I have always commented on the gentleman's quality of Governor Fubara which is a quality that he has that is very outstanding. He is an innocent and clean hearted person who appears to have been mostly on the administrative side of governor rather than politics. Those misadvising him are aware of this weakness and here the destructive roles they are playing. The Governor has to understand that House of Assembly is the legislative arm of the state government and therefore independent of his office which is the executive arm of the state government. Therefore, there is nothing like derecognizing the Rivers Assembly members. What just happened in Edo State and what has happened in some other states in the past are enough for him to know that he does not have power over the House of Assembly. The members are more dangerous to him than he is to them. He may need to withdraw his threat to the Assembly members and find a way to resolve all differences. He may not be able to handle the chaos when it gets worse.

What is happening in Rivers State is really a shame and a manifestation of the greed of the blackman for power at the expense of development. We find this in Togo, Gabon, Cameroon, Zaire etc. A man gets to leadership through an election and decides to manipulate the electoral process to perpetuate himself in power. Wike governed Rivers for 8 good years, if he was not a greedy man, he should have allowed the overall interest of the people of Rivers State to supersede his selfish interest. Democracy can only engender development if those who are practicing it do it with a civilized mind.
Which court is this man talking about? The court in Nigeria is currently a dead institution, its a tool for the president, anybody waiting for the court to interpret anything is wasting his time. They will interpret to fit Tinubu s expectations, there has to be a different way to apply and enforce the law.

I’m very happy that the governor has immunity and can successfully take the following actions; 1. Choose which speaker to recognize until Supreme Court states otherwise. 2. Appoint new commissioners to replace those who resigned and get the recognized leadership of the assembly to screen and approve them 3. Appoint caretaker LG chairmen after the expiration of the tenure of the current chairmen by next month.
And whatever the Supreme Court decides later will not reverse the actions.

With all due respect, Dije is not fair-minded in his thinking. Since my respected President Tinubu came to power, he speaks from both sides of his mouth. He is the one that adds fumes to fire. When Dije lied and said that Masi Nnamdi Kanu got men to carry arms against the state I started wandering about him. He didn't say anything when fulani terrorists go to igbo land with AK 47 unprovoked and slaughtering farmers, youths, raping ladies, and married women and, at times killing them, he didn't say anything.
