the document God's timing is the Best.

I had my wedding in Heidelberg this year after exchanging a million and one documents between Kenya and Germany
I now have the marriage certificate but getting the national visa (spousal visa) is another story
You wait until you almost forget you were in a process.
Then were you asked to do corrections during the application for certificate of no impediment?
Quite frustrating.
There’s a cyber across the street from Sheria house,they do it for you at a fee

Does the German process require a certain period of time during courtship before marriage? Or you just meet hook up and apply the marriage process?

Hi Elizabeth, not very sure but during registration for the marriage, we were asked how long we had been together so maybe it does matter
