"A Dollar"- A One Act Play

A Dollar is a one act play written in 1920 by playwright David Pinski. In this production a troupe of traveling actors stops at a crossroads in the woods and quarrel over a dollar found under a member’s satchel. A power struggle arises between the Villain and the Comedian as to who is the leader of the group. Supported by the Tragedian, the Heroine, the Old Man, and the Ingenue, the group argues, celebrates, and eventually mourns their finding of a dollar.
