I think we've got a lot more strength in depth, a lot of super talented youth. The interchange bench is going to be busy. Greene reminds me of John Kennedy Jnr. I love this squad. Well done SAM and your assistants. Awesome job. There's a couple of new players that are going to be instant super stars. Really!
Just on last nights match Mackenzie, Weddle & Huswaite should debut R1, all looked so impressive using their strengths which we’ve lacked in our Midfield past several years & Amon adds so much class, Greene is hard to match up on with his aerial & running capabilities & Meek/Reeves is a great combo they looked dangerous resting deep too.
How did Jack O'Sullivan go? Had a couple of nice highlights, looks promising and by all accounts is a very hard worker. Think with Lewis out they will play Reeves and Meek rotating forward. I think it cost us a couple of close games last year when we didn't have the second ruck. Amon was a great get, classy. He was one that l was hoping the Hawks would pick up in the last couple of years. I think Greene will surprise more than a few people, have enjoyed watching him playing for Box Hill, hard match up. Love Sam's vision for the Hawks, lot of dare and speed in the game style and looks like a bit of that hardness has returned that we have lacked recently.
@@jeritron74 O’Sullivan started in the “Brown” team so he didn’t see much of the ball come his way 1st qr but what he did do was promising, highlight of the match was when he took a specky in the last qrt , kicked a few goals, attacks the player & ball hard , little pocket rocket who’s tough & loves to tackle . Meek/Reeves both started in the Gold team , Reeves taking the first bounce while Meek playing deep forward next to Kosi at FF, Both played well Reeves easing his way back from shoulder surgery took a few strong grabs & Meek also marked strongly provided a real strong physical presence & that’s why I think they’re a good tag-team , if they were just Ruckman who couldn’t play forward I’d be worried but both looked dangerous when they were in the goal square . Greens been a star at BH anyone who kicks over 80 goals in about 26 matches can play - he was too much for the inexperienced Brown team defenders, was clearly best aerialist on the ground & he’s up there with the best dozen at the club for his running capabilities, had a massive tank on him that’s why he’s so hard to match up on. I’ve always liked Amon too think he’s in the best 3 wingman in comp along with Mcluggage & Smith, Amon’s first few kicks were just all class, pinpoint accuracy, beautifully weighted kick short then a thumping penetrating 55 M pass to a forward who didn’t have to break stride. He’ll at minimum add 400 m gained per game & he’s so good with kicking off one step gets so much penetration he’s another impact player we have in the Mid. Mackenzie nearly single handedly got the Brown team back into the match bin 2nd qrt, this kid won so many centre clearances in 2nd qrt but the way he won ball was impressive, in tight & close his clean, smart & makes the right decisions under pressure, even when he was tackled his clearance work & follow up work was good, he knows how to hit targets & kicking it to teammates advantage. Weddle is a different player , physically looks like a 10 yr player already & this kid has everything & can be anything, he can kick both sides of body, knows how to tackle & hard & like CJ has speed to burn, he played on Amon in 2nd half on the wing & I saw Amon bending down , hands on knees gasping for air while Weddle was upright after sprinting 50 metres daring opponents to catch him which they couldn’t, that last qrt when most players slowed down & feeling the heat, Weddle looked like he could run a marathon after the match he is super fit & physically has all the tools to play anywhere on the ground. Ward also was super impressive, played for the Gold team & ran, ran & ran getting heaps of the ball & using it with quality possessions, CJ looks like he’s going next level, back to his scintillating best where like Weddle takes on the opposition which I love , took a few strong grabs & looked in super form. Moore is A-grade & was BOG set the Gold team up first half, was running bween half forward, wing, centre he was all over the place looked superb & Nuke 🚀 🚀 did what Nuke 🚀 🚀 does best , powering his way out of the middle & setting up play & teammates up the ground , think he’ll be in top 5 for Brownlow this year he’ll go to another level. Impey too was great he played for the Gold team & nothing past him , played half back & looks as sharp & fast as his ever been, laid a few strong tackles too one on Nuke 🚀 🚀 which surprised me bringing the big, powerful bull down & getting a free kick, he appears to be much stronger which I’d great cause he’s back to his best.

Not only cheeky but he’s tough & attacks the player & ball hard, when Day got the ball at half-back O’Sullivan came out of nowhere like a Cheetah preying on his next kill, pounced on him & awarded the free kick. Think it won’t be long before he debuts.
What really stood out was the difference in kicking ability- Worpel sadly after all these years doesn’t lower his eyes & when he does still can’t hit targets- Worpels first 4 kicks were all turnovers whereas Nuke 🚀 🚀, Moore, Amon, Nash, Mackenzie, Huswaite, Weddle, Day, Bramble, Ward, C-Mac, Butler & O’Sullivan all know how to kick. The only players on the list now who can’t hit targets are Worpel & Frost so the turnovers are going to be much less than previous years when Mitchell had no penetration & JOM was ok but nothing compared to these new kids on the list
Must need amon, meek, weddle, brocky Mackenzie and fergs in round 1 because these guys are amazing.
Love seeing all the new guys getting involved!!
Why would you click bait us like that??
Dw, you’ll see plenty of unsociableness during the year 😤

Instant lock in for Weddle, Greene, Mackenzie, O’Sullivan
Edit: Hustwaite also very impressive too
No heat here.

Weddle really making it hard for Mitch not to pick him come round 1
Looking forward to what’s coming up in the future 💛🤎
Good to see👍🏾👍
Skill level looking good!
Dimma up forward?? 👌
Karl looks sharp.
Kane Cornes said Hawks won't win more than six games this year. Prove him wrong , boys! Double that six and sneak into the final eight!
He's a flog. A wannabe shock jock.

Sorry to be that guy, but that music is like nails on a chalk board. Please 🙏 Stop.
Go Hawks!
