I miss the F-14s. In 1987, I took a ‘maintenance check ride’, which is military speak for a pilot needs some extra cash and whoever has the most money, wins. And, to be honest, it wasn’t very comfortable. I’m 6’5”, 200lbs. It was cool. Even, awesome. But, if you can’t fit into a g-suit, ‘crotchless pants’, as one commenter suggested, I paid $400 to take a nap in a fighter jet. And, I only remembered about 5 minutes of the flight.
I miss wearing cargo shorts on the flight line. People always say you’ll burn yourself on a hot wheel after recovery, but you just gotta be more careful.

I worked at Duluth where there were a few 16's but never noticed a two seater, fast and loud that 16.
