We run an online grocery store in Dublin, Ireland. Our products ranges from Indian, African, Arabic, Brazilian, Croatian, and Filipino groceries. Naturally our customers are from different ethnicities. Is there a way to segment them based on this?

You would setup a customer meta field and tag each customer either manually or via an app and then use customer segments via that meta field

do you mean you have a list of customers that you want to add as subscribers? can you explain more about your requirement?

@@onescales in customer segment when you open there is option of email subscription, some has subscribed you and some not if you open it there is option of marketing status in which there is option of customer agreed to receive marketing emails how can we change the marketing status of all customers at once

@@sam-cheema you should have approval from the customer before you subscribe them. you can look at the customers page and "export" an example. You will see when you import via csv that you have the column "Accepts Email Marketing" set to "yes"

So frustrating...You start to explain how to create a Gender metafield and then you just say "etcetera etcetera," like of course we know how to do each step, but not all of us do. It would be great if you would do more of a step-by-step tutorial on creating metafields for gender and birthday, customer's preferred name, membership number, and anything else that might be commonly used. I'm new at this.
