Try it with a spray bottle of alcohol. On RUclips they recommend stretching the designs over a bowl or cup and doing one at a time. By spraying you have more control over the 'bleed' of the dye.
How do you get it to set permanently? I did this and ironed the shirts, but the ink still runs and fades. The are beautiful, but not permanent! any ideas?
she did not mention that you need to use natural fabrics like 100% cotton shirts; wool; or silk; linen. So, I would try that too and use the bigger chiseled-edge sharpies. I think you could use another brand as long as it is a permanent marker. I would dry clean to prevent it bleeding into other fabrics in the laundry. I'd also suggest heat-setting with an iron appropriate to the fabric you use. but those are my oppinions.
Very disappointed in this - like a few others, I followed the directions exactly and the ink ran after I washed it in cold water. Put a lot of effort into it and then it was messed up. Tried white vinegar next and the ink ran right in the vinegar. Tryers - beware!
i am also disappointed because i wasted a lot of money and when i tried it three times and three time the color went and spread in full dress.really what terryMroczek say's is right tryers baware
never till this day did i think id say "i wish i was in the audience" for a show ... till now.. I WISH I WAS THERE ... free sharpies.. HELL YES!
Did it with the kids. It looks GREAT!!! I love it I cut my t-shirt with a tree in the back and cut off the sleeves. Such a cute T.
The audience's excitement for a twelve pack of sharpies is only rivaled by middleschoolers.
Wish she would do craft show again

Donna Simms Yes, she did say to iron it to set the design. But, she never said the kind of fabric that I heard.
@@samsmom60 I had it done on a pair of converse tennis shoes
I was curious about the rug she was describing so I went to check it out, it was quite pretty.
Love this! Such a neat idea. It should be on Pinterest :P

Are the shirts 100% cotton or cotton/poly blend? Does it matter if the alcohol is 90% or less?
"That is INCREDIBLE"
"It is magic" ?
Muito lindo!! Eu amei!!
Martha my idle😉
after gets dry , use a iron for 5 minutes , works
It is on Pinterest...
Does it last when you put it on a washer?
Anyone tried this and have any tips for the ironing so it will set part?
I did this in chem class after our final four years ago...
can I just use fabric markers???? plzzz answer me
anggundeco furniture yes, i think you can as long as they are permanent and be sure to heat set your design after it dries.
What can I use if I don't have that type of alcohol. I live in the U.K.
You don't have rubbing alcohol in the UK? Like what you keep in a medicine cabinet to disinfect wounds. Maybe Vodka?
Are Regular Sharpies used or the Oil Based ones??
I think they used just the normal sharpies
It’s cool but I wouldn’t wear the shirt
