Nelson Mandela's Long Walk to Freedom is required reading for anyone struggling with the question of how to reconcile oneself to injustice in this world, past or present, personal or global. Like every great moral and spiritual teacher throughout history, his life story is both his message and his everlasting gift to humanity.

I like that you guys left out the part where you wouldn't help him be released from prison because he said he'd use any means necessary to fight the government. The fact that he still sang praise for Amnesty International after that kind of slap in the face is a true testament to the man the Nelson Mandela was.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Amnesty International refused to call for Nelson Mandela's release while he was actually in prison because Amnesty insisted that Nelson Mandela "supported violence." Well, nice that you were so nice AFTER he served his 27 years.

Hes such a legend that amnesty international (who now praises him) wouldnt even call for his release, because he wouldnt renounce violence, nor did defend him on trial agianst the goverment because of his many terrorist crimes.

After 30 years of supporting Amnesty? This is the very last time this mob of bums will see a red cent from any source of mine.
I wonder, does Amnesty have an opinion about the genocide currently occurring in Mandela's SA today? Have they forgotten this man's refusal to renounce violence? His acts of terror? His refusal to apologise to his victims?
If I am not mistaken Amnesty also had a thing or two to say to imply the Chemical attacks in Syria and which the community confirmed were caused by Israel and Saudi Arabia were SAA related.
What the hell has happened to this once great organisation?
