Saw someone mention that the storm happening is only in his mind, but in the end the buns are soggy in real life, showing our thoughts and mental health have a real effect on everything and everyone around us. Amazing metaphor Tyler also has an opportunity to tell Josh that he’s stuck in a loop and ask for his help, but he keeps trying to tackle the problem by himself. And Josh is just flipping his shrinking burger patiently waiting for his friend to join him This song and video are so good
@@BeersBarsStart with blurryface and trench honestly. The lore and music is so good between those two albums. Especially trench the music videos and music too are amazing.
I'm a huge rap fan, and I know twenty one pilots isnt just rap/hip hop but I do think the lead singer tyler has one of the best pen games, theres so many layers and doubles you can pick up on
Same! My ‘usual’ music taste is almost exclusively hiphop, especially UK Grime, ‘lyrical’ rap etc. I saw tøp at a festival years ago - they played in one of tents and I went in to shelter from the rain! (Typical UK weather!) I was blown away!!! Such great writing and production choices! There are a couple of tracks that mainstream rappers would struggle with - The Levitate beat is so unusual and hard, I think lots of them would struggle to sound as good as Tyler does on it.
I’m hearing Blurry Face’s voice coming from the kid, makes sense with the question the kid asks “is that a stain?” Knowing he (Blurry Face) did that to him. Notice the small sign on the stand under the .75 sign says “or a hamburger bun”. The bread represents Tyler’s creativity and him constantly redoing his songs/ beats b/c he’s never satisfied which represents him taking a bite and throwing a bun away, just my thoughts….
I definitely think the “I should’ve loved you better” line is referring to his younger self. I think that kid is a representation of that too! I could be wrong 🥲
If you guys want a synopsis on the storyline, then I HIGHLY suggest watching the “I Am Clancy” video they made. Also important to note that this song and MV has a lot of references to the lore and their past MVs.
The TOP journey is fantastic! This album (Clancy) is the final chapter of a storyline that crosses over multiple albums. They will be releasing videos for every song on the album, which will be really exciting! Honestly it could easily be a movie 🍿 But ultimately it’s a representation of Tyler’s mental health. Never-ending cycles is a consistent theme throughout, so this video is a loop that Tyler can’t seem to break. This was Josh Dun’s directorial debut. He did a great job! He’s the drummer, but more importantly he is Tyler’s rock and anchor. He will always be there for Tyler, no matter how long it takes for him to bring the buns 😹 Ned is the character on the buns and he represents Tyler’s creativity. So I believe that is the metaphor. The video for Chlorine introduces Ned. And a lot of people believe the kid at the lemonade stand is a younger version of Tyler. So he’s reflecting back. Even riding the bike through the neighborhood is a call back to Stressed Out, which is a nostalgic look back at when life was so much simpler. Now he’s drowning in logistics. TOP created a storyline playlist on their channel and the “I Am Clancy” album teaser gives a narration/overview of the characters and the timeline to help people catch up and understand the basics of the lore.
The new album is out now, and it is absolute PERFECTION!!! I promise you would would not regret checking it out, if you haven't yet.or just their whole discography, really. They truly are some of the best doing it right now, and I'm so glad you're having so much fun checking out their incredible music! ❤️
I heard the first two singles for Clancy and I was hooked. Son (8) and I both started listening to all their stuff together and discovering them with each other. Listened to the album and watched all the videos together. It's been fun. We sing together driving him to school every morning.
Get the album-May 24th. They’re actually releasing a music video for EVERY song on the album, so you should just plan to react to them all! Loved the reaction guys, keep ‘em coming for a new subscriber! 🔥 😉
Before I even get into the reaction, just basing off the title. Hell yes you should go down the rabbit hole. Serious topics and a positive message. Definitely worth it.
Album comes out May 24... you never know what you'll get song to song with them bc they mix all kinds of genres together All 13 songs on the album will have a music video (and rumor is one of them will have 2 videos)
he has a demon inside called Blurryface. his paint is his anxiety and fears. The kid is blurryface in another form. He is unsure of his anxieties and doesn't want to go back and take him down. lots of symbolism and meaning between his songs. Heavydirtysoul leads to Jumpsuit, Nico and the Niners, Levitate, The Outside, Overcompensate....etc...
I don't have enough knowledge to answer this question so I asked the TOP experts. This was what they told me. "Heavydirtysoul, Trench Trilogy(Jumpsuit, Nico and the Niners, Levitate), Chlorine, Shy Away, Saturday, Outside, Overcompensate for a lore deep dive. In general, Stressed Out, Car Radio, Next Semester, Backslide, Neon Gravestones, Ode to Sleep" ~JLAndersonMusic "For general music, start from Vessel and go from there. I feel that older albums like self-titled and RAB(Regional at Best) need to be introduced after having a general knowledge of the band's style. In regards to lore: Start with "I am Clancy", then the entirety of Blurryface, Trench, SAI, and Clancy MVs. Then towards the DMAORG website and the tøp DMAORG wiki (created by fans) which documents the lore and the temporary changes made to the website (such as the site deactivation, etc.)" ~Dema
i'm sitting in bed with a cold after a kid at work was coughing all over me the other day so know what you mean abot kids spreading all the germs, glad to have your reaction to distract me! love this song! you should check out their other single from this album Next Semester or their video 'I am Clancy' for an overview of the story they're telling in their songs and videos.

Yea, jump in, it’s deep and you’ll see how much was missed on your review.. there are layers, down to the garbage bin outside the store, there’s a symbol on it.. there are holes within the rabbit hole.. to me there are signs that this could be their last album, hope I’m wrong. Enjoy.
What stout you drinking? I see the bottle and maybe it isnt even a stout has a bit of amber in it.. you drinking a flemish brown or red? Also these guys have never been about money. They are about spreading mental health awareness imo.

@BeersBars Vessel is definitely where I would start. But to be honest you can skip around if ur just interested in the music.

Their music is so heavily connected and lyrically is very good
