Great job! Such an old school method of collection! I can easily start by saying this combo is unique in itself, new chassis meets old style body. Surprised that they don’t use something like a Heil 4000 for those tight streets. Can’t imagine how strenuous hauling those trash cans all day must be. A few companies use something similar in Houston but those luckily have wheels haha
Sweet video, I’m so glad you got so many different angles to capture the ins and outs of this route-these guys sure work hard! Love the combo too, the classic feel of the Heil body pairs surprisingly well with the more modern LR, and I’m a pretty big fan of that paint job too. Glad you got the chance to document this!
Spectacular video Nick!! Bay Cities Refuse is such a dope company. Their trucks are all really neat, and their og manual style is very entertaining. They've been a priority of mine to film as well, watching these trucks maneuver through the hills is just great. So glad that you guys filmed this!!
Old school rules! I spent 5 out of 30 years working the Oakland hills and about 75% of the homes had stairs and it was time to put the barrel on your shoulder and go for it.
been waiting to see a modern day video of those pack cans, and they don't got swivel wheels on the bottom either so you're REALLY carrying the weight. paired with the ribbed heil body and it's a nice little blast from the past. makes you appreciate the bone breaking work that most garbage men did throughout the 70s well into the 90s
Wow, this company is so old school when it comes to collection, love it! And the ribbed Heil Formula body on the modern Mack LR is just dope! That Mack LR is something you don't see every day in NorCal so that's a bonus! Would've been more awesome if the body was on an ACX - I'm more of an Autocar guy than a Mack guy, but hey, it works! What other trucks do they run? So glad you guys got this - I hope I can film this company myself sometime in the future!
THIS CONTAINER IS THE PROPERTY OF THE HOUSEHOLD
those backyard shots were second to none. very nice work

Wow. People pay all that money for Cross Fit when they could just do this route and get paid!!! Great catch and great job by the guys on a tough route
that shoulder bin thing must give some back pain! interesting, my grandpa has told me that backyard service was popular back in the day before carts
Awesome! Love the color, and the LR looks amazing with a ribbed body truck.

That's how I started off no wheels spent years in the hills then went to the flat lands area worked my way to other trucks

Can't wait for this to hit the Discovery channel!

This company is so old school. Carrying a large bin on your back full of trash is something that is mostly gone.
Yea, because it’s horse shit to do.
