It has been literally decades... um, maybe half a century, even, since I last watched a pro basketball game. But has the game changed soooooo much that the players don't step on the centre court logos hundreds or thousands of times each game? Or have the rules now changed so that players are now expected to make neat little detours at centre court? Doesn't that complicate the initial tip offs? If the logos are so precious, then perhaps it shouldn't be painted on the floor, you know, the place where people walk, run and otherwise put their feet.

I want someone to show up at his work and talk shit and throw shit at him and see how he feels. The moment my life sucks so bad that some thing that an athlete does triggers me into insulting a players family members or throwing shit at them is the moment I need to take stock in my life. I have a perspective on this being a Clevelander from Modell to The Decision to Kyrie demanding a trade. The Kyrie situation was a bit disheartening because he was one of the few draft successes post Decision and he made disparaging remarks about the City itself on the way out the door. But I never took it too personally and respected him for his game and chalked it up to immaturity, this season much like LBJ after the Decision, I have noticed a maturity in Kyrie and have been one of his staunchest supporters against any criticism against him. He has been unfairly criticized in the media over his absences from the team with no mention of the work as an activist and his work with the Floyd family. He has become a thoughtful and outspoken member of the global community and at the risk of sounding too quaint or earnest I am proud to see how he has grown as an individual

That moment when idiots are making false equivalency statements between a man having a bottle thrown at him vs. him walking on a corporate logo.
That alone says that they think so little of him, that he is less than a human being. So they're allowed to abuse him. He deserves better than this. Too many players are treated like trash and tossed to the curb for standing up for themselves or just simply existing. The team owners rarely even give a proper attempt at protecting their players.
They may not care about people but they damn sure care about money. Protect your players from fan/media abuse and unneccessary stress, and you will make a fuck-ton of cash.

Come on Screech, stop Capping for Kyrie. He wanted it and he got it. Just because he is right about Boston and their racism doesn't mean you have to ignore that Kyrie was sticking his Middle Finger at them and someone in the crowd of thousands would react like this. His way at pointing out things is with get back. That is childish and shouldn't be excused or ignored because the reactions are disproportionately bad. They are still reactions to an action.
