Passing 5C is not on my radar. I would have splintered initially - this hand looks like a min game raise to me - and if it then went 5C-p-p back to me I would likely double with the red suit defense; but p should be doubling in front of me I think with a min flat defensive hand. I don't know how it only went -1 :)

Spade Lead because I showed support in spades. Partner expected me to have a spade honor which is more than fair. Yea, your analysis is better. I should splinter. And even after the 5C I should bid again because my partner has 12 HCP at least and they ain't gonna be club honors.
