I've been watching TB for a couple years now, and I think this is among your best videos yet. It just bursts with personality and quirkiness. And, it features much better camera work than usual. Keep up the great work, guys!
+TechnoBuffalo m3 or i5? I will be needing to open a couple tabs on google chrome, a couple of office programs at once like word, ppt, and outlook, listen to music and want lots of battery
+Aaron Trinh that's more ram capacity issue. In my opinion, you don't need a really powerful processor to do word processing, or powerpoint etc, but it wouldn't hurt to future proof a little to get an upgrade in the processing department
Gaming on the Surface Pro series has always been weird, you CAN do it, just don't expect 4k Battlefield 4. With the SP2 drop the game settings to 720p mid-high and you can run things like Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Sonic Generations, Tales of Zestiria pretty darn well. It's always the res being an issue. Again, not meant for gaming but you can pull it off. With my experience with the Pro 2 you can easily do photoshop, Flash, manga studio while doing music or video streaming for 5-6 hours (The SP4 will likely do longer than that) with large 600DPI files. I've said it before, the Surface is the best series for artists. Devices where you work with the pen right on the screen are ALL expensive, Surface happens to be cheaper...Considering that if you wanted a 13inch cintiq that requires it to be hooked up to a PC with a breakout box - this alone costs $1k and is not portable. Vs 1k and you get a portable device that's got better color accuracy and resolution. Expensive? Yep, overpriced ...not so much.
Hi there, can I ask you a question? I'm a complete PC noob, so do you know how Surface Pro 4 stacks up for gaming? I'm looking for an ultra-portable device for Steam. I'm not necessarily talking about 'heavy' gaming like GTA5 or The Witcher 3, but I am talking about games like The Binding of Isaac, Broforce, Nuclear Throne and other similar indies. That being said, I've always wanted to check out out Dota 2. If Surface Pro 4 isn't for me, what is? I have a PS4 and PS Vita, but I hate being tied to the living room TV with the console, and the handheld just doesn't have the power or the library. Unfortunately, Remote Play isn't the answer. Particularly considering the fact that with early access etc, Steam is such a vibrant arena for the indie scene.
Simon Potticary SP4 handles those games just fine, you can use a PS4 controller with no wire or adapter and it'll do it well. Some 3D games will work fine too, Sonic Generations, Torchlight 2, Borderlands2. Look up the YT channel SurfaceProGamer, he shows what works and how well.
Carl Shaw Has the latest intel skylake chip and PCIe SSD and it's oudated? Has in built pen technology that would cost 1k alone with a cintiq but you can get it inbuilt to the device for the same price? Be sure to share with the rest of us something that has this and more for the same price.
***** I'm glad you've got nothing but marketing myths to back up your boasts. BSD, Crash and optional browsers are the best you have? Macs have viruses, otherwise there wouldn't be a Anti-Virus made by Apple :) Macs also have crashes, it's the nature of software. The problem with the argument you copy-pasted into this discussion is: Macbook doesn't have a pen interface nor a touch interface, it's a different device for different purposes. So while it's a fine device, did you want a pen interface for your macbook? That's 1000 dollars to do that and it's not portable. It's a Wacom Cintiq, feel free to look it up, it's a really nice device, but that tech is built in with the Surface Pro 4 There's a variety of tablets that aren't made by microsoft such as vaio, asus, samsung, HP, Lenovo that have a variety of configurations and specifications. So, while you keep focusing on the 1 company that makes stuff while trying to call others fanboys, the rest of us will be open minded and look for the machine that suits us and not the one company that suits you.
Why wouldn't you mention that the better 4 typecover is backwards compatible to the Surface 3! Rarely found in the tech world, Microsoft should be applauded for backwards compatibility!!
+Icarus975 yes, but you can buy just as powerful and ever more powerfulll laptop for alot less, www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=i7+ssd+laptop
+Nathan Jones I will look into that thanks but I just like the surface pro more because it's more portable. But I will still look into this laptop you recommend so thanks!
Great, in depth review! As someone with a Surface Pro 3, I'm seriously considering upgrading for the lighter weight and to never hear that fan again. I just wish the battery was longer.
I really like the new review format. It's relaxed yet still very informative, compact and well thought out. Clean, well edited, smart... Shooting with perspective and showing more space has a great effect (although at the moment I can't really tell why!!) Keep up the good work!
because they'd have to make many more considering all the colors they have, plus, it'll be more expensive because they have to include the various colored keyboards and all that, it's cheaper to sell them separately and save the trouble of having to package and produce all the packaging and marketing
oh my God I love this review, it's so rich and alive it's not at all some hands over a dead screen, I got to see the device being used in a real environment
I have the old surface pro 2, and i'm a architect and interior designer, and it Handel the job veeeery well, I already did some rendering with good quality when I had to show to a client. So I think the pro 4 supports easily the job. I just don`t know if I upgrade to the pro 4 or the surface book. But as always, awesome review!
Hello Daniel. I am an interior designer too, I need a mobile friendly laptop like this, but I am thinking if it works well on rendering basically for design and all.
The most expensive model of iPad pro is $1079 without accessories so that's not true. I'll grant you that the most expensive model Surface pro 4 is twice as much as the most expensive iPad pro, but with the intro models, that's not the case.
Probably Microsoft's best comeback ever! I am currently using an iPod Touch 5th generation, my laptop has broken down and I just happen to be an aspiring artist. I think this would be perfect for me! I'm hoping the high end model will run The Sims 4 on the highest settings smoothly. :-)
Nicely edited video and great review. My wife is starting medical school and I am going to look into getting her a Surface 4. I don't think there are too many better options for a student.
I don't even want to hear it. To spend this much on a device you'd want longevity out of it. USB C is the future and it's available now so not putting it on everything is only delaying progress.
Was playing Bloons tower defense 5 on my surface pro 4 for half and hour and the computer started getting hot af and I could hear the fans going crazy inside.
I'm eagerly waiting for mine to come next month! For those who don't know, the i7 variants come out on November 20th. My Surface Pro 2 has served me well, but it's time that I move to that 3:2 form factor.
I've had my Surface Pro 4 for 5 months now. This is literally the BEST laptop/tablet that I've ever own. The ONLY issue that I hate the most about the Surface Pro 4 is the battery life and you have to carry the charger with you no matter where you go. I'm an Electronic Engineering major and doing lab reports, drawing up circuit boards, taking notes, and etc-etc has been an amazing experience. I will definitely buy(if they make one) a Surface Pro 5.
I have a surface pro 4 and I love it XD I also love how it knows when you flip the keyboard back so it shuts the keyboard off so you don't accidentally press anything
+James Roper definitely the macbook pro, I know some people who have the surface and when they have to take notes in class, it doesn't feel as solid as typing on a full fledged laptop cause it feels like it can slip off of your lap much easier than a laptop. Also, if you don't really use the pen, then there is no point of getting the surface. If you HAVE to have windows, then I would say go for the surface, but if that doesn't matter, then a standard laptop in the MacBook Pro is a very solid option.
+Kevin Liu if you are taking notes, handwriting is better and faster. People who take notes in class by typing are seriously annoying. You ruin the quiet atmosphere. Just my two cents. Seriously, the Surface can at least recognize your handwriting and convert it to text.
+Novashadow115 taking notes on a surface with the pen still doesn't have the same speed as a traditional pen and paper. Let's say I'm taking notes in math, I would much rather use my pen and paper compared to a surface due to the speed and accuracy. Also, let's say I'm in a psych tutorial where I just need to write words that the prof says. Typing on my laptop would be so much more faster when it comes to text. To each their own, but these are the reasons why I went away from the surface pro line
Just got my surface pro 4 a week ago, honestly I love it. I'm a Mac fan all the way but needed a Windows machine for school. Yeah I could've gone cheaper but I really wanted a surface pro since the 3. I haven't used my apple devices at all in the last week. Highly recommend to anyone on the fence!
I absolutely LOVE my SP3. One of the things I love about it most is the incredible screen. How can the SP4 have an even better screen?! It must be incredible; I can't wait to get infront of one. Great video technobuffalo!! :)
Hey, long time subscriber here. I like your videos very relaxing and informative at the same time. Just one thing tho, the shot that shows your big sneaker flicking in front of the camera is a little distracting... hope you could do that less in future videos.
funny you said that, in my opinion it was not something notable, but I did notice at one point and thought what kind of sneakers are those so I could buy some, cool sneakers jon.
I came really close to getting a surface book, but the screen wobble , lack of kickstand for the tablet component+battery life was just not for me. All I wanted was a surface pro with a proper keyboard hinge and extra ports..
Really liked what you guys did in this review. Looks very polished and very thought out. Definitely gave a different feel to review videos. Really appreciate the quality. Great job!
***** I dont know about arkham knight, but arkham city runs on the surface pro 3. Low-mid details...actually i think u can play better with it as TB is saying in the vid.
+Rob Mey I haven't played Arkham city on my SP3 but I have run Arkham Asylum. That ran surprisingly well. The reason I think it can run Arkham Knight (i7 with Iris graphics) is because the one of the biggest improvements in skylake processors is integrated graphics up to twice the performance has been seen between skylake and the previous generation.
I have ran arkham city and asylum on intel hd 3000 integrated graphics, just the reviewer said during the review at 3:00 "Play some arkham knight if you want to" and i just wanted to make sure no one will get their hopes up, arkham knight simply crushes and will continue to crush any integrated hd graphics by intel for the next couple of years atleast. the lowest settings use 2gb of vram.
pro 5 is most likely to come on october so I would wait for that because it may come with a new useful feature, and If not, the pro 4 will still drop its price
I have a few questions: 1. Why type cover rather than a bluetooth keyboard? I think it is nicer to have the screen and the keyboard separated. Maybe it is a matter of taste, but I don't get the advantage of the type cover compared to a separate keyboard. 2. What about using it with a docking station in order to connect it to two monitors? How well does that work? 3. What about the noise? A colleague has one and when you open 4 youtube videos it starts making a lot of noise. Is there some way to to prevent this? Is see people posting: you should undervolt it. some links and experiences would be helpful. 4. What about the M3 model? It seems most reviews are not even considering to test it. It is cheaper. It has no fan. Only question: How well does it perform. I guess 90% of the customers are not heavy gamers of video editors. Will it become slow, if I open 5 youtube videos on HD for example? Will it support two monitors? thanks for answers Till
Ever heard of an Antivirus software? Clearly your a fanboy. Macs can get viruses too, Windows computers have more software for them and way more options than a mac. But windows is the prime option for almost all software so you can do a lot more on a Windows computer than apple computer. Macs are so overpriced too, for half the price of a 15 inch MacBook Pro you can get similar to better specs, similar design, and more productivity, utility, and software options, in a Windows comouter. Vista was considered by many people (including me) the worst windows OS ever. If anything apple is trying to catch up to Microsoft.. Lets please not start a flame war after this comment...
+BxGirlRN Blazin' I am not upgrading to Windows X, the even versions are dicy. I think 9 would have been the best so far. I look forward to all the new features in Windows XI though.
I'm very surprised that you didn't review the built in "Windows Hello" biometric verification. It's one of the most important features. Would you mind doing a video on it?
A most informative video, helping me to buy a used Surface Pro 4. Your assistants, i.e., French Bulldog and associate, were a very nice touch. I ended up buying a i7-6650U with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. Thank you.
+Aquins Varghese Why? touchscreen, being able to write notes and also record lectures then later sync it up to your phone or any other digital devices so you don't have to carry your laptop. You can even take a screen shot at your textbooks and make any notes or marks so that you can sell your textbook later.
+Michael Kartawidjaya but does that justify the price? A macbook pro/air, will get more resale value, battery life, a pro can handle heavy work load, a better keyboard and track pad.
+Aquins Varghese Surface pro 4 really is the best device for school ! You can take notes on it, view lecture notes, you can film the whole class while your typing your thoughts, there is no better way to read pdfs than this, a touchscreen enables it to be the best of bests for this matter. And also if you want compute power, why don't get the 16gb RAM, i7 version ? that's more performant than the most powerful (13') MBP, since it ships with Skylake processors. So yes, this device is really really made for a college student.
It's great for someone who travels a lot and wants to have the best of both worlds: a tablet and a laptop. Surface Pro is the best when it comes to OS (desktop grade OS and apps) it is easy on productivity and getting stuff done (you can't say that about any iPad or Android tablets).
+Farzana Fatema Don't waste your money on ipad unless you just want a toy. Had an ipad air 2 for about 24 hours once. Realized my mistake and took it back to get my money back.
Cham Pua I don't play game , i have my own business + I'm doing Nursing, So I need a device that can handle both.. Well i got the surface but returned it because the battery is REALLY BAD ,,
Really ? i think it's can do at least 5 hour for normal work and 8 hour for light work. Or maybe u just get a bad unit try another one. It's can Plug into wall and work for straight 24 hour anyway , so battery isn't real problem.
I know that feeling. I was obsessed with the Apple iPad pro for a while, but now I'm getting the SP4 i5 version, it's beautiful and is more faster and capable of doing office work
It's not the laptop of the future, its not even the tablet of the future. It's a laptop without a keyboard and a kickstand. Surfacebook on the other hand is closer to what i consider the future of laptops, just get rid of windows and put in a modern OS. Some Linux/Unix based platform.
Hi bought this for my photo booth , love it , pricey yes but as in the video it looks and runs excellent , don't forget you have to buy a usb hub since it comes with only 1 3.0 usb port
The damn great thing about this device is that it is cool and actually is very useful, you're getting a powerful laptop, a tablet, a good gaming machine, portability, and you don't have to spend 50 dollars for a drawing tablet or 300 for a Wacom if you're a professional.
Ahh I'm back. I left technobuffalo before because of the too long reviews usually caused by too much jokes or sidetracking. Now it feels so much more professional but still has that TB friendly vibe. I like it, Subbed back :D
Really enjoyed watching the video! The scenery was really nice, felt really friendly and welcoming. John has a likeable, calm and friendly way of presenting things and this was no exception.
planning on purchasing surface pro for uni but stuck between 2 choices; Surface pro 4- 128GB / Intel i5 - 4GB RAM £849.00 vs surface pro 3- 256GB / Intel i5 / 8GB RAM £929.00 mainly use it for Microsoft office but sometimes i do light photo editing with Photoshop ( no video rendering) and might want to try playing dota2/skyrim on it. what do you think?
256GB/i5/8GB RAM significantly more expensive than 128GB/i5/4GB RAM - is it worth it? I'm a grad student, so I'm taking notes, reading papers, occasionally doing things like simple video editing and running fairly hefty software like NVivo and EndNote - any advice gratefully received!
Kudos to MS for making the new keyboard/Pen compatible to the Pro 3 which I own...I don't see much reason to upgrade my Surface Pro 3 at all...but I'm definitely getting the new Pen and keyboard.
+Gurvinder Parmar The new pen has no advantage on the Pro 3. It can only use 256 levels of sensitivity, the button layout is the same, and the top button's new functions are software based, meaning they only work if MS released Pro 3 drivers to make it work.
+://ReaperReaper the sensitivity levels are in the pen, not the tablet...I haven't gotten the pen yet...got the keyboard which runs flawlessly on the Surface Pro 3...thebnew trackpad really is as great as they say...I got the one with fingerprint reader which works instantly.
Gurvinder Parmar N-Trig doesn't work the same as Wacom. Pro 3 and 4 use N-Trig, which pressure sensitivity is built into the display, not the pen, which MS hasn't been clear about with the Pro 4 pen. The Pro 1 and 2 used Wacom, which the pen had the sensor. That is the only reason that older Pro pens don't work on the Pro 3 and 4. People have already used the Pro 4 pen on the Surface Pro 3, and it only gets 256 levels, it can't get 1024. The company I work for also is discontinuing a product because the Pro 2 was the only Surface still commercially available that the stylus could work with 1/4 plexiglass between the pen and display. That was due to the pen, which the Pro 3 and 4 can't use as plexiglass distorts any pressure sensors and there needs to be contact between the nib and glass to perform a click with N-Trig. Microsoft Store associates will also tell you that the digitizer is built into the display, so the pen doesn't measure pressure at all.
How would this go for replacing a Everyday Laptop for heavy video watching use? High Quality streams and such, I want something that 1. is Windows 2. new features 3. is built to last. Apple 13" MacBook Pro would have been my first choice but running Windows on Mac has some side effects I would prefer to avoid. Plan on getting a Windows Phone so I though hey might as well match and even better everything would work with my Xbox One.
Awesome Review Video for Tablet , it's quite entertaining and funny . Most review videos , reviewers are mostly sit down and speak ( that's quite bore ) but you make it more fun by riding scooter ( or something I don't know how to call it ) in the opening , playing Surface in various position on sofa , letting your dog play Surface , spinning on armchair with Surface , joking with your friend and such . Also , nice idea to put Surface Pro 3 & 4 face to face together like Pyramid ( in the end of video ) ^_^ ( Hope to see the review on Surface Book too )

How is it ??? Is it good for programming and watching movies please answer
Incredible video, Jon. In fact, this is the most I've enjoyed a Technobuffalo video in a long while. Keep up the awesome production.
Probably Microsoft's best comeback ever!

+Giselle Arellano Oh yeah... it'll run it three times over. Pup has a 6th gen i7 with 16 gb ram
Christopher Hill Fantastic!
+Giselle Arellano how does having an iPod Touch relate to this video -_-
water123m I could replace the iPod with it along with my laptop & the pen will feed my desire to draw. It's a 3 in 1 device! Make sense now?
+Christopher Hill Don't forget about those Iris graphics!
I bought a Surface Pro 4 in 2019 and I'm not regretting it. Thanks for the review!
I’m probably gonna get the Surface Pro (2017) model with LTE sometime this month. I hope it’s worth it!
Did you have any problems with your battery? or charging it?
4 to 4.5 year average battery life for surface pro 4. Ended up getting ripped off by AliExpress with fake battery HSABAT beware of this brand
does the new type cover work with the old surface pro 3?
+Brenden Pragasam yep
+Brenden Pragasam It's a great mini upgrade for the Pro 3. Especially the one with Fingerprint scanner.
I've been using the new one for months and it feels a lot better along with the neww pen. I can't go back to the old typecover now
Nicely edited video and great review. My wife is starting medical school and I am going to look into getting her a Surface 4. I don't think there are too many better options for a student.
If only it had Usb C pretty pissed about that, the only excuse is they're holding it back for the surface 5.
But as it is now. USB C is still at it's infancy. So it is just fine the way it is now. Not every th uses C just yet. So what's to be pissed about?

u using i 5 or i7 ? i saw comparison where i7 is more powerfull and like clocked, so it gets hotter

John, I'm surprised you missed the tablet mode in windows 10, which allows it to be used much better than windows 8 :)
Well i am from the future
Tablet mode will come back so just wait for a few years
That dog in the beginning glitched out for a second 😂
RIP IPad Pro 2015-2015
I have a surface pro 4 and I love it XD I also love how it knows when you flip the keyboard back so it shuts the keyboard off so you don't accidentally press anything
Should I get this or MacBook Pro for college/university? Thanks
+James Roper it depends on your uses... it's not as simple as a "get this" or "get that". unless you just have ~$1500 to blow
To each their own, but these are the reasons why I went away from the surface pro line
well the macbook pro costs you an arm and a leg :(
The production value of your videos has significantly improved! Keep up the good work, guys!!
The verge, take note. This is how you review the SP4.
That dog in the beginning was waiting for you to move again then got fed up.
Now I know that dog's alive, haha!
Yup depends on his health
Just got my surface pro 4 a week ago, honestly I love it. I'm a Mac fan all the way but needed a Windows machine for school. Yeah I could've gone cheaper but I really wanted a surface pro since the 3. I haven't used my apple devices at all in the last week. Highly recommend to anyone on the fence!
Wow guess they fixed the fuckups from the surface pro 3, wont be getting anymore of my money though.
I absolutely LOVE my SP3. One of the things I love about it most is the incredible screen. How can the SP4 have an even better screen?! It must be incredible; I can't wait to get infront of one.
Great video technobuffalo!! :)
The color profiles have been optimized and the screen has a higher pixel density (267 vs 216 PPI)
+PraxeoIogy Exactly my thought. Cool sneakers, Jon !
Seriously underrated. I hate how people are craving over those new iPad Pros but wouldn't bat an eye for innovation way back 2015!
It is good. I mean seriously, I like it.
But I just can't justify giving that much money to it.
You guys have made reviews entertaining to watch again. Good job, i'm now watching more TB videos because of these new formats.
I think you need to explain to your dog what the hell you're doing
I came really close to getting a surface book, but the screen wobble , lack of kickstand for the tablet component+battery life was just not for me.
All I wanted was a surface pro with a proper keyboard hinge and extra ports..
Anyone else remember the Jon4Lakers day?
+Michaelsp9 I do!!!
TechnoBuffalo ayyyy
Really liked what you guys did in this review. Looks very polished and very thought out. Definitely gave a different feel to review videos. Really appreciate the quality.
Great job!
Probably can't play arkham knight.
+Magikarp GG Maybe with the i7 with Iris graphics!
Sam Li
That's the only model with Iris graphics. The best integrated graphics.
That keyboard part was so funny! xD "The only thing that has changed is.... everything"
The Video was great! He was funny and had great puns! I enjoyed watching the review.
do you know if there making just a surface 4?
Should I get the Pro 4, or wait until the Pro 5?
pro 5 is most likely to come on october so I would wait for that because it may come with a new useful feature, and If not, the pro 4 will still drop its price
Ok thanks
Perfect timing, my bday is in October! Though I'm not getting a surface. I'm getting a cheaper Windows laptop. XD
october of 2016?
I have a few questions:
Will it support two monitors?
thanks for answers
Till
I'm getting it this Christmas. 👻
Just got one for the truck. Love the options and, how light, and fast it is!
Love it since RT
+Fer Rivero Still use my RT, great screen for watching youtube videos and Netflix...excellent machine!
+Fer Rivero rt is junk compared 2 pro
Thanks man. An awesome review. After a long time we got like this from you. Expecting more.
looks like the one I'll buy
Liking the new style of reviewing devices! Nice job TB!!
+ points for the dog and interaction with Mark B.
Windows 10?!! OMG. I've been under an apple rock for years. I left off at windows vista.
windows 10 is way better than vista. If you want to switch over, it is safe. Windows 10 is well worth your money
+BxGirlRN Blazin' Pff. Loved Vista.
+BxGirlRN Blazin' I'm in the same exact boat as you, last used windows with vista. Windows 10 looks real nice
Thank you.
If you want a laptop for school, get the MacBook air or pro. This is not worth the money.
+T-Tech Why tho?
+Aquins Varghese Why? touchscreen, being able to write notes and also record lectures then later sync it up to your phone or any other digital devices so you don't have to carry your laptop. You can even take a screen shot at your textbooks and make any notes or marks so that you can sell your textbook later.
+Michael Kartawidjaya but does that justify the price? A macbook pro/air, will get more resale value, battery life, a pro can handle heavy work load, a better keyboard and track pad.
+Aquins Varghese surface pro 4 is a direct competitor to mc air while surface book is for mac pro.
You can play Arkham Knight on the Pro 4. Sold.
I didn't like TechnoBuffalo for their boring reviews, but man! This review is gorgeous! I instantly subscribed.
I love the dog!
+Hellfire TheBeast Lucy says hi!
Hi Lucy. The name makes me think of Elfen Lied tho. I know I'm a bit (a lot) wierd.
Also, hugs for Lucy.
You two work together fantastically!
You should dead set be an nfl coach 👏👏👏👏👏😂...I was the only one who liked, because there's no one here in 2018 😔😔
6:38 is a position that should be tested with every device in every review. Period.
I love this product but still dont know why i want ipad ? m I hypnotized by appleeeeeeeeeeee ?...
+Farzana Fatema Don't waste your money on ipad unless you just want a toy. Had an ipad air 2 for about 24 hours once. Realized my mistake and took it back to get my money back.
+Farzana Fatema b.c you like ios gaming.Just save some and buy both they can happily live together 😄
I was obsessed with the Apple iPad pro for a while, but now I'm getting the SP4 i5 version, it's beautiful and is more faster and capable of doing office work
Well done with this review. Enjoyed the different format!
It's not the laptop of the future, its not even the tablet of the future. It's a laptop without a keyboard and a kickstand. Surfacebook on the other hand is closer to what i consider the future of laptops, just get rid of windows and put in a modern OS. Some Linux/Unix based platform.
I couldn't agree more with you! The Surface Pro 3 was horrible as a tablet and was even worse as a laptop!
You can dual boot Linux on it
AMK Yeah but will Ubuntu or Mint support touch screens and multi touch? I've not used linux on a laptop like touchscreen.
+Bobby King the surface pro 3 was amazing, what are you smoking
Ew Linux
Hi bought this for my photo booth , love it , pricey yes but as in the video it looks and runs excellent , don't forget you have to buy a usb hub since it comes with only 1 3.0 usb port
ipad pro is a joke
Can i use my surface pro 4 while charging, im scared that it might blow up since my charger always gets hot and it smells like its burning.
once Mac never Windows...
+leeyang1990 The shiny white apple logo blinding you from your surroundings?
+Nicholas Hatala comment of the week mr
+leeyang1990 ive never tried a mac so I wouldn't know :(
Leowulf™ calm down kid
Leowulf™ yes u are u don't have to brag about it
In the first 25 seconds you had me rolling. First because of how YOU rolled up into frame then you said "taab-uh-let."
who else is watching this on a pro 4?
sucerce pro
How is ur experience
Im
After all these, I’m still using this. It was just too good for its time 😂
You sir, talk so fast. Simmer down.
The damn great thing about this device is that it is cool and actually is very useful, you're getting a powerful laptop, a tablet, a good gaming machine, portability, and you don't have to spend 50 dollars for a drawing tablet or 300 for a Wacom if you're a professional.
It has been reduced for Black Friday with the tablet and the type cover all together starting at £599. I picked one up and recommend you do
Charles Carter same here got the 4 am with 128 with the keyboard (redone) for 750$ ! Used to be 1100 ! Nice 350$ discount
Great review! The format change was excellent and very enjoyable to watch!
Awesome Video Editing, very natural, the video feels more comfortable
Ahh I'm back. I left technobuffalo before because of the too long reviews usually caused by too much jokes or sidetracking. Now it feels so much more professional but still has that TB friendly vibe. I like it, Subbed back :D
Welcome back. We missed you!!
Really enjoyed watching the video! The scenery was really nice, felt really friendly and welcoming. John has a likeable, calm and friendly way of presenting things and this was no exception.
Picked up the Surface pro 4, i7 with 16gb of ram today. This thing is pretty damn good for a little tablet!!!
planning on purchasing surface pro for uni but stuck between 2 choices;
Surface pro 4- 128GB / Intel i5 - 4GB RAM £849.00 vs
surface pro 3- 256GB / Intel i5 / 8GB RAM £929.00
mainly use it for Microsoft office but sometimes i do light photo editing with Photoshop ( no video rendering) and might want to try playing dota2/skyrim on it.
what do you think?
256GB/i5/8GB RAM significantly more expensive than 128GB/i5/4GB RAM - is it worth it? I'm a grad student, so I'm taking notes, reading papers, occasionally doing things like simple video editing and running fairly hefty software like NVivo and EndNote - any advice gratefully received!
What were your settings (screen brightness, etc) and what were you doing during your 5 to 6 hours of battery life...
This is the most casual review I have ever seen. I like it. Haha
Gurvinder Parmar
N-Trig doesn't work the same as Wacom.
+Gurvinder Parmar
I have used both pens and it isn't worth upgrading, but you will love the new cover.
WoW ! Very good presentation ! But as long as it hasn't got a dvd/cd/blu-ray player, it will never be a replacement for a or at least my laptop.
John how does the dock work with it? I think that is a major selling feature over the IPad Pro, you can use it for work with two monitors.
Also , nice idea to put Surface Pro 3 & 4 face to face together like Pyramid ( in the end of video ) ^_^
( Hope to see the review on Surface Book too )
