Mr. G is right, I had depression since childhood & was diagnosed by a psychiatrist & put on anti-depression meds for 10 years as an adult in my 40's. But when I went on a weight lose journey & started exercising, I quit all medications & all I did was to exercise everyday. Now even the psychiatrist agreed I don't need any meds & needed close to no consultancy, just exercise, go out in the sunlight for an hour a day & don't let anybody bother you. Medication only make things worst & I became fat, slept all day & all dazed from over drugged.
47:00 I am a respiratory therapist. I have NEVER put a patient on a vent that could breathe without it. I was NEVER told to put a pt on one to make more money. Greg was still on the vent in all likelihood as he was still recovering from anesthesia and they were likely waiting for extubation orders and waiting for an available RT(as Dr.'s and or an RT is needed to remove an ET tube, nurses do not typically have that as one of their responsibilities) and as you can imagine RT's are pretty busy these days and are generally understaffed even worse than nursing. NO ONE involved wants pt's on the vent as they are a HUGE pain in the ass and drastically increase the work-load per pt. We DO NOT put pt's on them lightly and do everything in our power to get you off as quickly as possible. Being a pt sucks no two ways about it but some pt's act like they are the only ones in the hospital when chances are Greg was going to have the ETT removed as soon as a qualified practitioner became available. 95% of us are trying our best to do our jobs and take great care of our patients in a system that only gets more fucked up every time the government gets involved in "fixing it."
Honestly this is the best show of the week. This past year was so depressing but watching a close group of friends having coffee talk. Reminiscing about funny adventures. Tackling on serious issues and offering help. I hope you guys keep this show goong on. Tyler's laughs in the background are hilarious too. All the best in 2021

John's 100% correct about the Clinical Depression, it's a chemical imbalance. If it's enough out of balance the person needs to be watched or they'll very probably do what they need to do to make it stop. All the logic in the world doesn't work, because at that point rationality is as out the window as begging your out of gas vehicle to run on water because you're stranded in the middle of nowhere in a blizzard. Mr.G's heart is totally in the right place intention wise, but sadly he's in the dark about horrible reality of this sickness.
Mr g is spot on about mindset , learn to love yourself and the universe , we are all connected to everyone and everything by consciousness , believe in a higher power , pray, work on your spirit, when u think what’s that point of life it leads to darkness and death that is depression

I live in Clearwater Florida just got off the phone with my son who lives in Toronto and I feel so guilty that I live down here and he's up there paying high taxes and dealing with the winter and I'm originally from Syracuse and I was just telling them how it was when I lived up there when I was a young kid but I would say Greg pack your s*** and move South because that's ridiculous money to be spending but it isn't all fun and sun in Florida either believe me unless you're going to be on vacation the rest of your life

I was in the hospital kid jumped off the Ringling bridge in Sarasota person could get eaten by sharks? get caught in a crosscurrent riptide drown in the gulf of mexico? kid said he was sore, they evaluated him ...the water it was nine months ago cold. said he brought cheeseburgers from a buddy ate em when he got out the water before cops were called and they arrested baker acted him to Bayside mental hospital in ambulance to the hospital to be checked and mentally evaluated. crazy
John is right about depression I know I’ve had it since I was a teenager I don’t know why I’m depressed It’s like your in a deep dark hole It’s the worst pain You are constantly trying to snap out of it But it’s always there even while your smiling and joking with those around you
