    My wife and I will be on cruise departing from Yokohama this autumn. Before getting on the ship, we will be staying in Tokyo (near Tokyo station) for couple days. I know there are few local trains running from Tokyo Station to Yokohama. But because we have to carry two mid-size luggage with us, what would be the easiest way to travel from Tokyo Station to Yokohama other than by taxi with luggages?

    Hi John, with all the different cards which is most convenient for people who are just visiting Tokyo for a couple of weeks: posmo, ITOCA, ... watching this video we may also take a day tour to Yokohama.

    • @rickyrubia7276
      @rickyrubia7276 5 лет назад

      I was in Tokyo last week, I used PASMO card but you can use Suica card as well if you like. They're basically the same. The only difference I think is when you want a refund when you leave Japan, the Suica card attracts a processing fee. You can get a Pasmo or a Suica card at the train station in Narita Airport; the train station is a FLOOR BELOW the arrival gate. At the train station, there are 2 main gates. The one to the right (Green) is where you can get your Suica cards from one of their machines there. Whereas if you like to purchase the Pasmo Card, which I did, go to the gate to your left; there are machines there where you can purchase the Pasmo card and you can choose to have your name printed on your card as well. Just in case you lost your card, you can easily replace it with a new one; getting back all the money that's left in your account. In case you need forex, the one at the train station close to the JR gate has got good rates. Don't use Travellex, they're a rip off. P.S. You can load up cash as much as you want on your Pasmo or Suica card and use it to pay for your purchases at almost all stores in Tokyo (Tap card to Pay). Always carry cash in Yen all the time. Some stores only accept cash.
      I just used Google Maps to navigate around Tokyo. It's really very reliable and it'll tell you how much it'll cost you to go from point A to point B; I always use the cheaper train based on the Google map recommendations when I commute. Signages and markings and colour codings are all over the place at the train stations plus your Google maps, you won't get lost.

    • @farshidhashemi7061
      @farshidhashemi7061 5 лет назад

      Wow! Thank you Ricky for the detailed info. That explains it. Last time I got the Suica and I did have to pay a fee. And my wife lost hers which meant we lost the money we had left. I will purchase a PASMO and personalize it this time. Really appreciate the info.

    John love your vids watch all the time, mostly want to see food but all the rest is a bonus. I use my husbands email my name is Kathy, my nieces and I are coming to Japan and I just don’t know where to start even though I’ve watched your tours. We want to experience Ryokan bath house house have a private room have all the wonderful food. I know these are expensive so one night in one prefecture one in another, my nieces are young adults but they want to visit Bunny and Kitty island. I guess what I’m getting at should we plan our own trip and forgo the travel tourist groups? For two two weeks and three people will 10,000.00 be sufficient? Can we stretch it to three weeks? We plan on coming in the fall. Your thoughts 💭 and suggestions will be appreciated. Greetings from Montana 🤠 Kathy

    1 Paying it forward, came out in 2000 spot on about us but we also build wealth alongside
    2 Worrier Kevin calls me rain man to others, that ask about me knowing that he known me over 30 years brilliant in building business and wealth, a wreck with most everything else I feel wrecked is a little strong but. Nailed it
    Watch them and you'll understand us and myself

    John. I wish you would do a vlog “ remain on board”, there is much more to the Tokyo subway then is on the standard map. You indirectly
    covered this on the Yokohama station video but for visitors it needs to be exposed and explained. Also do a series of videos how to use the subway tourist ticket, 1500 yen for three days is the best bargain in Tokyo. Call the video you do not need to go to the tourist traps ,here is where locals go. please do more informative videos out of Tokyo, Chiba, Chiba monorail next
    Thanks
    Larry
    CNBC the leading business tv station has no stringer in Tokyo, they had to use The NY Times correspond to cover the Carlos ghosen release, you could explain Japanese justice much better than mrich

      Interesting - I’m sure I’d do my best but not sure where’d I’d find the time to do this and more outside work. I still have several clients who do work for / advise. Worth a shot :) thanks again Larry!! Will try to cover more on this over time. -John

    John and Kenai I apologize for not introducing myself, my business cards read Otaku Christian Warrior and my team had a good laugh at my rudeness to you and your wife. They said I sounds by like a crazy you tube watcher/stalker that’s why they laughed. We are a group of investor that live to pay it forward. I have asked them if they see your otaku or passion. John you’re passion and your gift of paying it forward Thu your actions and words are your super power. Ok John sit down we build millionaires with our money that our super power not one penny from you ever. We take the stress and worries of money away so you can be at the next level. All we ask is when we are done you take your new gift and pay it forward. I will gift you the funds to start and teach you the way to pay it forward about 2 minutes a day max most of the time nothing but doing what you love to do looking whom to pass this along. As you have already paid to me thru your videos. I am impressed by you power. You are scared I know, as was I when I joined. As it was paid forward to me. We can change the world. Our group dose not see color, race, age, Borders as these are mans walls. We don’t get involved in politics or religion not that it’s not important to us it’s not our otaku. I been asked to teach the NFL about this, I’m not interested. They keep adding zeros to a check they what to give me. It’s like offering you more food to eat when you’re stuffed. John money is a tool that it. As is a wrench is to a makanic. I have no super power when it come to typing I’m just a man. Stop scratching your head looking at disbelief. You can gift this to 10 people and one total stranger that will pay it forward. Well you’re my stranger I can stand next to you and you would have no clue who I am. Watch out we’re all over the place/world begging to pay it forward. Super chat lol that’s only money a tool. My gift to you is freedom for life just promise to pay it forward as I know you will. Have a great day and better tomorrow I will see you soon. Thinking about who you Going to giving this to and whom with they pass it on too. So stop looking around we change lives so will you. Peter hold on we’re coming for you to join also I ask another warrior to look in on his videos and see his passion and love for others. We will give you the power, money, and tools to build millionaires.
    Hour later my wife said to me did you tell kenai it all above board, it’s all legal, warriors don’t break laws. So this went on and on. Ok we do not break laws, we are leaders paying forward everyday in every way. Other warriors will also make sure you never fail. This is just a gift from one person to another paying forward. You can walk with your head high and proud. So a jokester warriors called me and said we should set up a game with a lie detour for John and Peter to have fun with. Question come from your views, family’s, friends, knowing this is all in fun so no one get hurt. Few brewski and turn the machine on and the craziness begins Lol the question come out of a bowl and no one has a clue what may come out, wild fun. Life’s a big game. Don’t leave this world with dreams, leave this world with memories. Live everyday to the fullest. We give the gift of freedom from the shackles money causes, John stop looking at the screen and saying is this really going to happen, my word is better then any contact that could be sighed,
    Your nothing without your word. No amount of money can replace that.
    Well it’s pm in Arizona that’s were my family calls home. Three other warriors called today for around the world to tell me about there fun paying it forward. One made a 1.5 million deal happen today with a few other warriors help him. Lifting him up to help more people. That’s just another day around here. Good night and yes we’re are coming soon and the mega Starbucks is in my eye sight. Other have told me about these rosters locations in Seattle, and China.
