Not sure if you guys have seen Miles Teller argument about the academy ignoring what Tom Cruise does in preparation for his films but embraces an actor getting tons of make up and changing his persona. He truly becomes Ethan Hunt for these films, just as he became Maverick for Top Gun. A true artist.

The fact that Tom's movies aren't winning the top awards in Hollywood reminds us all that people only see what they want. Shame on the academy for not recognizing the cast and crew of Tom's movies. Glad I'm a fan who always goes to the movies to support Tom.

All, in regards to acting, Tom and cast members should be recognized for their talents by the different award shows. As fans, we are going to continue to support but when the award shows don't recognize consistently impressive talent it is clear there's a terrible bias in Hollywood and among the boards on the award shows.

There must be a nomination for stuntmen in Academy, yes. But apart from technical nominations, i cannot fathom any award nominations for MI. Except Phillip Seymour Hoffman in MI 3 and perhaps, Brad Bird in MI 4 for directing.

The reason why there might not be an Oscar for stunts is that how can we be sure that the stunts were safe? Some director could go for the craziest stunt ever and people could get injured or killed trying to pull off the stunt. Where does the line get drawn between impressive stunt and too dangerous?
