Good morning. After seeing all your episodes and the changes you make, (in a good way) I give you a clue for your secalcos, inspired by the Douro Vinhateiro. If you are, I advise you to invest in planting strawberry trees. From what I know, these lands are very good for this crop and the result could be good over time. They will be able to obtain a final product; after being refined into, "medrono brandy". It is highly sought after and expensive. I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year. Greetings.
The reason why people do not grow them commercially is because the trees do not produce a lot of fruit compared to other crops. It is very labor intensive and the trees take up a lot of space in order to be able to create a finished product at a commercial scale. Also the fruit is very perishable and delicate. That is why you see that people usually only have a couple of strawberry trees. Just for personal use.
@@insAneTunA True! They are very delicate fruits. When I made this suggestion, it was based on a TV program in the agricultural sector, in which an heir, after the death of his father, carried out this cultivation, tearing the hills into dry lands and planting strawberry trees, as in this area of Monchique there is and comes from that the good medronho brandy, I thought it was a good suggestion. Have a good Christmas and continue your works, which I appreciate.
