Thrifting and antiquing are my favorite things to get out and do. Looking on Pinterest is my favorite thing to stay in and do. So it’s only natural that what I find on Pinterest, I’m going to try to recreate it by going thrifting 😂. That’s what’s happening in this video. I’m thrifting for outdoor decor that I can diy. Omg!!! I love mommas family too!!! I use to watch it every night with my maw maw. Then when that went off we watched married with children. Another show I watched with my maw maw was the Golden Girls. 🥰

Omg that intro with Yadi 😻 I've never heard of Mama's Family. My favorite childhood TV show was Charmed! I still watch it all the time, especially when crafting or painting. It never gets old!!

Everything came out beautifully,I’ve been working outside since Mother’s day weekend,but with real flowers and plants,but out front I decorated with artificial flowers and plants I love both ways

Oh my gosh. You remind me so much of me. Cats wandering around trying to "help" me, being a chemist and mixing my paints and loving "Mama's Family". My three favorite t.v. shows ever are "Frasier", "Whose Line is it Anyway" and "The Golden Girls".

I had a cat walk through white paint onto my wood floors. He also got into the fire place and tracked ashes all over. Cats!

OH! I just thought of something while I was watching you paint the gold out of the wire cloche doo-dad thingy- you could add a "handle" or loop to the top by bending a U shape into wire and curling the two ends around the screws at the top at either side... couild also cross (like a tic-tac-toe or basket weave?) four wires at the bottom for the electric candle to "sit" on and add a drop of glue to secure the candle in place. This all depends, of course what the battery compartment looks like? And if I make any sense without diagrams. lol

The original patina on the gas can was so pretty. I think it would have look great against the green chair and the bucket. Btw..my kitties like to "help" with crafting, too!
I loved the original old rust too, and I honestly would have left it except I was trying to duplicate the Pinterest picture. But there’s lots more old gas cans where that one came from 😉 Thanks for watching 💗💗💗

You have to have been gifted the Hotel collection. I have seen it on other u tube sites also, and checked it out. The cost is crazy!!!!! So I will keep to my Scenty, wax melts, wall plugs . I actually think letting the elements work their magic on the chair and can , is what gives them the true aged patina. You did an amazing job re-creating the inspiration photo. Keep your eye out for a little plant mister, which I see frequently at Ross.

I have seen people use the oven cleaner and only let it sit a few minutes and they could wipe it right off with a wet rag. I love what you did with everything. I looked into the diffuser. Wow 299.00 and up for just the diffuser. I bet there nice.. but I think I will stick with cubes. Lol.
Hi Becky! I was so glad the oven cleaner worked. The products are a little pricey but I give my word it smells just like a fancy hotel I stayed at once. Maybe ask for it for Christmas 😉

Just subscribed! I just got an old rusted oil can today! So your right, it doesn't come w/a plastic lid . Mine already had been painted w/an American flag, so I just put it in my flower garden. It's a larger size and I paid only $10. I also got an old round chicken feeder/ water container for $5( Have seen them for $20) so was glad to get it. It's also in my garden. Loved how well you matched the inspiration pic!

Oven cleaner is for metal and not wood .. this is a very dangerous fad and I hope people also watch all the reason why you shouldn’t be doing this to wood.
