Being married to someone who doesn't love you back is one of the most painful things one can go through and does make you feel worthless. I was married for 5years to a man who didn't feel the same way about me this made me feel completely worthless and rejected on a daily basis. He divorced me and asked me to leave with our 3 kids. 6years later and I can still remember the feeling of him flirting with other women all the time and the pain of him never looking at me that way. I took care of myself and always tried to look good for him. It consoles me to know that our worth only comes from Allah. It doesn't matter who treats us badly because of our physical flaws or doesn't love us back. In Jannah we will look and be perfect . May we all reach there. Love yourself even if you not perfect...

Dear sister, this was indeed a beautiful reminder. Struggling with self worth sometimes comes from deep inside - the wounded child.
Going back to our early years when we needed most valuation, acceptance, emotional attuned caregivers and so on. The healing journey can be long and prbly will be a life long. If anyone interested dr Kim sage has got some good videos on that subject.
May Allah swt help us to really live up to our worth and therefore become better and stronger and may He help us esp with our children.
Allah has programmed ladies that way sister. Know u r not alone and Rembr that this is a constant struggle .. may Allah guide us all.

I don’t think it’s as black and white, for long time I tried convincing myself that I don’t need validation when I have Allah, however it’s still a struggle - there’s childhood wounds and to add to that we are living in society where it’s all about external validation- it’s a real struggle. Growing up if you were harshly criticised and received no praise from parents you can see how own can seek it elsewhere- May Allah increase us all in healthy confidence and be satisfied with knowing he values us
I'm drowning In the same pit. Growing up loveless and seeking external validation elsewhere when small things put me down so fast and I feel I have no purpose anymore. Feeling lonely all the time.
When ever peoples put me down .I remembered the hadith our beloved prophet Muhammad saw the woman through rubbish on him and how he delt with it subhanaallah that give me strength to get on alhamdulillah. May Allah keep us on straight path aameen. It's seems difficult but it's very easy if we understand life purpose. Just to worship Allah swt.

Self love deficit disorder is a generational curse. It was how we were brought up as kids that made us believe we are not worthy
This is such a needed video for this time. We are yet to establish why exactly we are in a global crisis of not valuing ourselves, it doesn’t quite compute what the source of this is. Nevertheless we need to find a way out of this demeaning belief system and get to a point where we truly respect ourselves.

At 1.50 I just called my mom , after bouts of depression through the years, tonight was ft like eternity of suffering. I felt I was done. I despite moving places couldn't respect myself because no one else ever did. But I was about to find a video to go sleep in peace. Allah showed this to me. Allah exists. Allah sees. I saw this.

I remember a narration regarding a youth that spoke such negative self talk to rasuul as, the nabi turned to him and told him no to the negative names of him self and reminded him he was aebdullah, and that is a grand thing
we were "alive without breathing" in our mothers womb and this real gave us some clue about "alive without breathing realm" hereafter..
