I just came back from Tokyo and spent most of my nights in the arcades just like this. Where I live in Canada there are claw machine arcades, but the Japanese UFO catchers are way more fun. 🥰
This was so much fun. We do have these crane games in Vancouver but they're not as elaborate. I've never even tried to play because I can't imagine the patience and skill it takes to play as well as the sense to say when it's time to stop. LOL your excitement was contagious. How wonderful when the sweet gentleman bowed and handed you your prize Jamie.
Oh! You’re from Vancouver! That’s so neat! That’s one place David and I would love to visit one day ❤️ The crane games really are difficult. We try to have fun the whole time but there are definitely frustrating and sad times! Lol
Quick question..do you feel like the games in Japan are " rigged"..meaning claw strength is based on a payout switch. Which can be increased or decreased to make greater profits.. Or are some claws just weak
Yes! The 3 arm claw machines definitely have different settings and the number of tries before you get a strong grab. So I play either hoping I get the lucky timing or have to be willing to spend a certain amount before I win it. I knew the spy family one would take a while because someone had won right before me. For the small prizes you know you’ll get a strong arm within 10 tries if you think it’s worth it to you. We really enjoy the aim and push ones though. Those ones are skill based.
@@ChibiCollection just curious then...if claw strength is based on a payout switch, have you ever considered the "roll technique". I feel way too many players keep reaching for the head..the machine picks it up for a second and randomly drops it. I propose attaching the claw to the body/ somewhere on the right. I feel that way the top heavy plush might " roll" closer to the prize shoot
Shout out to all of the super nice and helpful arcade staff!
Awesome 😎 - going to Japan at the end of the year and can't wait 🎉

Thanks Leo! I haven’t thought about that! We’re going to our local Round One tomorrow so I will definitely try that if there’s a way I can row it!
Did anyone else think this was CDawg? Lmao
