It also causes one to consider the possibility of someone coming up from behind.
These type of rides all have the problem of slow riders but that's the way it is. When you on top you want as long as you can before starting but the ride operator wants you to go. To solve the problem would be easy, have sensors to track each sled speed intervals and a computer could display info to the riders in advance.

The solution is simple, just wait longer before starting. I would wait an extra two minutes if it meant not having to slow down for the woman who had no business taking this ride.
would be easier if there was a switch good enough distance down the track that once one car reaches it, it then switches the next car to go, then the third waiting has to wait for the one in front of it to hit the same switch.
@@dragnridr05 it's called the brake on the sled. You don't HAVE to go when they tell you you can. You can sit on that brake 5ft out of the starting gate for your two extra minutes. Of course, you won't be making any friends with the people waiting behind you. But you can challenge them to try and catch you.
In the meantime, they have installed a fully automatic brake where you can almost never stand still on the track. When the gondola gets too close to the other gondola, the gondola behind automatically brakes to keep enough distance from the person in front. Such as the system in Dawson Duwel in Bellewaerde park (Belgium) and in Stein Wassen park an amusement park not so far from this coaster. :)

They need to space out those departure times a LOT more. You should NEVER have to completely stop on one of those rides, it kills the enjoyment of the ride (you might as well have just thrown your money away), and it is DANGEROUS, because either inattentive or overly aggressive riders could crash into the back of someone, damaging the sleds and possibly injuring people.

If you have the ticket to the ride, is it possible to ride it unlimited, as long as there are available carts for it?
Hey, no unfortunately it is 1 ticket per ride, if you want to go again you have to buy a new ticket to experience a new ride. :)
They should have special batches for slow coaches only and for speed demons only. There is only one way to ride this and that is to never touch the brakes, anything else I'd want my money back.

How do the cars get back to the top of the ride? I don't see a track or chain to lift them back up to the top.
about 3:17, you can see the chair lift going up and there are alpine cars in between each chair

I went on this and this women went the slowest setting the ENTIRE ride. Luckily, I wasn't behind her and just saw her but that would've been awful

I lived in Germany for 3 years... the Black Forest is amazing and they have really good cake... the alpine coaster I went on also had a long slide that you went down with carpets nearby!

This is another clear example why these rides should not have any customer applicable breaks. Besides these slow idiots destroy the experience for most, it is crazy dangerous that someone can stop in a sharp curve and cause an unavoidable collision.

It shouldn't have brakes. Slowing down for people in front of you is no fun at all.
While it is annoying to have someone so slow ahead of you that is also an organisational failure and then to repeatedly stop altogether is just stupid. Someone will only notice the standing sleigh at the last moment and in a panic will forget how to brake.

the idea is that you go down a mountain it cannot make the speed like a roller coaster nor go up it can only go down and make loops down.

Nope, its when they have way too many people and they get greedy for money, letting too many people through with the space of time between letting each person being too little. That is why one has to put on the brakes so often.
The experience just does'nt end up being as great as it absolutely should and could be.

I don't understand why someone would get on this Mountain coaster and ride the brake all the way down!! I'm not even the person riding and it aggravates me that someone in front of you is riding the brakes!! They ought to have a bunny Hill for them!
