- Come along with me to the 2021 Ohio Renaissance Festival. This Renfest annual event takes place every weekend beginning in August and running through October near Harveysburg in Warren County, Ohio. It was cancelled last year, but it is BACK!
The Ohio Renaissance Festival first began in 1990 and the Renaissance Park encompasses a 30-acre permanent village. It hosts 100 plus shops and features 12 outdoor stages. The pretend 16th-century English village is named Willy Nilly-on-the-Wash! The name suits it since rainy weather can lead to a muddy experience. Appropriate foot gear is something to plan for! The festival highlights performances by period costumed performers set on stages and in the streets. Some of my favorite shows included seeing the Queen and her entourage, the theatre in the Ground, real life jousting and America's Got Talent contestants, the Kamikaze Fireflies! The Festival also has great food options ranging from giant turkey legs to EXCELLENT fish and chips.
During our visit, we encounter more costumed guest than ever before and everyone seemed so happy to be back! The positive mood was contagious and it was the best experience I’ve ever had attending the Ohio Renaissance Festival! www.renfestiva...

I wonder if 3000 years from now of we will be having urban festivals where actors shout, "hey I'm walking here" and everyone eats new york style pizza and hot dogs.
I hope this comes true😂
I enjoy Renaissance festivals. They also always have a great choice of foods. That was a good crowd. Terrific stage show. Thanks Cashew.
Thanks for watching Virginia. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks Sandra. You should go next year.
Thanks for a great video! I haven’t been there for a few years. Always a fun tine. I heard today that they are going to be open for Christmas this year.
Thanks for watching Soulmates. Yes, I also heard that they’re doing something for Christmas this year.
Seems like a rather large event. I wish something like that happened around here close. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for including us on your adventure.
Thanks for watching Teresa. It’s a very large venue.
We are attending this faire for the first time next weekend. I always like to see what it's like from a first person POV inside to get a general idea of the layout. Thanks for the tour!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I love the Renaissance Festival, and miss it very much. I dressed as the Medieval Queen for Halloween, with crown and all👑, and even took my Renaissance Festival mug to drink out of at the gathering I went to. Some of those shows, thankfully go right over kid's heads, but so enjoyable to adults😂 Glad that you had a fun time, and thanks for sharing your adventures🐾🦊🐺
Thanks for watching my adventures, foxy wolf. Hope you and Hok’ee are doing well.
Great job capturing the highlights. I was so blown away by the size of this festival. I never knew how big it was. Definitely need more than one day to see and do it all. I know we missed a lot of shows and a few shops as well. Such a cool and friendly environment.
Thanks Scott. I’m glad you enjoyed the vlog as well as the festival.
Looks like a great time loved all the costumes loves the shows I’ve always wanted to try those wheels looks really cool I’d probably get sick from spinning 🤣😂 Thanks for sharing Cashew
Thanks for watching Kendra. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I have always wanted to attend a Renaissance Festival, but it seems like something always gets in the way. Thanks for sharing, Cashew.
Thanks for watching Sandra. I think you’d enjoy going to one. There’s a lot to see.

A man after my own heart! Fish and Chips! Nothing better for this Scottish - Irish girl! My son our first generation American!
Thanks Janet! I love fish and chips, and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious renaissance festival food can be. It was definitely restaurant quality.
Looks like a lot of fun.
Thanks for watching Mary Max KATS! It was a lot of fun.
I'm so very excited for this year! Last year was my first time attending this one! I went to the one in Arizona every year for the 9 yrs I lived there but I must say I was so impressed after not going to one in almost 4 years! It did get a bit overwhelming with the crowd but this year got the hotel booked and I'm going for 2 days to actually get to see everything and I can't wait! Look for the Pirate in all turquoise with a gold sash!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks for watching as well as the thoughtful comment.
I really enjoyed this video. I loved all the compliments you gave to people. You definitely made them feel great 👍
Thanks Rob. That’s very kind of you.
Looked a fab event, I do hope the fish was a cod with lashing of salt and vinegar with tomato sauce, I'm drooling at the thought
Thanks for watching Graham and Julie. The fish and chips was one of the best I’ve ever had. I was pleasantly surprised. Festival food isn’t always good.
Nice video! We're glad to know the Fair is back on. Your video showed us a lot of great scenes, particularly liked the parades, as it showcases all the costumes. If you're going this year, we'll be there on the Saturday Time Travel Weekend October first! Just look for the Evil Queen and her executioner!
Thanks for watching as well as the kind words.
Very cool costumes
Very nice coverage of the festival. Who are the folks in the parade - performers in the festival or visitors who come dressed in costumes, or both?
Thanks for watching Rocky. I believe they’re a combination of vendors and performers.
Cool coverage of this event cashew Paul some neat performances
Thanks Nathan!
Very cool 😎 show
Looks very similar to our Ren Fest, except that ours is set in the woods on a mountain. So if you’re coming to the Colorado Renaissance Festival, best be prepared for a hike as well!
Thanks for watching! I’ll keep that in mind.
I took my girlfriend to the Ohio renaissance festival this year which I believe was our 3rd time. Despite going in October it was sweltering hot and ridiculously crowded. It took over an hour to get into the park and over 3 hours to get out of the parking area in the evening. People were tolerant with each other but it wasn't as nice and welcoming as my previous visits. The local government needs to improve access to the grounds and the parking situation needs to be completely overhauled.
I hope to attend one of these Someday.🤺
I hope you can Kentucky Girl. They’re a lot of fun.
This was extremely fun to watch...🤗 Looks like an incredibly fun thing to partake in...💯✔ I wanna go to one of these...👌🏼
Thanks The Worst. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
A very epic Shire indeed.
We have FOUR at nanboring Missouri, but yours is very grande.
Thanks Wesley! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
6:36 a very good shot of my brother (the pirate in red with a blue bandana) who’s characters name is oxenham. I went up to see him on Halloween and I had a blast! I still have photos of us and I can’t wait to see him this year!
Thanks for watching, Jolene.
